We’ve tried lots of different Ethiopian restaurants here in the DMV area and this is by far our favorite. Prices are great for the delicious food. Try the mesir wot (my personal fave!).

I recently had the pleasure of dining at elfegne Ethiopian restaurant in d.c and it was a delightful experience. The cozy ambiance and friendly service set the stage for a memorable meal. The Ethiopian dishes were full of flavor and authenticity. I especially loved the injera and tibs – they were cooked to perfection. My partner and I had the best Ethiopian food of our lives here. We decided to give it a try after mourning the loss of Zenebech, and were delighted to be met with largely the same atmosphere and incredible food. The goden special tibs (with lamb) were actually some of the best things I’ve eaten in recent memory. It took a while to get the attention of our server again, but for us it’s more than worth it. :) Definitely coming back soon!
