Decided to give Edgewater another go. Been dining here for 60 years. Was my family and extended families go to place for "MARYLAND" Jumbo lump crabcakes up until about 10 years ago. Recipies the same but even when one orders the MARYLAND cakes vs the regular crabcake I'm not convinced there's much if any MD crabmeat anymore. Sure isn't Jumbo lump either. Debbie and her hardworking family made us feel like cherished family who haven’t been home for a while. The crab cakes were the best our whole table has ever had! I had the fried oysters… which were lightly breaded and delicious. Service was wonderful and we had an unrushed catch up with dear friends from Annapolis.

Given this was our first experience here, it was quite wonderful!At first we didn't know where to check in to begin dinner but that was situated quite quicky. Employees are attentive even with how busy the restaurant was and the food? I'm still dreaming of it today. Their crab cakes are truly the best crab cakes I've had in any restaurant in Maryland!All the food was on par, the pricing is decent, everything was timely, and I can't wait to come back!
