I reserved a half bushel of crabs, went in, he picked through the crabs and shot the sh*t with me, loaded me up with what was 3/4 bushel of the most beautiful crabs I’ve ever seen…not the typical 5” “number ones.” I was seriously impressed and won’t be buying crabs from anyone else. Excellent food/wine recommendations from Jen!Lucky for us we were able to order from the last week of the winter/spring menu.! We opted for the baked local wild diver oysters! We both agreed they were the best we have had this year! So tender and flavorful! Hubby opted for the short rib bourguignon and he loved it. If I see Coq au vin on a menu it’s my go to! Served over house made egg noodles it was the best I’ve ever had! 5⭐️’s all the way! The Bistro is a must while in STM!”

The service is quick and efficient. There are loads of bean options if you are buying a bag.Best of all, it's got the "small town" vibe that local residents from all walks of life can enjoy. “The food was excellent and the server talented and nice. The only reason that it is not 5 stars is that they are still currently renovating the upstairs. Also, be aware that to get upstairs, which is the quieter part of the restaurant, requires one to ascend a rather steep staircase---I am not sure if they have an elevator.”

“I was able to take advantage of their Valentine's Day ordering, and my husband was soooo surprised with his Salted Caramel Ice Cream!!!The best purchase was the Valentine's Cake they offered, and with a limit of 20 available, I was one of the lucky ones. The cake was sublime! It had luscious layers of various ice creams, and the hidden gem was the gooey fudge section, almost like hot fudge, minus the hot!!! The best $40 I've spent in a very long time ( as an Instacart Shopper, it took me 2 orders to pay for it, but well worth the extra effort it took me)!!!I'm definitely looking forward to their spring opening. I highly recommend that if you're in the area of Oxford, MD, it is a MUST STOP!! They also have a sister eatery just across the street, Oxford Social Cafe. I have not eaten their but it looks like a very nice hometown place to enjoy. Both locations will invoke memories of a time long gone. “The food is wonderful and the menu always has new and exciting things. Unfortunately I have to comment that the chairs are not comfortable for my older body and the noise level is horrendous. Carpeting on the ugly floor would help a lot. But I will continue to eat there because the food is outstanding. We have never been disappointed. I just wish it were more quiet and had better chairs. Bigger tables wouldn't be amiss either.”

“Delicious teas, and the Gelato was out-of-this-world! Specifically the tiramisu Gelato, the coffee flavor was complex and delicious, not the burnt flavor you get from most 'coffee flavored' things. Definitely my favorite place in St. Michaels for a sweet treat! The best part though is the service. The owners are warm, welcoming people. I absolutely love this place!”

“We stopped in for breakfast and was greeted with a friendly smile at the small entrance near the counter. The hostess was honest about the wait and assured us it would be worth it! The chef had soft shell crab egg Benedict as a special with good old eastern shore real sautéd chunky potato hash and fresh fruit. The scrapple is cooked crispy and an original Maryland/De favorite. The service was great and the atmosphere very eclectic and cozy. A great little gem with lots of character and great local food served with love and originality~”

“We randomly found the town of St Michael's and decided to take a day trip there. It was a fun drive across the Bay Bridge. On our way to downtown St Michaels we saw this tiny shack in the parking lot. I immediately yelped it and found out that they serve beverages, coffee and juices, as well as some breakfast items and pastries. On our way home, we stopped by the cozy shack and ordered two iced macchiatos and a matcha latte. The service was quick. I was worried that we might be holding up the drive thru lane with our order, then came to find out that they accept orders at both sides of the shack! It was perfect for a hot summer day! We all agreed that their flavor is better than starbucks. We will definitely remember to visit next time when we visit St Michaels”

“This place is charming and worth the 20-minute drive from either Easton or Cambridge. The nod to old Italy is clear and the welcoming staff are friendly and accommodating. The manager made cocktails catered to our tastes. The chef greeted our table and every course was picked for us by the chef. He paid attention to our likes and dislikes and prepared or melas special for us. This is a treasure and an experience you will remember for a long time.”

“We decided to go to St Michael's island for the day. It was our first time going there unfortunately, crab season ended the day before we arrived, so none of the restaurants we wanted to go to have crab on the menu. Matter of fact, some of the restaurants had closed for business for the fall, and did not plan to reopen until late spring. We went to this restaurant in tried the fake postures, and they were PHENOMENAL!! I wish I would've taken a picture, but I ate them too fast! They took about 20 minutes to come to the table and it was well worth it. I wish I had ordered more, but I only ordered six and they closed at 4 PM. We got there at 3:30 PM.”

“Love this place. My girlfriend and I always find time to visit and get a delicious bite to eat. It's a wonderful spot with personality to it. Food is excellent, good drinks as well, def try the Avocado boat and do not skip the desserts, they are incredible as well.”

“Get the raspberry bar! It's my favorite. I spent way too much time and money here while visiting St Michaels. The muffins have wonderful flavor but are a bit crumbly(probably just a byproduct of being gluten free). All of the bars are great. The oatmeal cream pie was a hit with my non gluten free partner.”

“Really cool spot with can’t miss views of the water. Service was great and they have a large menu filled with fresh seafood. We ordered a half dozen crabs and they threw in several extras. Reservations are recommended, especially for mid-late afternoon. Check Bay Bridge traffic if coming from Annapolis!”

“Fantastic Oyster Buffet, Friday nights! Raw oysters shucked right in front of you. Buffet has several varieties of cooked oysters, constantly brought out fresh. Baked pineapple is a nice add on. Plenty of other buffet items. All fresh all good!”
