“This was my first time and NuVegan Cafe and it was a pleasant experience. Elijah was very sweet and professional and the food was amazing. I had the crab cakes, a chicken drummie, Mac and cheese and yams. There were a lot of photos of famous people that have supported the restaurant along the walls and that was really dope.“

“Yes, the pizza is good, but there’s more to say. I got the Maverick, which is basically meat lovers with pesto on top. The flavor was good, the crust nice and crisp, but the toppings fell off the pizza very easily. The service was nice and quick. The atmosphere includes a ramp up to the dining and ordering area. The inside is very green and black with a row of screens over the kitchen/ordering area. Overall, &pizza does have good pizza. However, if I’m being honest, Blaze Pizza is just down the street and has better pizza. ??‍♀️“

From the time I walked in the door and was greeted by the hostess, from the server, the sommelier, the food, ambiance- everything was perfect. The food was unique, and delicious. (even my non vegan friend loved it) however, the presentation and service is what put the cherry on top. Just a one of a kind dining experience that will be very hard to top.“

“In town visiting my daughter she made a reservation for us. Really cute decor. We arrived during happy hour had delicious potato skins, so flavorful. I enjoyed the jackfruit entree, big serving. Lots of unique choices with many gluten free options. I did not order a cocktail but they have a good variety. “Met friends here for lunch. With 6 of us, we had to be creative for seating. Indoors works for parties of 2, and outside are three tables for 4 people. Staff was super helpful making accommodations for an allergy in our group and personally delivering our food which provided confidence. I got a GF Breakfast Wrap, which was delicious and filling. Tasted the broccoli soup - love that the broccoli was whole - and sampled a muffin and energy ball. Everything was delicious. My friend got the burger, and was a little disappointed at the small size. But otherwise everyone was very happy. Nice outdoor seating area, tucked in the alley so it's a bit quieter. Bathroom was clean, and filtered water available at a self serve area. I'd be here all the time if I was a local! Really appreciate vegan food made from scratch that is healthy and not greasy.“

Chef Paul is amazing and he told me he doesn’t believe in catering or delivery because South Indian food is best served hot and fresh and I couldn’t agree more! The Idlis melted in my mouth. “Stayed at a hotel nearby and found the Hive Bar as we walked the neighborhood. We were looking for something fast and tasty and the pizza did not disappoint!! They were trying out a new menu (for the Super Bowl) so we snacked on popcorn chicken and tatters as well. Tatters are a favorite!!“The” Old Fashioned cocktail was amazing!! Our bartender was an expert and made this delicious drink delicious every time!The bar is accessible, with a bar and tables on the first floor, and an elevator to the rooftop bar. The pizza/food is delivered from &Pizza which is attached to the hotel.Street parking was easy on the weekend.“

Falafel tastes really good, and I really like how they package up their sandwiches. I do wish the pita was warmed (it seemed cold), but everything else was great. “I try to come here every weekend or every other weekend! The food is amazing, fresh and made with love. I always get the Caribbean Bowl, I replace the corn with extra arugula, and my heart melts each time. The jerk mushrooms does it for me ever. Single. Time. I love It here!“

“It's been so exciting to see an entirely plant-based concept be so successful and expanding so rapidly and now that I have visited I absolutely see why. This was one of the best meals I've had in a while. My friend and I had been dying to try their plant-based sushi and not only did it blow us away but the other dishes we tried were equally as incredible. Here's what we got for two people. We were quite full and took some leftovers: - ahi watermelon nigiri (2 pieces) x 2: If you didnt know this was made of watermelon you could absolutely mistake it for the real thing. The texture is mind blowing and the flavor is on point. Amazing way to start the meal (and end it because we ended up ordering another round to finish our meal) - unagi eggplant nigiri (2 pieces) x 2: So delicious. Definitely must order. The eggplant is super tender, just like eel. - spicy tuna roll: we ordered the hand roll but I think the server misheard so we ended up with the maki but it wasn't a big deal and i wasn't upset to get to try their take on maki rolls. I think their rice could use some work but this was still tasty! - Dan Dan noodles: incredible. Our server advised us to get the Dan Dan noodles over the Singapore noodles entirely because of the saucy-ness of this dish and he did not steer us wrong. These noodles are drowning in sauce (in the best way) Even though it's a peanut sauce it was perfectly balanced and creamy. The noodles themselves had a great chew and the use of kamut (a grain) in the dish as a substitute for the traditional ground pork was inspired. - bang bang broccoli: broccoli has never tasted this good. I mean it, not only is the broccoli is shockingly crispy while being perfectly cooked through the center, but the broccoli itself tasted so creamy and delicious unlike any broccoli I have had before. And the bang bang sauce is bangin too. All this being said, if you are trying to be choosy and try the most unique dishes, I would probably skip this dish in favor of more sushi. Overall, this was an incredible, unique, and innovative meal and I can't wait to go back to try more of the menu. This is how vegetables could and should taste, if only we put as much love into them as we do with meat. At least the chefs at Planta are listening.“

I attended an open mic night for poetry a while back and it was great! There are double front doors and no button to open them so it may be difficult for electric chairs and larger chairs. The back event space can be cramped but I was able to be seated comfortably. Though I could see if being tricky trying to leave for a bathroom break once folks pack in. There are stairs to access the stage so that would be a big barrier for open mic nights“

“I am a big fan of Busboys and Poets. Don't expect a high-end restaurant setting, but be amazed by the food and drinks.Their sandwiches are delicious, their Cubano is Top Notch! My husband got the Bao Buns and they were fine, but he wasn't in love. But, he's never had Bao Buns before so he didn't have a frame of reference. The place is in an odd spot to get to, though there is street parking. And then it's in this cooperative restaurant type space except it doesn't have a stall. There's a sign to knock on the kitchen door and then the person brings you the order. It wasn't really inconvient- I just wasn't sure I was in the right place multiple times.“

“Dodah's on Marlboro Pike, in District Heights, Maryland is finally open, y'all! If you want some good vegan food, you all better get your behinds over to Dodah's Kitchen. This teriyaki cauliflower and this sweet kale salad are delicious. I can't wait to go back to try the teriyaki chicken sandwich made from oyster mushrooms and the chickpea salad. They also have vegan fish, crab cakes, and a whole list of other deliciousness. The owner, Edwin, is a really nice guy and very accommodating. So Google their menu and head on over and get you some. I'd only been to the one in White Marsh, and it doesn't Cutting through the store headed to the elevator to the parking garage, we saw "this": the Naked Lunch And thought. Hmmm. Quick. Healthy. Non-bar. Why not? All vegetarian, vegan, lots of raw, veggies,and legumes, grains, and fruit and vegetable juices! Sooo glad we did! 2/4 of us frequent the establishment so we followed their lead I got the moolah bowl and a friend got a juice made of all kinds of fresh stuff. She said it was THE best fresh juices juice she'd ever had. Unfortunately they were out of both avocado and mushrooms, so I subbed brown rice and black beans. LOVED IT They roast the veggies, and just totally mix the greens and toppings n veggies altogether and dump it in a brown box! DELISH AND HUMONGOUS. I literally am on my 3rd meal of it, today! I'm gonna write to the moms in white marsh and ask why "we" don't have the ear in option? Staff: two VERY hard working folk going at it, being patient with us first timers and totally apologetic about the items they were out of (as though it were their fault). A short line started to form behind us and a lady appeared from the rear to help them out. “I ALWAYS choose this &pizza to get regular cheese pizza for my daughter who loves pizza so much, and vegan nots or a vegan cheese pizza for my 2 1/2 year old. This &pizza location is always welcoming and kind. They are all quick and great with service. I always receive satisfaction that leads me to leave a tip. My food outcome is on point most of the time if not it does get put on point. No problem. “I love the BBQ tofu. Its a nice sweet BBQ sauce with a little bit of a nutty flavor (not sure if there's actually nuts). The Mac and cheese is okay. Sometimes the cheese texture is similar to the texture of glue. I think I'm used to a different style of vegan Mac and cheese like Nu vegan or E life has. The people who work here are always nice and there's an interesting small plant based grocery connected to the restaurant that you can look around while waiting for your food.“

We settled on the Shrimp and Crab Fritters and Catfish for appetizers, which were good and we ordered two Shrimp and Grits entrees along with the Blackened Salmon! Best Shrimp & Grits of my life!
