“Solid food really good quesadillas. The wait was not too bad after ordering, only about 15 minutes. Very friendly and kind. The truck is located by a gas station with plenty of parking which is nice. The truck has cool lights and the menu is on the truck and on little paper sheets by the window.“
“I wish this business would open a dine-in restaurant. This truck operates daily, and the tacos are the absolute bomb. It is cash only, and tacos range from $3-4 per taco. Definitely recommend if you’re craving some freshly made tacos in the Arlington area.“
“This is my new favorite restaurant. No matter where you’re from, the food here tastes like home and the cozy neighborhood vibe and friendly, attentive service only add to it. I stumbled across Balangay at the brunching hour on a lazy winter weekend and I never wanted to leave! Best meal I had out in all of 2023. Come and support Chef Wing and the team in 2024; you won’t be disappointed!“
“It's a really nice place to go. Had a date with my wife here. Really one of those rare places you love to support. The food is great and the service too. Great option for carry out if you don't want to eat outside. My wife said awesome date ?? ? ?“
“these are the real deal - or, as close as you'll get in DC. i moved from California and have had some questionable tacos around here, but these are very, very good - and while it's not dirt cheap, it's reasonably priced. highly recommend.“
“The burritos are great here: fresh ingredients wrapped in a beautiful, almost polished, tortilla.Chilled Jarrito sodas sold here too.I was surprised to find this is a food truck in a quasi-permanent installation near a gas station, but don't let that stop you. And, there is a suitable sit-down space across the street and the Takoma Junction community area including a covered area. One suggestion to the restaurant: add some more sauce options; my personal favorite is chipotle sauce ?“
“The pho hit the spot. Nice fried tofu and seared king oyster mushrooms as the protein. Could use some more basil but otherwise great pho and broth. I was one of two diners initially, but the server was exceptional - walking to refill my water glass as soon as I finished it, providing me an extra napkin when I had used my initial supply, and even waving to me on my way out when the restaurant was busier. Would return. One bowl of vegan pho after tax and tip was $25 Updated from previous review on 2024-03-02“
“Starting with the fun energetic associate who took my order, he was photerriffic!! The food is excellent you get quite a bit for your money! I love the banh mi sandwich but today I tried the tacos so phoexcellent! If you’re in the area give them a try if you want good phooofood? ThAT is pho delicioooosooogood!!! I can’t wait to go back in the office just to go to this spot! Keep up the good teamwork!!“
“Halal Brothers is one of the best hidden gems in Silver Spring! I always get the delicious chicken over rice. The chicken is always ultra fresh and perfectly cooked, portions are large, the white sauce and spicy sauces are incredible, it's balanced with the perfect amount of rice and greens, the price is low cost, and the owners are very friendly and kind. Highly recommend to all!“
“Definitely check out Muối Tiêu! We came in the night before but they said the wait was 2+ hours, so we returned the next day to dine in. Aim to make reservations as the place is often packed and expect to wait a few minutes even with a reservation. The atmosphere is lively and cute yet casual. Personally id rate the food a 3.8 out of 5.Their gỏi cuốn is unique, tasting like a cross between the traditional dish and bò bía. The bánh xèo is crispy and comes with an abundance of fresh herbs, though it was a bit too oily for my taste. The thịt kho is decent and had complementary sides. However, the pork had too much fat and was overly salty. The gỏi dish was good but slightly too sweet. The flan was a nice, sweet way to end the meal. The server we had was very welcoming, had a bright smile, and was attentive to customers. Her shadow also did an excellent job. However, both nights we came in the woman at the front had a rather reserved manner, not quite welcoming.Wheelchair accessibility: A bit cramped and crowded in general, but some tables look like they have enough space for wheelchairs. Their are steps to travel up to the bathrooms.“
“Delicious! Simply delicious and authentic Mexican Tacos. I stumbled upon this food truck searching for food at Whole Foods couldn’t have been more grateful for the find. It was exactly what I was looking for, healthy, authentic, Mexican tacos….I slammed a burrito and Avena drink as well hehe.“
“Situated in a buzzing food hall, this place still manages to stand out.The staff are just great; so friendlyandhelpful. They allowed me to sample everything before deciding what to have. But even then, it was so difficult because everything was delicious.“
“This place is a hidden gem. Inexpensive, authentic, and delicious Latin American food. The pupusas and tacos are great. There are other things on the menu but I’ve never tried them, because once you’ve tried the pupusas and tacos it’s hard to order anything else.“
“I almost didn’t want to write this because this truck has become my BEST kept secret lol but I can’t deny them a worthy review. The food is SO DAMN GOOD!!!!!!! Fresh, quality, seasoned ingredients, GENEROUS HEFTY PORTIONS, & literally EVERYTHING IS DELICIOUS!!! I’ve gotten their steak taco bowl, chicken taco bowl, carne asada tacos, pupusas, steak quesadillas, burritos, made to order and everything was loaded with meat, fresh veggies, delicious condiments and sides. Even their sour cream is perfect & I don’t even like sour cream that much.I love it here!!!!!!!!! Side note: they are so hardworking and sweet, they’ve even been open during inclement weather, which I have thanked them for profusely. I will keep supporting this business ever chance I get as I could eat here everyday happily.“
“Great Salvadoran ?? food! One of the best in town for pupusas and pescado frito. A great veriaty of menu options to fit your cravings, like yuca con chicharon (yuca with fried pork), savory beef and chicken dishes, and the frescos are also great.“
“In the shadows of the Mall, we stopped on our evening stroll. I’m totally a No-Go when it comes to food trucks…but we were starving from a day of travel & we decided to give it a shot. So happy we did! Eat here-you won’t regret it.“
“The food is fantastic. I had the shrimp, steak and chicken tacos. The sauces that came with the tacos are super good. I also had the taco dip, which was also amazing. I took some back to my staff and everyone loved it. We have found a new lunch spot.“
“We found out about Emmerest several years ago from one of our church friends and have ALWAYS been pleased with the crabs & service! The ladies are always very nice & accommodating who’ve taken my orders and the crabs are delicious!!! Be sure to order early because the run out quick…Gonna order again today!#OneHappyCustomer“
“This place is outstanding! The birria quesadilla is a must order. We also had the Sunday special mole enchilada, and their mole was incredible! They also have a great selection of beverages. The atmosphere is very unique and I liked it. It's in a hotel parking lot, you order at a counter, get a number, and find your own table. It's a real dive!Parking: Parking lot is behind a hotel“
“I have been a long time customer of the truck but live in Kensington, and am thrilled they have opened! Their food is always amazing, they never disappoint!Vegetarian options: My favorite vegetarian option is the mushroom tacos! Soooooo good! ?“
“This is not a Restaurant, if you look for the place there is a house that apparently sells beer, on one side you will see a white food truck and this is where you have to order the variety of dishes they offer. The price-quality-flavor are very good and they are very worth enjoying either right there on some tables that they have which would be uncomfortable in cold weather because it is outdoors, so it is better to order to go.“
“These are the best papusas I have had since moving to the east coast. Hands down my favorite! This is a little good truck in the parking lot of a gas station, so not a sit down restaurant, but they have done a better job in that truck than any of the fancy el Salvadoran restaurants I've visited. Sometimes I go and just want the cabbage and sauce. Perfection. And the folks who own this truck are so nice. Their whole menu is delicious! The papusas are just my personal favorite.“
