The service and atmosphere overall was okay. I gave them a three because the couple behind me was offered samples because it was their first time however I didnt receive the same hospitality as it was my first time as well. I ordered the vegan crab cake wrap, chick pea burger, vegan Mac and cheese, greens and chocolate chip cookies. The crab cake was flavorful, the sauce complimented the wrap and tastes just like crabmeat! I was pleasantly surprised to see that they used dark green vibrant lettuce on the wraps instead of non-nutritional iceberg lettuce. I would order every time! On the other hand the chick pea burger was okay although I must be upfront I ate it a day and a half later. The mac and cheese was okay, needed a little more seasoning and taste like nutrients yeast and macaroni noodles, nothing to write home about. A little bit of spice would have taken it to another level. The greens were basic with an after taste that I couldn't quite but my finger on, same for the cookies. They lacked moisture and taste like your average off brand cookie. The crab cake will call you back every time and for that they get a 4...it's that damn good!!!

For a while, I've stopped going because the food has changed for the worst. So much salt was being used. I always go for the vegan ribs but, the taste started changing. Kale was dry, very raw with a lot of salt. Vegan Mac n cheese was disgusting. I'm no longer coming here because also a female worker was stirring something up (food) with her coat on! The rest were standing around talking while only the cashier was putting my food together.Parking: Not a good place for parking.

The food did not disappoint. I've heard so much about this place that I could not decide what to order. It came out pretty quickly. I had collard greens, sweet potatoes and akara (fried black eyed peas). My friend said the sweet potatoes tasted "healthy" but isn't that why we eat here? I mean...I would go back again. There's modest decor and the space could use a little brightening but I enjoyed my food so much! I'll be back and I'll recommend to everyone -- not only vegans.

The older folks take care of you but the younger employees gonna mess a good thing up. I'm taking a break from this place cause they messed my order up twice.

The food might be good but we didn’t experience it because the front desk had a bad attitude. Something is off when you ask what’s popular on the menu and the cashier rolls his eyes shrugs his shoulders and says he doesn’t know. We walked out and someone on the street asked what went wrong and said they had the same experience! Sad.
Coming down for a weekend trip to Baltimore from NyC and needed to find a place to kill an hour before my airbnb check in. This amazing vegan soul food spot is a 10 minute walk from the Amtrak station and an excellent inauguration to the spirit of Baltimore. The soul food places in Bushwick Brooklyn wishes they could taste this good. One of the proprietors offered my partner and I three sample cups of various sides unprompted, once again a sort of flourish that is hard to come by in NYC. And I topped off my shared black eyed pea fritters and sides with a strong and satisfying iced ginger tea.I am confident that everything on this menu is excellent and made with love. Any vegetarian, vegans, flexitarian, anyone should give this place a shot.

When I first learned about this place I was eager to visit and taste the food. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the food at all! My mac and cheese had no flavor or seasoning. I'm sorry to say the food was awful, a waste of money and I'll never go back again. Sorry guys, but this customer was not satisfied. Hopefully it'll get better.

Beautiful vegan restaurant. The meal is delicious, has a ton of flavor and beautiful textures, and there are many options to choose from. It doesn't taste like typical vegan food. Their "Curry Chickun" and barbecue ribs are definitely two of my favorites. You should definitely look them up, show your support, and occasionally eat vegan. It's time that carnivores, vegans, and vegetarians have additional options in addition to the wonderful service and good food they offer. I appreciate you and send you all my love. Since I haven't tried everything, I'm giving them four stars. Updates coming shortly
