“Memory lane. My old friend used to get food from here and share it with me. I didn't know that and didn't understand why she braved through the hood for this place until I left the DMV area. It's worth it. This was the first place that I was introduced to Chinese carryout food and mumbo sauce. Check this out: Mumbo sauce is a DIP for fried chicken wings and not a wet rub. The correct and best way is to dip your fried chicken wings in the mumbo sauce (like you dip your wings in ranch dressing). If you want to smother your wings in mumbo sauce, then that is your personal preference, but anyone or any place serving the wings to you already smothered in mumbo sauce is wrong. Mumbo sauce is pink and is supposed to come in a condiment cup (just like ranch dressing). Another thing: The wings here taste good on their own and better with mumbo sauce. Best wings in the DMV. Best mumbo sauce in the DMV. Best wings & mumbo sauce pairing in the DMV. I said it. I left the DMV years ago and there is no American Chinese carryout that compares to this place in my travels. Trust me, only NYC Chinese carryouts can dare compete. I only took off a star because of my ordering experience years ago. I brought my brother here to order carryout because I am not brave enough to go to the hood by myself, and the lady who took my order was rude, not nice, unfriendly, unwelcoming, the worst. It's as if I wasn't a human being. If I wasn't determined to have my brother taste the food (he agreed that it tasted really good), then I would have turned around and said forget it.”

“When I first moved to Capitol Heights, I assumed that I would have to travel far for vegetarian/vegan food or make it myself. And how surprised was I that there was a vegan restaurant down the road! Each day the menu changes, so you could have a favorite every day of the week. And the portions! You can make SEVERAL meals out of one dinner. Is it cheap? NOPE! But something that's good for your body AND soul shouldn't be.”

“This is a local hidden gem! This is a carryout so you can not eat in. But when I tell you the food is delicious... it's delicious. This is one on those place you go to when you want to feel like you're eating home cooked food. I always go for the breakfast and it never disappoints. Jenny, the owner, is so kind and if you order from there more than once SHE REMEMBERS YOU!! Now that is the type of costumer service you want to get when you spending your coins! I definitely recommend this place. It's well worth the money!”

“Busy Blue-collar Breakfast & lunch spot. Good customer service, only don't expect them to answer phone to take your orders from 7-8:30am(not likely). It can be a wait for items off the grill. The food is hot, & fresh, well cooked. Western omelet, pancakes, are popular 4 breakfast . Chicken Noodle soup, Baked Chicken legs quarters, & Beefaroni(really good) are lunch top picks.

“Stopped in to kill time before my doctor's appointment. The man inside was extremely nice, and made sure I got exactly what I wanted on my sub. Is was nice to have someone ask if it was good before he wrapped my sub. The sub was really good. He was very friendly. If you're in the area please stop here.”

“We ordered catering pans from here for 4th of July 2025. Everything was excellent. The turkey wings and gravy are so good. Yams, green beans macaroni and cheese were also delicious. I usually cook myself but needed a break this holiday. All of the food was seasoned well. Not salty just well seasoned and flavorful. Customer service was great and they were very accommodating with my large order. We will definitely frequent this business again.”
