“I took the wife to The Local Restaurant for our date night dinner. This was our first time here. Surprisingly, parking was somewhat limited for a surburban location. Fortunately, they offer valet parking service. Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by the hostess and immediately taken to our table. No sooner, our server came and gave us a run down of the night's specials as well as some of the menu items. The staff brought out the free corn bread. I loved it, thought it was the best ever. Wife thought it was too sweet. We ordered the French Dip Bao Buns for appetizer. It consisted of shredded steak in a pita covered with a horseradish sauce. It had good flavor. Didn't need the au jus. For the entree, I had the Steak Frites. The steak being a prime rib cut was tender and juicy with a nice sear on the outside. We both enjoyed the generous portion of tasty truffle parmesan frites that came with the steak. My wife had the Duck Confit with Crab Fried Rice. It came with 2 giant duck legs. The duck meat was tender but the miso glaze was a little too salty for our pallets. The crab fried rice lacked flavor. Crab meat tasted fresh and not fishy tasting. I think I enjoyed the meal more than the wife. We both agreed that the portion sizes were very generous. You definitely will not leave here hungry. We also agreed that the service here is excellent.“

“Food was very good, including a Bavarian pretzel. The cheese dip with the pretzel was surprisingly good! Usually it's bland but this was tasty. The pierogies were awesome and two from our table ordered the chicken and waffles, which looked amazing. Nice beer selection. “We ate here about a week ago on a Friday night. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. The waitress was attentive in the beginning, and then, just sort of left us hanging.Rather than asking if we needed anything after we got our entrees (or if we wanted Parmesan cheese on our pasta), she just whizzed by & made a statement to the effect of 'Everything's great, right?' We ordered dessert and waited an extremely long time for it to come with no explanation. She did not seem at all trained on how to provide good customer service. The food was delicious. And, I would love to give them five stars. Unfortunately, I can't do that given that the service was so bad.“

“Our visit to Basta Pasta was admittedly one of pure joy! With a Family friendly atmosphere, we felt welcome and right at home. Their portions are more than plenty for one sitting, which is a welcome surprise. The management is superb. The staff you can tell enjoy their customers. It was truly a delightful experience, we will definitely be coming back.“

“I was in town visiting family and they have come here before! We got right in because it was mid week and we were there at 5:30 for 2hrs. And the place fill up quickly. We had a huge corner both that 5 us were comfortable and cozy. Waiter was timley and pleasant?Atmosphere was just right for for occasion. “I cannot say enough about this place. From the staff, the food and drink, the atmosphere, and the events/specials, Uncle's knocks it out of the park. We've made so many friends here, and go at least once a week. I had my bachelor party dinner at Uncle's and they hosted my mom's surprise 60th birthday for 35 people in their banquet room. The tiki bar is incredible, and you cant beat the happy hour appetizer specials. My wife and I love going on Tuesdays, because it's right next to Horizon Cinemas, and the movies are half off. Amazing date night, and if you're a sports fan it's a great place to watch the game. They just launched a new menu and it's their best work yet. “Our family loves Mr Y’s! We actually own a carryout sandwich business down the street from them and don’t always want to eat our own food! We enjoy ordering their pizzas for our employee parties and late nights. When we want good pizza & calzones this is our go too! Also love the cheesesteak fries!“

“Tray and Kiera and another young man was working the night I went. They all were very friendly. I really appreciated their customer service . Kiera was very thorough cleaning and wiping the tables. The floor and counter were clean upon arrival. Tray made sure the waffle machine was clean before and after . And everybody wore gloves. They were so professional The over hour drive was well worth it.“
