I ordered through Uber Eats and got 1 of the 3 things I ordered. They replaced 2 of my items with other things that I did not enjoy. The oxtails I wanted and received tasted old. I ordered an appetizer but instead received a big, dry half chicken that was cold in the center and not tender. Some of the black beans in the rice were not fully cooked. I spent $55 on what should have been large oxtail, rum cake slice, & a plantain appetizer stuffed with meat. I will not order again.

Food was terrible. I order to go and they really gave me nothing… I order a large oxtail and it was little tiny pieces of oxtail. On top of that it wasn't all oxtail some of it was other parts of beef.

Great lunch specials ($10) hard to find these days to include a beverage as well ( bottle of water ). who cares it’s a deal from every angle. Kinda out the way for us Virginians but well worth the travel. The flavors are true to the Caribbean as what I know of Tropicana. The food portion was on point as well. The service is rated low cause I think it’s a solo dolo operator so it was a bit of a what for the food. However, again it was worth the wait!!! Get you some if in the area and you like authentic Caribbean food! Spices on point. Oh and they got security on lock

Everything is not seasoned to perfection and mostly bland to the taste. Then the food goes through a special process of microwaved cooking- then served as if it were fresh....and just wait until you get a load of the beef patties. The woman who cooks there doesn't mind burning your patties to a crisp before hiding them in a packaged "to go tray"plate to serve and go. Good job Tropicana for losing me as a patron.

This was a NYE order. I just wanted some good food to bring in the new year. Third time was NOT the charm. This food was utterly disgusting. I ordered via Uber Eats. The oxtail was just okayish. The rice and peas were flavorless and unseasoned. Thee chicken patty— let’s get into it. I bit it and something tasted horrid. I spit it out immediately. I decided to break the patty in half to see what was inside because the texture was also off. Y’all, I pulled the patty apart and it was SLIMEY, yes, SLIMEY. The inside had white specks. After I gagged from the vision and the smell, I took a picture. I will never patron this establishment again. I am still disgusted. They served flavorless, plain, inauthentic, old/outdated food.

This was the worst Jamaican food I ever had. It cost me $40 to get it DoorDash to me. I asked for a orange soda they sent me orange juice. There was no cabbage in my container. The food left the bad smell in my house. the brown stew chicken just tasted like water, like it was just boiled chicken. I couldn't even eat it. I want my money back.

Ordered jerk chicken with white rice. They gave me the wrong rice but that was besides the point after looking at the chicken. There was enough seasoning on there to season every bite of chicken I've eaten in my entire life! Inedible! Can't and won't do it again. Please, look for another dive to be order disappointing Jamaican food from. Horrid.

Tropicana grills & Restaurant gives you a home away from home experience with the food and environment. Cliche but true!!.They are my family go to for rightly seasoned Africa dishes.I will recommend Egusi soup with pounded yam.
