“The famous piri piri chicken chain from South Africa! I was excited to find this place but disappointed yet again. As it goes, chicken restaurants are usually overhyped by people who don’t know how to cook and/or have inferior palate. We have witnessed this many times: Chick Fila, for example.The chicken dishes are not bad considering that it is a chain. But the piri piri sauces they serve are sub par. All flavors taste the same. They are not even as good as the sauce you can pick up from the streets in Lisbon. They need to step up the game and bring the real piri piri sauce and get rid of those bland, uninspired ones.“

We paid extra .50 cents for each lettuce on each butger and got only one burger had lettuce. I also asked for Rooster sauce and honey mustard but instead received 6 honey mustard sauces. “Known for their digestive system disruptive Code Blue chicken sandwiches, this review covers the flavors of the sauces and dishes instead of the self-torture. Is the chicken really tasty? No! The sandwiches? Yes! They use white meat chicken filets that are big, thick, and moistened with brine. The filets have a plain chicken flavor with a hint of salt water. Since the filet is big, this plain flavor makes up a good part of the flavor in their dishes. With that in mind, let's see where the flavors are coming from. They have 6 spice levels. The heat comes from chile powders, applied twice. First, it is added to their Love sauce, which the cooked chicken is dipped in. Then, the powder is dusted onto the sauce coated chicken. The ingredients listed are the ones that contribute to the heat. Many other ingredients make up the flavor profile of their Love sauce, such as salt, sugar, onion powder, spices, etc. 1) Classic has no heat. 2) Level 1 is paprika and mild cayenne. 3) Level 2 is jalapeño and hot cayenne. It's about 100,000 Scoville heat units (SHU). 4) Level 3 is habanero pepper and mitmita powder. It's about 300,000 SHU. Mitmita is an Ethiopian spice blend of bird's eye chile, salt, cardamom, cloves, and other seasonings. 5) Code Red has ghost pepper, mitmita, and berbere. It's about 1 million SHU. Berbere is an Ethiopian spice blend of fenugreek, ginger, and red chile pepper with warm spices. 6) Code Blue has Carolina reaper pepper, Trinidad scorpion pepper, ghost pepper, mitmita, and berbere. It's about 2 million SHU. Orders are placed on a kiosk. They have 2 kiosks located in front of the wall menu. The wall menu doesn't list everything that they have. Their sauce descriptions were useless, so I wrote descriptions down below for the 4 sauces that we got. We bought 3 dishes. 1) Sando sandwich Breaded chicken breast filet, ciderslaw, butter pickles, and comeback sauce in a potato bun with 2 choices of sauce. We got this at Level 1. It wasn't hot. The sandwich was large (5.5 inches in diameter). The chicken was moist and tender with a typical white meat flavor and a hint of brine. The thin, crispy coating was well-seasoned with a touch of spiciness. The bun was soft and moist with a typical flavor. The ciderslaw had cabbage, red onions, vinegar, salt, sugar, and seasonings. It works in the sandwich, but I wouldn't buy it as a side. The slaw has juices that drip out, so make sure to cover the bottom. The breading, slaw, and comeback sauce give this sandwich flavor. We poured sauce on EACH bite to overcome the bland chicken. The chicken itself needs a marinade. The owner used to claim that the chicken filets were marinated in buttermilk, shio koji, spices, salts, mirin, and saké. That's not happening now! That's a pity. It must have been great. 2) Michael sandwich It had breaded chicken filet, mushrooms, monteray jack, cheddar, mozzarella, and slices of red and green chile peppers in a potato bun with 2 choices of sauce. We got this at Classic level. This was the same size as the Sando. The chicken and breading were the same as above. The chiles were not very hot. This was tastier than their Sando because the cheeses added more flavor and savoriness. It still needed sauce. I prefer this over the Sando. 3) Burrito Grilled chicken, egg, cheese, and rice in a flour tortilla with 2 choices of sauce. We got this at level 2. It wasn't very hot because there wasn't enough chile powder in it. Only the meat had some. The chicken was breast meat that was moist, tender, and seasoned. The egg was cooked over-medium. The melted cheese tasted like a blend. The rice was lightly seasoned. We added Somi sauce, which was flavorful and complementary. Overall, the blend of flavors was satisfying. Here are the 4 sauces that we tried. They were in condiment cups with lids. It costs extra for more than 2 per entree. 1) Comeback sauce It had mayo, ketchup, and sweet relish. It was thick and heavy on mayo flavor. 2) Mumbo sauce It was very sweet, peppery, and slightly tangy with fla“

Just a mess of a sammich....BUT SOOOO FRIKKIN GOOD!!! Their fried chicken is good, so are the mashed potatoes. I wouldn't stray away from those options, but have heard good things about the pork chops.The very best thing about this place is THE PEOPLE WHO WORK THERE!!! I liked the spicy kick of the Nashville sandwich that I may attempt the next spicy level. The mild honey butter sandwich is great for people who cannot handle spicy food. The rooster sauce is a free add-on on the side that was good as well. Tip: it may be a little messy so grab napkins.Tables: there are plentiful tables that were clean. The facility workers come around to tidy up the area, but don’t forget to clean up after yourself as well.Restrooms: clean public restroom with water fountains located right outside.Wheelchair accessibility: Push open doors that actually work. Spacious between the food stalls and tables. Accessible bathroom stall (1) with low sink counters.“

“This is hands-down, the best Silvestre location in my opinion. I always call and order my food and it's always ready for pick up when I go. The service is phenomenal and so is the food. My go to order is a steak taco bowl. The steak is always very tender and well seasoned. The taco bowl is always overflowing and the amount of steak that you get for the price is amazing. Both the green and orange sauces, put all of the dishes over the top. I've also had their pupusa and tamales. I love a good pupusa and the curdito that comes with it is so fresh. “The family and I have been to Slim Chickens a number of times. The staff is extremely courthouse and friendly. We even had the manager come by our table once just to check on us to make sure everything was ok. The inside of the restaurant is very nice with lots of seating. They have a pretty extensive menu and my wife and I love their Slim's Salad. Our girls (8 and 11) who normally get chicken tenders have come across one of two over breaded and/or soggy pieces on our initial visits but have not had any issues since. They have a very wide variety of sauces for their sandwiches/tenders plus a number of menu items that you might find at Chick-fil-a. Overall if you were looking for a little variety, I would recommend checking them out.“

I got the following: The new Crispy Chicken Sandwich with Bacon and Cheese, Side of Jollibee Spaghetti, Yumburger With Cheese, Ube Pie Dessert Their chicken sandwiches are always a great way of taking the flavor from the Chickenjoy and putting it in a sandwich. Nice juicy and tender breast of chicken, nicely fried with their crispy exterior and savory seasonings, plus the addition of mayo and their amazing bun, it's delicious! Plus the addition of bacon and cheese in this item can only help make it better. The Yumburger with Cheese is a guilty pleasure of mine, I always love the flavors of the sauce and the softness of the bun + meat patty. Their meat patty isn't like other traditional fast food burgers, it's prepared in a different way and the meat is more tender and condensed, giving it a different texture. I just wish the solo Yumburger wasn't so pricey for how small of a sandwich it is. Lastly, the Ube Pie Dessert, as with all of their pies, was fantastic. Deliciously sweet ube filling, nice crispy and flakey pie crust, it's a great combination. Overall I love the flavors of Jollibee every time I come here, the prices are a bit on the higher side, but as it's a chain there isn't much that could be done about that. Service is friendly and efficient with the long lunch rushes, and the restaurant ambiance is always cute and appealing with their Jollibee mascot statues and posters around the establishment!“
