Overall, food was okay. It was very pricey; $14 for Taco Salad; $12 for a bowl of Chili.

Went there this morning for brunch. Everything was terrific, I especially loved the German chocolate latte and deluxe grilled cheese w/ tomato soup ! Martin was our server and he was extremely attentive and so kind! Can’t wait to go back when we’re in Mt. Airy again

Excellent breakfast experience on a Sunday morning. Very attentive server, quaint atmosphere and sophisticated entree choices. The warm cinnamon rolls were very tasty indeed. Great place to take my out-of-town visitors!

This local gem is amazing! The food is out of this world and the staff is extremely friendly, helpful and kind. Every meal I've ever had here has been so good, I can't wait to go back and try the new items they add frequently!

We went last week and enjoyed an amazing brunch. Today we came for happy hour and we're terribly disappointed. We were told we could not sit outside because there was no wait staff were outside. We asked for direction on what wine and beer to order and our waiter said he knew nothing about wine and none of the beers were available. The energy was very disappointing and our waiter was rude. We ordered 2 lbs of wings and were not asked if we wanted blue cheese. We were served ranch- once asked for blue cheese we were charged extra. When we questioned the waiter he said- you got 4 sauces so you were charged. We were terribly disappointed. Luckily a new waiter arrived and was making espresso martini's for another table- that was a highlight. We made sure to tell him he was the highlight of the visit. We did leave the waiter a 20percent tip but his rudeness made sure we will never visit again. We are just terribly disappointed.

My wife and I, with our kids wanted to try a new breakfast place. Anytime we drove to Mt.Airy we would always pass Nook Cafe. We were curious to try it and today was the day to give it a shot. Upon entering the place is was really nice and clean. The staff right from the start were very friendly. We sat down and ordered our food. It was closer to afternoon than morning so our kids got cheeseburgers with a side of fruit and my wife and I got some breakfast. We also got a couple of cafe special lattes. The meals were amazing! Very delicious and just enough to fill you up. Our kids cleaned their plates and very content. The lattes were just as good if not better. Your latte is served in a nice decent sized mug. After breakfast it was nice to sip on the latte and relax. I strongly recommend the Nook Cafe for Breakfast/Brunch. We look forward to trying lunch/dinner here soon.

What a cute place! Finally get to try it. The food was excellent. I also got Caesar salad not in the picture. It was so good. The tots were to die for. It just melts in your mouth. The staff was very friendly and top-notch customer service.

Lovely dinner. We ate outside, in front of the fireplace. The service was excellent and friendly. We had a Reuben and Club sandwiches. They were both fresh, hot, and delicious

The pot roast is out of this world. The chicken is also fantastic.. onion rings are amazing and the dark and stormy needs to cap off the meal.

I love the atmosphere and the service. The coffee is AMAZING. The food (at least for breakfast) was slightly under seasoned. The portion size was fine especially since they give you a free pair of cinnamon rolls. Overall this place was good, I plan on going again. I'd say the coffee alone is worth the stop.

This location is a rebranded restaurant which used to be quite good. In any case, with the sale to new owners naturally comes change. We stopped by to try it but were a bit hesitant noticing that on a Friday night at prime time there were two tables occupied inside and two on their new outside patio not a good sign to me. That said we opted to feel it out and grab two cocktails (old fashioned' s) which were not the best. We watched some of the food that the other two tables outside ordered and it looked average at best. One of the tables was picking stuff off of whatever sandwich they had ordered. It appears that they are trying to go for something between a sporty lounge and perhaps brunch/easy dinner concept?? It is rather confusing trying to figure it out and all while the outside area appears to still be in a phase of construction. I like the addition of the outside patio they put in but the noise from the busy road is a big negative. I will possibly return when they are more composed and have time to train staff properly to be able to intelligently tell you about their drink and food options.

Went to this place on a Sunday and they had up a sign stating they were closed till Wednesday. No note to their website or Google hours. Highly disappointed and a waste of gas.

Just home from brunch/lunch at Nook and I'm impressed. Service was attentive and on point. Lattes were delicious and the pot roast hash was excellent. I didn't realize that this had been another restaurant previously and hope this sticks around as it is lovely for any meal and perfect for friends to gather or even a date. Patio was lovely on a slightly less hot August day. My friend and I chatted for nearly three hours and never felt rushed or ignored. Thank you Martin for a great afternoon.

Saw a post about this restaurant on Mt Airy fb group. Took my dad for lunch. We both had the pulled pork sammie with onion rings and split a slice of cheesecake with blueberry sauce. Food was delicious and service was friendly. I recommend this restaurant. Beautiful local artists artwork featured throughout the airy and open old schoolhouse turned into a restaurant. Will eat there again.

We believe it has a new owner but not sure, impression we got from our waiter. It was our first time there last Friday and we will definitely make the trip back. Food was fresh and some of the best dishes we've had in a long time. I had the roast beef hash and my wife had the Chiliqillies, the best she's had since we left TX 3 years ago.
