“Let me get straight to the point....This is the best Jamaican food I've ever had.Period.The oxtails fell of the doggone bone y'all!!!And they were seasoned masterfully. Somebody in that kitchen knew exactly what they were doing! At other restaurants, they usually add too much clove or one spice is dominant above all others. The seasoning on these oxtails was perfectly balanced. The rice and peas were absolutely delicious. The rice was delightfully chewy and ever so slightly sweet. The shredded cabbage had the perfect mix of crunch and spice. And speaking of spicy, let's talk about this sorrel. I've never had sorrel with so much ginger. This drink has some BITE baby.... get you some of that!!The beef patty was flaky, a little spicy and very good. There was a little too much crust (or maybe not enough filling) for me, but it didn't take away from the taste at all.Aside from the incredible food, young lady behind the counter was very nice. Jamaican spots are not really known for their hospitality but it was great to get a plate of incredible food, minus the attitude.Aside from a few seats inside of the restaurant, there is also a small bar as well as a seating area outside with a fire pit. I might have to come back and bring my girls. This spot closes at 8:00 p.m. during the week (9:00 p.m. on Saturday), so make sure you get here in time to get you a plate of this deliciousness.“

“Enjoyed dinner with friends here, but not sure if I will go back. We shared appetizers, and the star was the veggie wontons. The BBQ Pork Bao was much better than the chicken bao. The veggie hot pot was great to share. Delicious and loaded with a nice variety. The entrees came at much different times, which was disappointing. (At least 15 minutes) My veggie lomein was just okay. Drinks were also sporadic in arrival, and water refills were a wait. Was fairly empty when we arrived, but did fill up more later. There was a podium as you walk in, but no one was positioned there. You had to enter the restaurant and ask to be seated. Dinner was okay, but will try somewhere else next time or go when not busy.“

“I went to LaTao for the first time and it was a great experience for a chilly, winter evening. The service was fast and attentive. The food was delicious — I like that you can get 2+ broths and they have the option to make the broths vegetarian. There are many meat and vegetable options. I’ll be back and I would definitely recommend coming here.“

Hot Pot

“Came in for a quick pre-dinner snack and will definitely be coming back!We got the spicy tuna roll, grilled seasonal vegetables, and grilled pork belly. All very fresh and cooked perfectly! Curious to come back and try more. Our waiter suggested the ramen and ribs! We ate inside Shabu Plus (a bit confusing since it is 3 establishments in one). It was beautiful inside and decorated very nicely. Overall a great experience, we'll be back for the full one!“

“Came for the tiktok pancake meme and returned for the sushi rolling class. Eating lunch on a slow mid-day Saturday afternoon was a pleasant experience with attentive staff and pretty good food. We noticed they had a build your own sushi class and booked it for a few weeks later. This was a really cool experience with a bit of background and feedback from the head chef. It was a terrific value as well and I think it might be the best way to experience the restaurant. I would recommend a visit, and highly recommend the class.“
