Great environment and attentive service. Multiple people at the restaurant were involved in the service and management making it an enjoyable evening. The raw bar and oysters were a HIT. I was disappointed with the featured and LIMITED items on the menu. It is strange to see monkfish and rockfish as the featured items for the best seafood dishes. It is in a great location. I would focus on this place for Happy Hour and the raw bar.

Our service was excellent the food just wasn't very good. I had seafood stew which was bland and tasted like it was made last week. My husband had the Mai Mai and he said it had a strange taste, not appealing. We are not picky eaters but the food wasn't worth a trip back.

Loved the ambience, service was amazing, staff very accommodating but the dish I ordered was so overcooked it was hard to eat. Was disappointed. I would give Salt Line another try despite the bad experience with my food.

Wow. Was hesitant to dine here with friends based on lukewarm reviews but was pleasantly surprised to find that everything was perfection. The ambiance was bright and elegant, the staff, including our phenomenal server Matthew, were attentive without being overbearing, the food was perfectly seasoned, portioned and exceptionally flavorful. Our water glass was always full, which is a rarity these days. I am so glad we gave this place a try and would be delighted to return. Highly recommend for a date night, night out with friends, or just a cozy place for a drink and solid meal.

Outstanding discovery of a new favorite in Bethesda. The menu is great for seafood lovers and the restaurant has a great New England vibe. Nice to take a break from Bethesda's hectic street scene.

This was one of the best dinners I've had in awhile. We shared many of the dishes and everything was awesome! I highly recommend checking out the Monkfish, the sauce and flavors were unreal. Also, the Salty Wallbanger was phenomenal - a must try!

Food was very good. I had the rockfish. It cooked perfectly: moist and flavorful. The accompanying dijon-sauteed vegetables complemented the fish well. It was not overpowering, if not particularly memorable. The bucatini and clams were excellent. Portion sizes were adequate. Service was friendly and competent. While I'm not sure the restaurant lived up to the initial hype, it's solid, and certainly fills the void in Bethesda seafood created when Passion Fish closed. I recommend The Salt Line, and would eat there again.
Chowder was excellent. Both the monkfish and rockfish were perfectly cooked, but they were drowning in butter which obscured the flavor of the fish. My spouse didn't mind the amount of butter with the fish. Vegetables were excellent. Key Lime pie was really a meringue pie with a thin layer of key lime filling. It was very pretty though. The apple cranberry crisp was ok, but the cranberry overwhelmed the rest of the flavor of the dessert. James provided excellent service.

We're not local to MD and stopped in for dinner. The lobster roll, fresh oysters, and crisp green salad were so refreshing.

Food and service excellent. Wife had lobster roll and said best she has ever had at SL. I had crab roll which was also great. The most pleasant surprise was desert (warm chocolate cake) which was one of best desserts we've had in MD.

We were greeted warmly and sat at a comfortable booth. We were there for a birthday celebration, so we had a dessert with a candle for the finale. I would recommend ordering the fish dishes, as it is a fish-speciality restaurant. The waiters and the host were fantastic!
