Yum!! This place replaced bobbys burger, but if you didn't look closely enough you'd miss it since they didnt change the signs! We ordered sweet and sour pork, a vegetable dish, and pork soup dumplings. The dumplings were so so soupy, while the pork dish and vegetables balanced each other so well. I think i'd go here whenever I'm craving chinese food in the area, and let me tell you, all the other customers around us were asian as well haha.

Extremely poor service, we need to grab the manu by ourself. They even deliver the wrong food twice.

We had a dinner on the Tuesday evening. The service was real slow. One of the dish didn't came out at all and they didn't take out of the check. We had to ask several times for a to-go box.

Came here with our family after my daughter's swim meet on the College Park campus. The kiddos all love soup dumplings so we decided to give this spot a try. It was EXCELLENT. Highlights were chicken lo mein (so flavorful), dry sautéed string beans, and pork dumplings. Service was quick and servings were generous. Wish we lived closer- this would become our go to Chinese place.

The service was just okay. The environment isn't bad; everything looks new and neat. However, the music is too loud from my point of view.I was not pleased with the food. I ordered Sautéed Beef with Scallion and Chili Oil Wonton, but what I received was Sautéed Beef with Onion. I did not want Onion; I wanted Scallion! This made me feel... cheated. But, beef was good, so I ate all beef and left onion there. The worst part was that my Chili Oil Wonton was served only when I was ready to leave. In other words, I was waiting for around 30 minutes for the Chili Oil Wonton. In the end, I just asked for a to-go box to wrap up the Chili Oil Wonton.Anyway, it's great to have a new Chinese restaurant nearby the campus. However, I was not happy with this experience, and I am unsure if I will visit again.

The service is the worst! They didn’t service us a menu until we waited more than20mins and actively asked them. They left the menu and no one came to take our order! Then We waited 20 minutes more. The dishes are just normal but the service is the best!

First time at the new Eastern Gourmet in College Park, and it did not disappoint at all. For those looking for authentic, Sichuan flavors and cuisine, you've found a good spot. This spot will certainly make for a good carry out/pickup meal if that's more what you're looking for. Let's start with the rating: why 4 and not 5? This restaurant can certainly improve their service, specifically in attentiveness to customers. There were a few moments where we had to advocate for ourselves a little more, as opposed to being attended to as guests in their restaurant (waiting to be seated, waiting to order). However, the staff in there are certainly not sitting idly; they're moving around at all times focused on getting people their food -- and fast. One other area for improvement, there are still some big Bobby's Burger Palace signs that are outside of the restaurant, making it a little confusing. Ignore the signs and go on in! Other than that, excellent flavorful food that left us wanting more. We ordered the Shrimp Pork Soup Dumplings, a solid starter. For our entrees, the Ghost Pepper Sliced Chicken was the star of the show! Wow -- incredibly flavorful, spicy, and tender chicken that feels like it melts in your mouth. It was so good that it overshadowed the Sichuan Beef, which was also delicious and flavorful, although a tad well done for my liking. We included the Garlic Bok Choy to get some more veggies on the table; it was exactly the side we needed. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying the many other interesting items on the menu! Although it's going to be tough to ignore that Ghost Pepper Chicken... I'd strongly recommend it for any first timers. And btw, this is coming from a guy who never actively targets a chicken dish. A strong 4 stars!

Had the scallion pancake beef roll! Scallion pancake was crispy and beef was tender. It was opening day and there weren’t too many people yet, but service was pretty quick! I will be coming back! Also, they serve lemon water which is quite lovely.

Don’t go there unless you have billions of time to waste and want to be furious. The service is horrible. Obviously they are still not ready to open. Every table needs to wait at least 30mins to have the first dish delivered, and then wait for another 30mins for the next. But the weirdest thing is that the takeout seems to be much quicker than dining in. I just don’t get it.They seem to have no idea to serve. NOT Professional at all! They even missed one of our orders when there are almost no other customers at the time we order. And they are not showing good attitude when we correct their mistakes.

Went on opening day with a group of friends! I am very glad they opened up a Chinese restaurant near UMD! The atmosphere was awesome, and the place was very spacious and well decorated. It was not too busy when we went (around 5pm), but the place was mostly full when we left. The food was good, especially the crispy pig feet and beef appetizer dish. The crab pork soup dumplings were okay, and the bok choy we got was decent. We also ordered an eggplant dish but it never came, but I will cut them some slack since it was their grand opening day and there were a lot of people. Plus, they did not bill us for that dish anyways. The servers were all super nice! But, we were not attended to much (maybe because we were seated in a corner?). I wish the servers came by to check on us and refilled our waters. The check took awhile to come but I know they were working hard to get our check split for the table. The prices for each dish is around $15-$20, but if you order family-style and share, you can save a lot of money! My group was large (7-9people) and we ordered around 5 dishes, each person had to pay around $10.Overall, the experience was very good! I would definitely come back to try their other dishes and invite others here. I really want to see this restaurant succeed in the area, and give them time to settle in. I think this is a great hangout place for college students who want to have some authentic Chinese food!

The restaurant just opened! My group went for their first day :))The food was good! Particularly the mala spicy fried pig feet and the bok choy with garlic sauce. The soup dumplings were okay (solid but better elsewhere) and the beef appetizer was not bad too. I didn't get to try it but my group liked the beef + vegetables with ghost pepper dish.Service was a bit slow overall (understandable given their first weekend open). Our appetizer came out quite fast when there were less people, but the entrees took longer and longer as more customers entered. But the servers are nice and do their best to help!I would come back for the spicy pig feet and the bok choy or to try the eggplant dish. They seem to specialize in mala dishes (those were the tastiest!).

Very authentic Chinese food. We ordered Mapo Tofu, double cooked pork belly and an appetizer. Highly recommended Mapo Tofu. Not too spicy and made vegan to adapt to local tastes, but still got that numbing punch from the Szechuan pepper sprinkle.

I think this is one of the best Sichuan restaurant in DMV area. I like it a lot when they were still in Wheaton and they just moved to college park recently. The taste is very authentic and the price is reasonable. I highly recommend the mapo tofu and double cooked pork.

I love the beef roll and spicy pig feet?. I ordered a noodle dish with 1 ?️ but it was very spicy! Be sure to tell them not too spicy if you are like me that can only take little spiciness! Waiters are nice! I live nearby and I will definitely come often to try different dishes!!!? Best wishes to them! ???
