The apple barbecue bacon bird is the bes sandwich I’ve ever had hands down nothing compares to it and no restaurant in a 100 mile radius is competing with the sandwich

I am always excited to try food trucks and have enjoyed some good food from a bunch of them. Sadly we were not impressed with the food we got from this truck at a recent event we went to. My husband had a sausage and pepper sandwich and after taking a few bites he ended up throwing the rest of it away. The sausage was really overcooked and dry, there were only a few pieces of onions and peppers on it, and there was no sauce at all. He was pretty bummed. I ordered the dump fries which really sounded good - chicken and dumplings on top of fries - but they ended up being rather bland. I think they would have been better if there was more gravy in the chicken and dumplings - there was just really nothing to marry the two together so I ended up just eating the chicken and dumplings off the top, which were actually pretty good, and tossing most of the fries. The people were nice though and it didn't take very long to get our order so that was a plus.

Maryland in a Can was an oasis for us because we were so hungry and could not find anything open while we were on the road. The people who work there were very nice and patient with us because we had never been and they happily explained everything on the menu to us. The food was made fresh to order. The flavor of the shrimp was delicious but I should have just gotten a shrimp basket because the bread was way too much. My husband felt the same about the fish sandwich. If you like thick fluffy bread then the sandwiches are the way to go. We would definitely stop again if we were in the area to grab something to eat but be prepared to take it home or eat in your car if you're on the road.

Finally had a chance to visit MD in a Can yesterday and chose the Shrimp Po' Boy. The sandwich was huge, stuffed with at least a dozen large fried shrimp and a tasty sweet slaw on a soft fresh roll. Be prepared for a bit if a wait because they cook everything to order, but well worth it. I'll definitely be back!
