“This place was very cute!!! Great vibes and really good music. I love that they had an Asian mart on one side as well. The food was also solid, I got the spicy miso ramen and a salmon roll that was very good. My friends got the vegan ramen, Philly roll, and volcano and enjoyed all their dishes! The drinks were also BOMB and pretty strong! I liked my friends better - it was called the Grasscutter and it was a gin based drink with cucumber and sake and it was soooo refreshing !“

“We had an excellent dinner with very good service with another couple. My husband & I have been here just a few times. Each time it's been extremely good. Last night I had the Chicken Ryehaan & it was scrumptious. My husband raved about his pumpkin dumplings. The decor was nice too.“

“What an incredible collection of brown- 65+ pages of incredible whiskeys, bourbons and more. Multiple bottles of pappy if you're into that. I had a blast selecting (at random, but nothing disappointed!) and my friend got the flight to help guide him, which he loved.Food was fine, acceptable, but for the cool environment I would have figured higher grade in the cuisine. Admittedly the snacks/small plates were far higher quality than the main dishes so maybe the intention was to drink and small plate.Service was good, they made sure we had what we needed but I would have loved a bit more enthusiasm for such an amazing collection.Overall great experience and would go again!“

“The Fountain Inn is everything you'd want in a D.C. cocktail bar- history, location, space, quality, and service. As part of my 39th birthday celebration, my wife surprised me with dinner at Herbivore Indian followed by drinks at The Fountain Inn. Here's our experience. 1) Cocktails: Their menu is large with over 250 different options from cocktails to wine to beer. Their liquor is displayed beautifully behind the bar and includes unique options like a new rum from Thailand. If you love sweet cocktails, they don't have any overly sweetened, but they do have sour. Their cocktail menu includes originals and seasonal options. To start, I ordered the Snallygaster, which comes with strawberry. For my second drink, I did "bartender's choice" and got a drink made with Thai rum, orange wine, and egg whites. Both were very refreshing, complex, and unique. For more still drinks, my wife loved her Old Fashioneds. 2) Space: Off the busy part of Georgetown, it feels more like a neighborhood space. They have a small bottom room and bar and an upstairs where they host tastings and events. The space is intimate creating a perfect date spot. The space is beautiful! 3) Service: The bartenders take pride in their craft and are very skilled. It was a delightful experience. If you love cocktails, go here! Opened in 2021, it honors a 1783 tavern with deep history once in the area.“

“Black Whiskey is an incredible whiskey bar for both enthusiasts and newcomers. Anthony, the bar manager, is kind and well-informed about whiskey. For whiskey hobbyists, you are not going to find a better deal on whiskey. All pours are min 2 oz (plus a tad extra). The prices are rare whiskey are highly competitive. BTAC pours at $50. New releases everywhere at reasonable prices. This is the perfect place to try before you buy, or just to try bottles that you may never have the chance to buy at MSRP.“

“I like that the menu rotates, this keeps things fun and fresh. The venue itself is pretty small, but cozy. The restaurant has a high class atmosphere with big plates, small serving sizes, and artful topping displays. The drinks took a while to come out, but the food arrived quickly, especially given the size of our party. I enjoyed the Cosmo and Wanda cocktail. The thyme syrup is a unique addition. My scallops and halibut were both cooked perfectly! They did a better job than many seafood restaurants in this respect. The sunchoke basil puree was delicious on the scallops, they were some of the best that I've ever had. But the fish needed to be seasoned, it was too bland. I saw other reviews mentioning delicious bread. We were not offered any, but this would have helped add to the meal. Bread or more substantial sides (instead of the toppings) are definitely needed, since the portions are on the smaller side. The carrot cake was pretty sweet, but a good way to end the meal. I loved the citrus crumble and the frosting. Next time I want to try one of the more exotic menu items.“
