This Bar is in an unique position, you can "Uber Eat" food to the bar while you purchase a drink or two. The bartender is cool. The ambience of this location is amazing. This is a favorite duck off spot. Hidden gem!Parking: Parking is tough.

Owner tried to gaslight my autistic friend. I've seen his reviews, but when I went in he was intrusive and got into every single conversation. It was too much. I didn't want to go back, but when my friend told me how he insulted their autism then defended it, I decided I was with them and wouldn't return. I've been watching these reviews, and I think it shows the quality of business he runs.Anyone who would lie about insulting an autistic person, then double down on it, followed by clear slander online, claiming this person is a drug user shows themself for who they are. *Drug use is something to be concerned about, not to lie about. Being that I heard what happened, I know he offered them a "Pocket beer from the bar"* I know who my friend is, which is the only reason I am posting this poor review.Everyone in the neighborhood who has read these or been told by the owner about this situation, know he is telling you half truths or out right lies.That is often the case with men who think they have power.I don't expect you to remember the people my friend brought in to that bar when they went in, even though it wasn't many. They will never be back in, and neither will I because of your personality and behavior.Anyone this combative is clearly trying to hide something, like reviews.

This is my neighborhood bar. The owner is really friendly and personable. It’s relatively new and he is making a lot of improvements. I see a lot of my friends from the neighborhood here and he has games and a large selection of alcohol even tho there’s no liquor. Once they have food it’ll be a go to spot for me. Less busy than some of the other bars down the street, especially on game days. Highly recommend. Right down the street from the Babe Ruth museum!

I have a great time every time I go to The Starting Lineup (or JR's bar as it is affectionately known as)... this bar is perfect for watching the game with TV's in perfect vicinity of every seat. JR makes you feel like a guest in his home every time you visit. Friendly regulars.. and a good selection of beers and seltzers. I highly recommend this cozy little dive for games or just for hanging out!
