“Have always had great sushi at this location but I tried the Negimaki Chicken appetizer today and it was terrible, unable to eat it actually. Tried one piece and it was extremely tough and chewy. Tried another and same result. Remainder went in the trash. The spring onions were really the problem here and should be replaced with Asparagus maybe. If Katana would make and try this themself they will know what I’m talking about.“

“We booked a private room for our daughter's birthday. The service was excellent (very pleasant). The sushi and sashimi was so tasty. I enjoyed the red bean mochi. They brought an ice cream platter and sang happy birthday too. Also the clientele was very kind and wished our daughter Happy Birthday on the way out as well. Great experience!“

“If you want good sushi you have to go to Yama Sushi period. The sushi is fresh and tasty, and they have a vast selection of rolls. I always get my usual rolls and try a new one. I have not been disappointed. My wife and I have been going here for several years and the service has always been stellar. The owner always greets us and makes us feel at home. I highly recommend this place.“

“Fantastic sushi tucked away in an unassuming strip mall. I’ve been a couple times because there are so many appealing sushi rolls and they have all been fantastic. The fish is fresh, the proportions are good. I’d avoid the cocktails, they are underwhelming. They can be slow when busy but that should be expected when sushi is being made to order.“

“Don't come at me for liking this place. Yes it's expensive. Yes the view of the lake is nice and calming. Yes the servers aren't Japanese even if it's a Japanese restaurant. Yes it's right near Whole Foods which is probably part of why it's expensive. In comparison to the other sushi restaurants in the area, I think this place has enough ambiance things going on to justify the price. Also where else am I going to get eel avocado with that much green on it and thickly sliced eel? Salmon sashimi (ate it too quick) was thick, melt in the mouth, and delicious. Tempura udon was pretty good too. Went here for lunch and will probably be back!“

“Recently went to Fuji Japan since most restaurants in the area were closed and my parents and I were craving some type of Asian cuisine.Food is average, but decent given the price. It's a casual restaurant so when ordering you go up to the counter and pay for your food. If you decide to dine-in they'll serve you. Service is fairly quick though so no complaints about that. I had tried their boba which was not the best but not the worst. I don't think I would get it again in comparison to actually boba stores. It's definitely not tea based but I'm just glad it wasn't overly sweet. The tapioca tasted pretty good though! I recommend their miso soup but their salad and tempura you can skip out on.“

“Devon was the nicest and best waitress we ever had. My family and I often go to Kabu because we like the food. This time not only was the food good are waitress Devon was so wonderful. She was kind, nice and showed great patience. We came on a Monday so there weren’t a lot of chefs for Hibachi. There was a wait but she checked in to keep us updated. We didn’t mind waiting because of her. The chef we had that night was also wonderful. I almost didn’t come back to Kabu because the last waitress I had wasn’t nice. If you are looking for a nice waitress ask for Devon.Kid-friendliness: I like how the chef engages my sons and Devon was sweet enough to get them some child chopsticks.“

“Definitely a place to stop by to enjoy some sushi. We had the shrimp tempura, California roll, spicy tuna eel, and the ramen. Atmosphere was great; staff were attentive and very professional. Def looking forward to trying out the entire menu. I drove so I couldn't order from the drink menu. There is quite a selection. My phone died before I could take pictures of the drink menu. “My partner and I ordered the Wayne's and Hawaiian rolls. The Wayne's was better. We also shared chicken and steak hibachi which was delicious, juicy steak and chicken chunks in a sauce with amazing fried rice and veggies.We also received a complimentary appetizer of imitation crab in a yummy sauce, and a slice of cheesecake. The appetizer was better than the cheesecake.We would come back again.“

Tonkatsu 10/10- crispy, lots of sauce- comes with rice, pasta salad with cucumbers, a side salad, pickled yellow radish, and a small bowl of miso soup - they used to also give kimchi but I guess they updated the menu Once you order, they'll call your order name/number on the intercom once it's finished. Service is relatively quick!“
