Came here with our family after my daughter's swim meet on the College Park campus. The kiddos all love soup dumplings so we decided to give this spot a try. It was EXCELLENT. Highlights were chicken lo mein (so flavorful), dry sautéed string beans, and pork dumplings. Service was quick and servings were generous. Wish we lived closer- this would become our go to Chinese place.
First time at the new Eastern Gourmet in College Park, and it did not disappoint at all. For those looking for authentic, Sichuan flavors and cuisine, you've found a good spot. This spot will certainly make for a good carry out/pickup meal if that's more what you're looking for. Let's start with the rating: why 4 and not 5? Yum!! This place replaced bobbys burger, but if you didn't look closely enough you'd miss it since they didnt change the signs! We ordered sweet and sour pork, a vegetable dish, and pork soup dumplings. The dumplings were so so soupy, while the pork dish and vegetables balanced each other so well. I think i'd go here whenever I'm craving chinese food in the area, and let me tell you, all the other customers around us were asian as well haha.
