Service was very good considering the circumstances. Apparently, the day of our visit, a staff member quit & left the store. Our server, Daniel was quite overwhelmed. He handled the situation, and himself quite well. Our large party of 12 was well attended. Drinks refilled, plates cleared quickly. Our order has items missing but they were replaced quickly w/ apologies & a great attitude. Very well done. Very professional

The waitress was super sweet but the service overall was very slow. We waited almost 30 minutes after we ordered to get our food. The waitress was taking cate of several tables and was very busy the whole time we were there so I don't blame her. It was a fundraiser night and I understand everyone is short staffed but for service to be that slow was a bit much. Then when the food came out it was barely warm. Just overall not a great experience and it seems to be going a little further down hill each time we go. A manager did try to rectify the issues so that was a plus. I think they are trying but there is just not enough staff.

The salmon dinner was the best I've ever had, a full 6 ounces, grilled to perfection, completely skinless, and no fishy taste, whatsoever. It came with a generous slice of buttered, toasted, freshly baked bread, and a choice of 2 sides. Currently $15.99. All other fish and shrimp entrees are fried.

Unfortunately, as me and my 9year old daughter walked in, a young waiter who said his name was Issac, put two fingers up to his head in the motion to shoot himself. I asked the hostess what his problem was. The young girl said I’m not sure but that was definitely inappropriate. I said it was very inappropriate considering he’s laughing and my daughter saw him do that. She says don’t worry, I’ll seat you in another section. Perfect. So we get seated. That same young man came up laughing to the table saying hi I’m Isaac and I’m your server. I said, I feel uncomfortable and was told I would have a different server. He started uncontrollably laughing, and took his finger a crossed his throat as he walked away. How uncomfortable for my daughter to see. He retreated to the kitchen area, maybe something would have been done to our food? How could we be sure? I told the manager what happened. He said he’d have a talk with him. We aren’t from around here and felt down right unsafe to even be in that establishment. With the world today, he’s a problem to think that his actions were funny or okay! Will never recommend anyone to try this location.

It’s an IHOP, so you don’t really expect much, but this was possibly the rudest and worst service ever. Never coming back. Slammed our drinks on the table and said “what do you want” then wouldn’t make eye contact. Super rude to us while taking our order, but then proceeded to mess it up. Forgot my bacon and told my dad that they didn’t have the protein pancakes he wanted and brought regular pancakes with my food rather than asking if he wanted something else. Empty restaurant too. If you’re gonna be rude at least be efficient, or if you’re gonna be inept at least be polite.

Savannah was awesome! Friendly with a smile. And she stayed and chatted a bit since we showed an interest to. Not only that, she checked back soon after the food was delivered to make sure everything was good. Soon after she did, the person that helped deliver the food also stopped by and checked that all was good.The food was delicious as well. I got the Pot Roast dinner with a side salad and french fries. Mmmmm. My wife got the Chicken Fajita Omelette with pancakes, and of course, her favorite special flavored syrup (that you can only get at IHOP), and our son got the Build Your Own French Toast Omelette & Hash Browns. All of us were well fed and went home quite satisfied.Time after time we've had similar experiences, it's obvious from the consistency, that the owner really cares and wants his/her guests to have a great dining experience. Good leadership always comes from the top.Well Done! Keep up the good work Mt Airy IHOP team.
