“The crispy pork belly and Sisig are a must try for first timers! Try the famous Filipino Lumpia too and you won't be disappointed. Food was excellent. Hopefully they can improve on their serving portion and pricing to entice more non-Filipinos to come in and try their dishes.“
“Very authentic, homemade taste. Aside from the namesake, also try the lecheflan. It's easily the best in the region. Unfortunately its popularity means seating is quite limited.Update: it's getting quite pricey and the menu has shrunk. My favorite dish there, crispy pasta, is no longer available, among other items.“
“Great selection of Filipino baked goods, and an Ube and Pandan-lover’s dream. The donut was fresh, with a nice crust. The cream was smooth and light, though the pandan flavour was quite subtle.I loved the Baked Siaopao, a slightly flaky bread filled with pulled pork and egg.I bought the Ube Pan de Sal as well, and am so excited to try it!“
“Went in today to have some breakfast and ordered the Tapsilog (tapa/garlic fried rice/egg), I also got a Turon (plantain/jackfruit wrapped in an egg roll wrapper and fried with brown sugar) with Ginger tea. The food came out at a reasonable time. The tapa is cooked the way I like it, on the dry side. It wasn't too salty or sweet and the seasoned vinegar gave it an extra layer of flavor. The garlic fried rice wasn't too oily. The turon has this amazing crunch even if it was room temp! Filo cafe also has other sweets that they have for sale and other specials. I will have to come back to try the other items on the menu.“
“The take away: I would definitely come back here. The thorough review: A Filipino restaurant with a limited but respectable selection of main courses. After ordering two of the classics for dine in (i.e., bistek and chicken adobo), the cashier asked me just to pay after my dinner—I wasn’t sure if that was the norm or perhaps, she was simply busy helping another customer with another issue. I enjoyed the meal—no complaints. And apparently, they sell bulalo which I may have to try the next time I’m in the area. There is no shortage of parking outside which is a major plus.On the groceries front, I found the prices to be reasonable vs some places in MD that criminally overcharges.Overall, it was a pleasant eating and grocery shopping experience.“
“In the area for a short while, stumbled across this small establishment and I'm glad I did. We asked to try the Ube Soft Serve, wasn't for me but awesome to have e tried something new.Recently back from Hawaii so I've been on a search for Lumpia just as good. These were right on par. Super flavorful, perfectly fried. Thai chili also served as a dipping sauce.“
