I actually love this place. I've been going for the past few months & it's a great restaurant. They always make space for me & the food is phenomenal. Today, the manager questioned me twice on wether or not I paid for my order, and made me stop an additional time to confirm with a person who didn't take my order if I paid in cash. The person who took my order also didn't go back and check to see if my order was ready, and instead focused on other tasks which probably would've made the process a lot smoother. I've never experienced this or seen her, so this is an isolated incident, BUT it left a bad taste in my mouth.

Lots and lots of food options (don’t forget to look at their Menu Specials, separate from their regular menu). Loved that their menu was marked for dietary restrictions (I.e., GF) so we did not have to ask additional on how the dish was prepared. The server was very attentive and all dishes came out fast and fresh. Absolutely loved their garlic fried rice, good to have in addition to sushi rolls.Dietary restrictions: Menu is marked with all GF options.

We love Rakugaki! It's smaller, less chaotic, and a bit more stylish than its sister restaurant Raku in Bethesda. The hamachi crudo appetizer is my absolute favorite. The Sashimi is bright and fresh, and we always add scallop to the order. Rolls are pretty and delicious - we usually get the shrimp tempura, which is great. We also try to always order something off the specials list. Don't miss the spicy tuna on sticky rice if they have it! Decent wine by the glass, amazing service, and tons of parking right outside the door. Worth the drive to Potomac!

Food had good variety and were interesting fusion. Quality and taste were amazing for every bite, especially the sea urchin sushi and fatty tuna sushi. Drinks were great. Servers were super nice. Ambience was nice. A bit on the pricier end but well definitely return.

We've been looking for a sit down restaurant for sushi and we've found it. We come here almost weekly. Tuna tartar (pro tip: order extra bread) , green monster roll, black cod roll, tuna nigiri, miso glazed cod set, red dragon roll- all excellent. Don't forget to look at the specials with the QR code- there are some gems there. Like I said, we're here weekly and we love it. Friendly service is a plus! Earlier dinner reservations are very family friendly.

This is a quiet little neighborhood Japanese place. They make their own udon noodles which makes it stand out for me. The noodles are homemade though not hand cut. The noodles are chewy and just the right texture when they come out. The broth is excellent, flavored just right. It was not too sweet not salty and not too strongly flavored with soy sauce which makes the broth dark. It was light colored and lightly seasoned to perfection. I am quite picky when it comes to udon noodles and broth and am disenchanted with most udon served at restaurants. But I would highly recommend this place for a hot bowl of udon. The toppings are not as plentiful as some Japanese restaurants in this area. However, if you're like me then the broth and noodles are most important componants and if they are not done right then no amount of toppings makes it better. We had the combo with some nigiri and the spicy tuna roll and eel over rice. The combo also comes with a good size bowl of udon. It was a robust meal. The nigiri was fresh and the rice not too big. The roll was good too. The eel was soft and melted in your mouth. The combo comes with a hearty salad. We just had water as a beverage and the water was filtered well and tasted good. This matters to me. Some restaurant bring out water that tastes like it's straight from the tap. The service was gracious and attentive. I look forward to visiting this place more often in the future while trying different items. If I want a serious bowl of udon I now know where to go where I won't be disappointed. Tip: when the combo comes out, eat the udon first so you enjoy the noodles and hot broth at their best!

Very good food! I started to meet friends there for lunch as the food is very good! Mushroom dish was impressive! Services usually very good as well!

Delicious sushi spot - so far I would stay away from the ramen and udon - they are fresh, but not a ton of flavor there

Many moons ago I sat at the bar and had an oyster appetizer, got food poisoning right afterwards. My dining mate did not partake and everything was fine for her. Service was also slow even though it wasn't overly full, I guess they are just less attentive at the bar.

Teishoku is a nice platter for lunch or dinner. There was so much food I couldn't finish it. Not a big udon fan but some of it looked really good so might get it next time. Service was really good. Nice place for a long meal that feels separate from the rest of wildwood.

Rakugaki just might be my new favorite noodle spot. I randomly stumbled upon this place after hiking in Great Falls, and this place truly hits the spot. The menu is incredibly extensive, with a huge selection of apps, rolls, and entrees. There aren't many places in the area that truly specialize in udon, but Rakugaki does! My favorites are the Gaki Udon and Gyu Ontama. The broth is clean and not too heavy, and the bowls come with a generous portion of meat. On my second dining experience here, I tried the combo meal, which you get a bento box of your choice + udon for roughly $20. They were running a special for a toro combo which was so fresh. Highly recommend this place. Great spot for any occasion as long as you're looking for authentic udon.
