Two take out for lunch (jerk chicken) today. The chicken tasted old and was not fresh. It was hard and seemed like it was left over from the day before. The plantains were also hard and not fresh. The rice was okay, but no flavor. The cabbage was fresh and tasty, but you only got a mouth full. I usually don't write reviews, but when you spend close to $40.00 for two take-out lunch meals you expect you food is going to be fresh. This was definitely not the case. This was my first time going to this restaurant and my last. It was not worth the money.

My sister and I went tonight to try the location on Main Street in laurel MD. We got the curry goat, with rice and peas, veggies and plantain. As well as the oxtail, with rice and peas, veggies and plantain. The portion amount was pretty nice over all. Both bowls were $21 each but it was absolutely amazing! The service was very welcoming as well! I will definitely be back for more !

I use to love coming to this spot, especially when my parents are visiting from the Caribbean, but the prices sky rocketed while the portions are less. Got a patte today, wasn’t even what I asked for and half of it was just dough…please think about quality if you’re going to increase your prices. If I’m going to pay near $5 for a patte, it should be the one I paid for and loaded with meat.

Disappointing change in flavor! I used to adore Caribe Express at their Laurel location, but the shift to their new Jessup spot seems to have altered the taste and quality of their food. Sadly, the flavors I once loved are no longer consistent. However, amidst this change, I must commend their beef patties; they've remained consistently fresh, hot, and delicious. It's disheartening that the overall food experience isn't as enjoyable anymore. I loved their oxtails but it’s just not as flavorful anymore and this place is quite expensive.

My first time going. I got the jerk chicken. (2 platters)Didn't really like the sauce. Kind of on the sweet side. I like my jerk chicken to be "Jerking"The portions for the chicken and cabbage could be more for the price your paying. Also I never had someone tell me I couldn't get jerk sauce on my food if it wasn't jerk chicken. Glad I didn't get it. The sauce is not it! I had much better food and nicer portions! I'll stick to what I know! You will not get full. Skimpy with the servings!

This place is expensive for literally no reason. There’s cheaper caribbean restaurants that give you a lot of food. I rarely leave reviews but my delivery order was terrible. $18 jerk platter gives you 3 little hard pieces of chicken. Not worth the money AT ALL. Barely any rice, like I ordered a kids meal. Food is average. Wouldn’t order again.

Finally a Jerk Chicken location in the area! Well, don't get too excited because I am about to smash your hopes for this location. I actually visited this spot on two different occassions. The first visit included a Curried Goat selection that was pretty much on par with other venues that I have come across throughout the DMV. The next visit was to try their Jerk Chicken AND Brown Stew Chicken. As you can see from the pictures these had to have been the smallest chickens in the coop and a small came with these three NOT EVEN whole pieces except the leg and a wing. The other piece was the most bone part of I think was the breast with hardly any meat on it. I asked for a little extra gravy on the rice, but was denied that. As you can see the whole meal was pretty dry and unfullfilling. I was told that a Large comes with one more piece of chicken for both meals. Needless to say, I will be looking for another spot to fulfill my Jerk and Stewed Brown Chicken liking.

The girl at the counter was great. The food quality was poor. Chicken wasn’t cooked fully. Hell it wasn’t really cooked at all.

Whenever I go to the post office, the absolute best spicy smell is coming from the place next door. Being vegetarian, I ordered the rice and peas as a side. The rice was lovely, big tender pearls of rice, and the peas were perfectly cooked. I also ordered the chana/chickpea appetizer. They are cooked in a delicious savory sauce full of onion and garlic. At work, I put both in a bowl together and enjoyed every bite as my cheeks glowed from the heat of the spices. As a side, I ordered a couple of slices of bread fruit. They were delightfully crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside. I see a lot of reviews complaining about price and it is true that it is not inexpensive, but you're getting real home cooked food. You can taste the difference.

This was my first time going to this place. The lady behind the counter was nice. I wanted oxtail and was hesitant because of my past experience with other restaurants. I must say the oxtail was delicious ! Well seasoned and tender, and the lady was generous with the portions. I gave 3 stars for the price. They sell oxtails at market price. I'm wondering which market they use to decide on the price. Anyway, it's too pricey for me but a pleasant treat. I ordered 2 oxtail dinners and wanted to add curry goat in one of the plates. Ir cost $60. I won't be ordering that again, but I will go back to try other dishes.

Like be for real. My first experience was the same, but i just chalked it up as a bad day & gave them another opportunity. I don’t feel like there is much to say. Just look at the photo & for the price it’s UNETHICAL.
