“Barrel 9 has all the right stuff. Great atmosphere, wonderful staff, the most delicious nosh, and an amazing selection of bourbons and wine. I solely came for the bourbons to sample some of the harder allocation bottles and fell in love with the food and staff. This little gem is what the SOMD area needs more of. I highly recommend 5/5 stars!!!!”

“Even though the weather was cloudy and rainy on this late September day, our group received a warm welcome and we were served professionally and with a smile. The food is personally cooked by the owner, who also came out to greet us. The entire meal was delicious, but the conch chowder was one of the best I've ever had and a perfect choice on a rainy afternoon overlooking a lovely harbor. I highly recommend this hidden gem!”

“This review is specifically to address the review that complained of the cigarette smoke smell.
That comes directly from the cigar bar a few stores down. Not the fault of China King people. They have reached out to property owner and the cigar store to no avail.
I’ve been coming for years, and it never smelled of smoke until the cigar store came to town.
The food is excellent and the people are great!”

From the ambience, to Jessica our amazing bartender, to the well crafted menu. It was a beautiful time. We all can’t wait to stop in again. “Where do I even begin? The night before our wedding Sunny personally met us at the door with Manhattans, IPAs and cups of bacon. He and his staff made our incredibly culturally diverse family feel at home. When I needed a place to hold a cancer fundraiser for my dearest friend on the planet, Sunny not only allowed us to use his place without changing us, he allowed us to provide and auction off food and donated 10% of the bar receipts. Not the profits, the receipts. If there is a kinder, more generous business owner in St. Mary’s County I’d love to meet them. We no longer live in the county but every time we visit, we are greeted with a warm sincere hug from a good human we are proud to call friend.”

“One of my top Mexican restaurants I've been to. Everything was very well portioned. Everything was delicious. The birria pizza was a hit. Birria is my go to and their birria pizza hits the mark. Our server was attentive and available which is always nice. The whole family enjoyed it, well definitely be back.”

“Ive been coming to this food truck for years now. The customer service is amazing! The owner is so dedicated, always in such a great mood all around great person! I always get the whiteing basket and shrimp. However the crab soup is to die for! Everything is always made fresh to order. Nothing is ever sitting around. I would like to add that the serving you get for the price you pay is almost unrealistic. Soooo much food! If you haven’t tried them out yet you are 100000% missing out!”
