“Don’t let the generic name/lack of curb prevent you from giving this place a try!Seen this place all the time when stopping at 7-Eleven next door but didn’t give it any mind until recently when I wanted some Chinese takeout. So so glad I ended up trying it because the food was legit amazing - which is great because the area historically has not had great Chinese options.Got the hunan & orange chicken along with hot & sour soup - couldn’t tell you a single bad thing about any. Main entree + lo mein + soup + egg roll for under $15 is amazing value for the portion size. This has 100% become our household’s go to.“
“Went for a birthday celebration dinner on a weekday evening. The place features a large selection of vegetarian dishes, but mostly not the "usual" lentils and cauliflower. We ordered the large sampler dish, to get familiar with a variety of dishes. It came with 7 different samples, all of them very tasty, flavorful and unique. Highly recommended. I especially note the rice cooked in coconut milk and cumin, and a superb dark daal soup - thick and spiced to perfection. Very helpful and attentive service and a calm ambience and décor. It was a wonderful evening.“
“As a newcomer to the area from New Jersey, stumbling upon this Thai restaurant was an absolute delight. From the moment I stepped in, I was transported back to the flavors and aromas of home. The authenticity of the dishes served here is remarkable, reminiscent of the vibrant Thai cuisine I've grown to love. Each bite was a culinary journey, bursting with rich spices and fresh ingredients. The ambiance of the restaurant further enhanced the dining experience, with its warm and inviting atmosphere. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this gem of a restaurant is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Thai cuisine. Thank you for always knowing which wine I like:)“
“We happened to come across Yu Zhou after a trip to Sam's. This is clearly a family owned restaurant. On our visit I noticed the owner giving the staff iced teas from a local boba spot. Major kudos, more restaurants could learn from his leadership. Take care of your people and they'll take care of your customers. Staff was awesome and attentive, it's really an all hands on deck operation! Now the food.... Generous portions, American and authentic Chinese options and something for most everyone to enjoy. All in all a fantastic option for when you crave Chinese food!“
“So this is a tiny place and honestly the BEST Chinese restaurant around. I LOVE everything here. The owner is lovely, the food is delicious. 5 stars for service, food and coziness. I once called them for delivery and I was out of their delivery area ( I am over 20 minutes away) and they made arrangements to deliver to me anyway as I called at a slower time. Now that is CUSTOMER SERVICE! Today I ordered the rice noodle soup with chicken. The bowl was HUGE, veggies were fresh, chicken tender ....it did not disappoint!“
“Ordered on DoorDash and the food was really good. Usually Chinese food is dissapointing in the area but the fried dumplings were flavorful and crisp. The fried rice was good and the Szechuan beef is delish. Also the hot and sour soup was really good.“
“Was highly recommended to try Lanzhou by a friend of mine and it was fantastic. On a cold day, a good savory bowl of noodle soup will always hit the spot. The Food: I went with the "Beef Brisket Noodle Soup". The beef was super tender and flavorful and the noodles were made/cooked to perfection. You can see them actually hand pull your noodles in the open kitchen they have. The broth was very tasteful as well, full of beef broth flavor and the portions for each bowl was pretty huge. The Service: Service was good! Staff were friendly and welcoming. You can order either online or they have two kiosks where you can browse the menu and order from. Then they'll bring your dishes out to your table. The Atmosphere: Nice and decently sized restaurant. Place is well lit and clean. With an open kitchen, you can smell how good it is in there with all the food being prepared.Overall, a 5/5! Food is absolutely delicious! Highly recommend Lanzhou Hand Pull Noodle.“
“Very welcoming atmosphere. Great quality food for such a low price. 10/10 would come here again.Vegetarian options: You can choose your chicken to be made with vegan chickenParking: Plenty of parking spotsKid-friendliness: There are High chairs for little kids“
“We came twice, one dining in, one take-out. We tried the specials (not on English menu): 什锦炒河粉three meat fried with veggies and wide rice noodles; 盐酥鸡便当fried popcorn chicken bento; 夜市炒花枝night market squid soup; 三文鱼炒饭salmon fried rice. The most recommended dish is the fried wide rice noodle, very good portion, good amount of protein and veggies. My second favorite goes to squid soup, comfort food, squid is fresh, good nutrition balance! It's good to have a restaurant offers family style food nearby.“
“Perfect Sunday Dim Sum brunch. They seat before 11am, and we’re filled by 11:30. This place is always a winner for my family. The chrysanthemum tea is a delight as well. There are so many people working, you’re quickly taken care of.Not pictured but equally delicious were the baked pork buns, sticky rice, honey walnut shrimp, shrimp cheung fun, crispy taro, pan fried noodles, garlic Choy sum, eggplant with shrimp.“
“*** GREAT FOOD *** Stopped by to eat real fast, was pleasantly very surprised. Delicious crunchy general tso's and Singapore rice noodles. Brought our food out quickly and a nice presentation ? ?Kid-friendliness: Family atmosphere , the staff were very welcoming.Parking: Easy to find parking“
“pretty good dim sum place, went around 1 p.m. on a Monday. The place was quite empty, there was only my family and three other groups there. Since it was quite late there weren’t many dim sum choices left so if you want a variety of dim sum, go before noon. The shrimp dim sum dumpling was my favorite since it had actual shrimp in there and it tasted amazing. The roasted duck wasn’t bad but it was a bit too oily for me, feel like they should’ve roasted longer so the oil would be more dried up. Overall, the food was pretty good and the service was amazing, our teapot was never empty.“
“Think you can handle some spice? Want to eat something healthy? Haven’t needed to use Google Translate in the US before (mostly kidding, the server understood us just fine.)Bring at least 2 hungry friends and drive all the way out to Gaithersburg! We drove 20’ here from the hotel but for all the amazing Asian food we can eat in LA, they we don’t have this delicious fish soup. It is rare and special to experience totally new cuisine.Looks like we’d have to go to fly to Sichuan, Dallas, or Flushing to eat this elsewhere.Plentiful, free parking in the public lot. Small restaurant. No reservations.Their fresh watermelon juice perfectly complements the delicious, slightly sour, spicy fish soup/stew (they have regular & numbing…can only imagine how spicy “numbing” is…almost ordered it but worried that I might regret it in the morning…apologies that’s TMI.)ORDER their delicious milk mochi dessert.Cannot wait to eat here again next time we’re in DC/MD.Cheers & Happy Eating!DocMikeChiro“
