“I came to Caruso’s after hearing so much about it with a couple of my friends and we were not disappointed! The food was great and they were accommodating of dietary restrictions which was nice.The burrata was absolutely delicious and definitely a menu highlight. The gnocchi a la genovese and the penne alla vodka were great dishes overall. Our drinks were pretty good as well and the tiramisu was decent. Ordered espresso at the end and had to ask a couple of times for it because it seemed as though they were a little understaffed. Coffee was delicious though.“

With a party of seven, we tried different entree's and everyone was impressed with the quality and portions size. The waiter was helpful with menu suggestions. We felt right at home 10/10, definitely coming back !“

“based on reviews and dc reputation i had high expectations and unfortunately was underwhelmed overall especially by their speciality, mezzi rigatoni. no one at the table liked the whipped ricotta crostini, the bread to cheese ratio is out of balance, way too much cheese and too little bread.now for the good. we enjoyed the squid ink linguini. the mafalde is excellent, definitely recommend. while food overall was not bad, i don’t think we will return. however, i am not recommending against others trying this restaurant, just not for us.“

“Another wonderful meal at a truly lovely restaurant. The staff is very cordial and helpful and the food is tasty and well-presented. I had the salmon trio (smoked salmon, salmon tartar, and salmon roe) for an appetizer and sea bass for my entree. My husband had the wonderful onion soup for an appetizer and the crab cake, scallops, and shrimp for his entree. He was able to get the dish minus scallops as he is allergic to them!! Sample desserts and coffee rounded out our meal. A very pleasant evening all around.“

This place wasn’t cheap by any means but it was reasonable for the quality, great for a date night or special occasion.“

“We are tourist & was searching for a place too eat since our first choice for dinner totally ignored us after we sat there 30 minutes we left. This pizza joint is absolutely delicious. The thin crust was delicious especially on the cheese pizza. The only negative thing I have too say is y’all charging too much for a house salad. Several able bodied men spotted me both entering and exiting the restraunt without making me feel as if I was disturbing everyone (believe me, this attitude is not always the case). “This was our second time visiting Giovanni's Trattu. The restaurant is very small with approximately 50 seats, so reservations are a must. We visited mid-week at 6:30 (with a reservation). We were seated immediately upon our arrival. We were a party of 2. We ordered garlic bread, we split a Caesar Salad, we both chose the Chicken Parmesan, and we had the Spumoni Bomba for dessert. The garlic bread was a bit bland. I would pass on that next time. The salad was good. But the Chicken Parmesan was one of the best we have ever had. Definitely a wonderful choice. And the Bomba was great as well. It gets busy and with a small family run restaurant they get a little overwhelmed. The service was good and the people are friendly. Make this one of your stops when in the area!“

The pasta was clearly homemade and cooked well and the sauce had a delicate lemon flavor and was creamy with a great texture. “Beautiful restaurant overlooking the water, outstanding service, and amazing seafood. I had read some of the reviews that were less than stellar but everything that we ordered was fantastic. We started off with their eggplant appetizer, which was full roasted eggplant -- delicious. For the main entree, I was debating between their grilled calamari and the scallops and the server recommended we share a half portion of the calamari and get the scallops. Great recommendation. The scallops were out of this world and a generous portion too. My wife's fish was delicious as well. No complaints about anything. The prices are a bit on the higher side but it's worth it when the food and the ambiance matches expectations. A definite 5 star for me.“

“They definitely don't do things by half measures here, this place is flamboyant in the best way. Huge portion sizes, huge amount of decorations, huge hospitality. We went during spring and they had Easter decorations EVERYWHERE. Started off with their meatballs, which were tender and flavorful (loved the marinara sauce they used). I ordered the lobster cardinale, which was like if you married a really good lobster bisque together with pasta. It's pricey but they don't skimp on the quality of the ingredients (has giant chunks of perfectly cooked lobster). Definitely recommend. My sister had the sausage rigatoni, which was also very good, although didn't stand out to me as much. For dessert, we got the hazelnut cake, and our waiter even gave us some complimentary amaretto, which was a really nice way to finish the meal.“

“Gregorio's Trattoria has become a regular in our take-out dinner rotation. Food is consistently excellent, orders are always ready when expected, and folks that work there are very nice and engaging. Great pizza, chicken parm, shrimp fra diavolo, bruschetta, carbonara, salads...everything is really good. Portions are large enough for two meals, so it turns out their prices are very reasonable...and they have been sending me $10 coupons every time i order guaranteeing I come back. Highly recommend.“

“I'm a regular at Angelo's almost every Tuesday during the fall middle school and spring high school softball seasons. I stop there between the game I umpire and teaching religious education around the corner at St. Patrick's. I will say that the quality at Angelo's is outstanding. I usually do a combination cheeseburger sub or steak and cheese. They are excellent. Plus, the fries are real fries that come out of the deep frier nice and crispy. I often will treat my religious education class to pizzas from Angelo's and they always tell me it's good pizza. Finally, they have Little Gina's pizzels. They're an Italian cookie my Italian mom would make and they are exactly like she would cook them. So, if you want some great pizza or sub plus some really crispy fries, I highly recommend Angelo's. Maybe I'll see you there some Tuesday!“

Good local place though nothing in our selection was a must to come back - though willing to come back again. Servers were very attentive and host was very friendly and accommodating. “I called in for a to-go order on a rainy Wednesday night, and got a small meat lovers pizza with lemon cake. I don't think the pizza was worth it as it reminded me of dry frozen pizza that I could've baked myself for a fraction of the cost. The lemon cake was delicious however! The owners were very sweet when I went to pick up my food and even gave me a small discount-- an even $20 instead of $21 and some change haha. I would come back to try their cheesesteaks, but would avoid the pizza in all honesty.“

“The food was FRESH!!!! The cheese pizza nothing I have had before. I am from Brooklyn. That tomato and cheese on the pizza is next to none. My daughter had the spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs are to die for. The Italian sausage was salty but I was expecting that so no real complaints. Definitely a great little spot . Main seating area is small. No parking. I drove around like 4 times before I found a spot. In driving around I saw a lot of addicts around.“

“This was my first time ordering here and let me tell you the sauce that they use on their pizza is delicious, the person who answered the phone was really nice and friendly. The driver who delivered the pizza was also really friendly to. I’m so happy I’ve run across this place. I will not be going back to anywhere else. The only thing that I Would say is that I wish they had extra fluffy crust because the crust is my favorite part lol but that is also a personal preference. I would 100% getting pizza.“
