“Dear Diary - I failed to write a proper review of this establishment location, so here it is. Recently went to the location at Montgomery Mall and the food experience was disappointing. I needed redemption! The food quality, service, and even management walking around, asking if things were OK; I believe they even turned down the AC/air flow because a person was a bit chilly - everything was excellent. Their burgers were cooked and flavored perfectly. Their fries were crispy. Nothing about the food we had was overly salted. Everything was nicely done. If you need good quality burger at shake shack in the area, go to this standalone location, you will not be disappointed.“
“"The best time for ice cream is always." Sprinkles is a woman owned, small business in Potomac Shopping center. I recently ordered a birthday cake for my son in law, who is a baseball fan. The cake was made from chocolate and marshmallow ice cream and roadrunner Raspberry with peanut butter cups and fudge ribbon running through it. The ice cream was delicious. We devoured the cake! The people who work there are spectacular! We have serious allergy- illness in our family and the cake was made with gluten free ice cream. The design was excellent. My son in law loved it. The people who worked there made ordering a breeze. Thanks Katlyn for going the extra mile to find out which flavors were gluten free and if you could honor our requests. You made life so much easier! It was really appreciated. I used to teach at Potomac Elementary around the corner and we always brought our students by for a treat. The store has really expanded to include specialty gifts and treats. It looks beautiful. So, great service, delicious ice cream, cute cakes, and gifts...please, support this local business. Ice cream is cheaper than therapy, so enjoy!“
“As a somewhat regular at the Tombs and having dined at a few of the many Clyde's Restaurants, I can honestly say that my expectations were nowhere near as high as to the level of quality that my friends and I enjoyed tonight at the 1789. In a word it was simply "AMAZING". The service was flawless, there were there when we needed them and mysteriously disappeared when we were set. Sometimes in fine dining the service staff can be hovering over us like Seagulls on the prowl at the Jersey Shore. We took our time to consume three courses and an enjoy a few libations. The dining room is intimate and inviting the fireplace was lit aglow, warm and comforting to sit by. The menu is adventurous but not contrived or so esoteric that we needed to google explanations so that we might navigate our choices. Presentations were elegant and simple with the emphasis on execution. Unlike so many trendy new places around DC seem to be awash in multiple concoctions that involve far too many syllables. The flavors were on point and the kitchen showed a prowess that must only come as a notice that it's all about the taste, the freshness and the seasonality that we find ourselves in. The New Bedford Seared Sea Scallops were delicious, plump and sweet. And the accompanying sauce just perfectly paired with the Scallops. The Escargot garlicky and salty. The only ever so slight misstep was with the Grilled Octopus, a wee tad rubbery possibly didn't poach long or slow enough to tenderize the tentacles before they were finished on the Grill. Our Entrees were all eagerly passed around the table and there was unanimous agreement that all four were perfect. We sampled the Lamb, the Halibut, Duck and the Wagu Short-ribs, whose taste and tenderness took me back to a similar experience 30 years ago at a small French Cafe in Newport. In my Humble opinion this entire experience was undoubtedly the finest meal I've ever been served in our Nations Capital. Reservations are almost always a must but trust me it is indeed worth the wait. Everyone got dessert because we were all part of the Clean Plate Club. Of particular note was the 1789 Pastry Chef's interpretation of Classic Carrot Cake. Reservations are highly recommended and be assured that you will leave with a delicious taste in your mouth and an overwhelming urge to plan your return to the "1789".“
“Sarah's ice cream caused confusion to my all time favorite flavor. Rose Pistachios, Earl Grey Speculoos, Hazelnut Biscoff, and Bluberry Swirl are some of evolving favorites. Cannot wait to try new monthly flavors. It's true joy to have local and the best ice cream store near by!“
“I had tons of gelato when I traveled to Italy with one of our favorite spots being Venchi. Since coming back, we've tried other gelato places but none have been anything like what we had there. Imagine how giddy I was to find out that the same Venchi was located in the States and close to my house!! We promptly tried the stracciatella ( my daughter's favorite) and it immediately took us back. It was rich, creamy, perfectly sweet, and delicious just like I remembered. We will definitely be back!“
“Carmen's Best shaved Ice I ever Had In my life I say this because It was just so soft and smooth. The service was Really good The co workers were very patience with me I was so Indecisive Cause they have so much flavors. I love how they let me pick 2 flavors with no charge too I wish it was closer to Frederick. I think Carmen's Italian ice is way better then Rita's to be honest.“
“Great ice cream with tons of flavors, one flavor for $5, two for $6!Like most places, they offered free samples and I really appreciated the clipboard wall to clearly display all the flavors they had available. There were 3 different freezers, and so many options for cones, shakes, toppings, and even pints to take home ??I really enjoyed the matcha cheesecake and the orange chocolate chip flavors, as well as red velvet cake that had chunks of cake in their ice cream, that I tried but there were so many to choose from that I couldn’t try so I’d be happy to check it out again!Dietary restrictions: Ice cream flavors with nuts are clearly distinguished“
“While staying in Arlington for work I met up with an old friend to catch up with over coffee. Three whistles is the perfect location to do just that. There is plenty of seating to accommodate multiple sized parties, and very large store front windows letting in plenty of light. I went on a Monday and there were also a good amount of people in there quietly working from their laptops, I assume there is WiFi if that is something you are looking for. we got a cozy corner booth and when you order the staff will deliver your food and coffee to your table. I ordered an iced hazelnut latte and a ham and cheese breakfast croissant. The coffee was pretty tastey, but nothing life changing. The hazelnut flavoring coming through was just the right amount not to over powering, and for my croissant was also equally delicious. They do theirs a little differently, the croissant itself is completely enclosed stuffed with ham and cheese. And there were plenty of other options if you are in the mood for something else.“
“Future patrons of Crumbl, beware. These cookies are gigantic mounds of addictive deliciousness. More like 4 cookies in one, we like to order the 4 pack, divide the cookies into quarters, then share each one. We can't go too often if we want to keep somewhat fit, but these are a yummy treat every now and then when the flavors of the week look irresistible.“
“Super great ice cream place! The worker who helped us was super nice and recommend our ice cream combos. Flavor was super great too. We went before it got busy so it was quick and easy. Our total for what was pictured was $20 so be mindful of price but a super solid ice cream place to enjoy“
“What a cute little cafe in the heart of downtown Vienna. It's such a warm and cozy vibe and their owners are so welcoming. Such great service!I got their affogatos which was amazing because you get to pick your ice cream flavor since their store is also an ice cream parlor. I got some pastries which were so good. I want to come during breakfast so I can try their food! I hope to return!“
“I love Pasha Castle! All of the treats are delightful. The staff was very helpful, and we were able to taste test some things to help make our decision- which wasn’t easy with some many delicious options. The Pasha Special is to die for, and the Turkish Delight options make me feel at home. The only downside to this place is that there are limited seating options, and the atmosphere and design are very minimalistic for those who might want to eat there treats while here instead of taking them to-go.“
“My husband and I love this place & always recommend to our friends who haven’t been yet. From the gelato, to drip coffee, gluten free brownies and breakfast sandwiches and burritos, everything is SUPERB! Yesterday we ordered the breakfast burrito(comes in spinach wrap), waffles & breakfast tacos with bacon added. As usual, everything was fresh, quick & filling! Kevin up front is always great to chat with & super helpful. The other young ladies are also friendly, hardworking & keep the place so neat & tidy. Stop by!!“
“The ice cream here is absolutely delicious. It is a bit richer than some of the ice creams as they use 16% butterfat, so unfortunately it was melting quickly, but the green tea and chocolate flavors were really good. Unfortunately, on the day I went, they were out of ube, so I didn't get to try it, but I hope to sometime. I also wish they had more space inside as it is really difficult to eat ice cream in your car.“
“I heard about Levain and was in the Bethesda area, so I had to make a stop. As soon as you walk in, you’re hit was amazing smells of baked goods and fresh coffee. The options are simple and straightforward. The staff was all business; get you in and get you out - order and move out of the way.I tried four different cookies. Were they worth the hype? Yes! Absolutely! Maybe some of the best cookies I’ve ever had. At $5 a piece, they’re expensive but worth the cost. I will definitely visit again when in town and look forward to trying other options and flavors. Thanks.“
“When they say lil, they mean it! This place is super small, so there is no place to sit inside. They have over 10 flavors to choose from, all very fun and funky. They also have root beer floats and coffee. We enjoyed our chocolate raspberry ice cream. Very reasonable pricing! You can park in the lot behind very easily.“
“Who would brave ice cream in -15°C weather? Apparently, adventurous souls like us! Our visit to Bruster's Real Ice Cream was an unusual but delightful experience, even in the freezing cold. Despite the shivering and teeth-chattering, enjoying their delicious ice cream in such extreme conditions added a fun and memorable twist to our outing. It's a testament to the quality and appeal of Bruster's ice cream that it can be thoroughly enjoyed even when the temperature is well below freezing. For those willing to embrace the cold for a tasty treat, Bruster's Real Ice Cream is definitely worth the visit.“
“This is by far the best ice cream I’ve ever had. I even follow them on instagram because I can’t get enough. The Nutella is my favorite, but I’ve LOVED every single flavor they’ve made. I’m so happy that Uber delivers to Kingstown! I get it twice a month now.. hahaha. I really think they beat a lot of other places in the DMV, I’m so surprised they don’t sell out every night hahaha.“
“These are some of the best cookies I have ever tasted. The staff are very friendly and their customer service is amazing. The fact that every week there is a new selection is an amazing treat for true cookie lovers. I employ everyone that reads this review to go and try the cookies at a crumbl location near you. You will not be disappointed!!!“
“Finally got by to check this place out a d was not disappointed. Grandma, Posh and her son were all very nice and d personable. You can tell they take pride in the ingredients they use as soon as you bite in. I had the Cheesecake waffle with strawberries and a scoop of soft serve and it was amazing! Definitely going back!“
“This is a great Rita's with nice and patient servers. I love the gelatis, but was not too impressed by the sampler platter for Vienna restaurant week, because I feel like it's strange to have the gelato and custard be separate. However, this place is fresh and the gelatis are great to have on a hot day.“
“This is absolutely my go-to for breakfast and lunch. The Standard is my favorite breakfast sandwich around. Customer service is unbeatable- they’re always so friendly. One time I accidentally ordered to the wrong location and they were so nice about it and even gave me a complimentary dessert. Would give them 10 stars if I could!“
“Yummy froyo place in Bethesda Row. Smaller array of flavors but they are all so delicious! Also includes vegan froyo options like sorbet. Good topping choices with a clean hygienic self serve area. Super nice workers who let us sample flavors before we actually got them. Yummy and good music taste. Very clean interior and perfect stop while shopping around Bethesda Row. Really want to emphasize how kind the worker was!! I think his name was Pablo, he's so sweet and seems to really care about the store.“
“Is it risky to get all 6 and share with friends each week? Yes. But what is better than rating the cookies? We've rarely had cookies we dislike so much we cannot finish and it's fun to see how creative they can be! Often, the sweetest sounding ones are the most well “
“I haven't been here in a couple of years, but I LOVE the new flavors. I got a cup of the guava and can't wait to get the passion fruit next time. I'm so happy they are diversifying the flavors, but I of course couldn't leave without a pint of the rum raisin. They make their own ice cream so it always tastes fresh and doesn't have that artificial flavor some places have. It's definitely a must try for any dessert lovers who find themselves in the Montgomery county area“
“Ohhhh these cookies were GOOOOD! cant go wrong with Crumbl. I wish their pink iced sugar cookie was always on the menu though. Miss it. my favorite so far is the Bischoff and the Kentucky Butter one. store very clean and the staff pleasant.“
“Beautiful day for some sunshine and great ice cream! The staff is so kind, sweet and patient. One of our favorite flavors is graham central station. Today I got the mint chocolate chip in honor of St. Patty’s. It was perfect amount of mint flavor! Not overwhelming. Lots of choco chips too!!“
“Love the ice cream, sub par customer service. We have been coming here for a while. Until my family and i finished dinner late at mosaic around 9:40 PM. We are vegan so we figured a nice place for dessert would be Jenny’s instead of the restaurant. My sister raced ahead of us there to get us some before they closed. She got to the door exactly at 10 and there were still people eating inside, and in line when she got in. As she entered, she was scolded by the gentlemen. No ma’am we’re closed! He yelled,She’s explained “ but it’s ten exactly? Can you make an exception?”No! We are closed! Please leave! The only reason it isn’t a one star is because their ice cream is great. But coming from a bartender and industry folk, trying to leave exactly at 10 isn’t always an option if you want to be successful and HOSPITABLE. Listen dude we ran across town because y’all covered the step of great ingredients. Now try a splash of patience and understanding and you would have made a family of 4 very happy on this Friday night. Not to mention a few extra bucks. Here’s a tip for the owners: How about analyzing what hours your most successful operating in? Maybe try adjusting hours if you can to 10:30? You’d be surprised what you can make in 30 mins when there’s a line as your trying to close. Closing procedure is as important as opening.UPDATE: very nice lady at the counter, friendly and warm, 5-stars, will be back“
“We were staying next door to the Flavor Garden and came in for breakfast on our first day in DC, the service was good, the good was so good. I keep thinking about the scrambled eggs! They tasted freshly scrambled and made out of real eggs, and seriously the best eggs I have had in my life! The french toast and bacon were also good but not as good as those eggs! We returned that evening for dinner and my husband and I both had the burgers. They were the best ever! Great flavor and texture and so savory. I also had one of the best margaritas I have ever had and all in all really good filling meals! I wish we got a chance to go again before we left DC. Believe me when I tell you go check them out!“
“Cute little shop will the best booba in Rockville Derwood area. Love the shop and set up. Amazing ambiance. During the summer you can make your own ice cream, literally. I highly recommend it. You will love the variety of tastes, tropical mixed with asian flavors.“
“If you're a fan of matcha, this place is a must-visit. Personally, I always opt for their ice cream, and it never fails to impress. While more topping options would be a bonus, the overall experience is great. The vibe of the place adds to the enjoyment. Five stars for consistently delightful matcha treats and a wonderful atmosphere!“
“Got a 4 pack of cookies here with my family. I got the brookie, chocolate chip, Red Velvet and pumpkin (with cream on top)the brookie and chocolate chip was very disappointing and mid at best. The Red Velvet and pumpkin was out of this world amazing, so much so those 2 are the only ones we finished as a group.“
“A cute little ice cream shop located near the Italian Store and across the street from Lost Dog. Its a great stop after a lunch or dinner for a quick dessert. The service was very friendly. Its a fairly basic traditional shop inside with minimal seating except for a countertop area. They offer all the usual flavors plus a handful of unique ones, and a decent selection of toppings. There really isn't anything unique here, but for an ice cream shop, that's not a bad thing!“
“Definitely try the Hazelnut Crackle ice cream – it's a winner. The folks working there are pretty friendly. Heads up though, even though pour over coffee is listed on the menu, they said they don't actually serve it. Ended up with a Decaf Americano instead, and honestly, it was pretty terrible.“
“Super cute cafe! I didn't realize it was inside of the Ted's Bulletin. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch latte was delicious with pieces of the actual cereal in it. The sidekicks were good as well, 2 is a great breakfast but they need some sort of sauce!! Like an aioli or mayo idk. Cashier was nice!“
“I love Ben and Jerry's and am so happy they have vegan options at their scoop shop. This location has a small seating area. About 15 people could eat indoors. When the weather is nice there is plenty of outdoor seating. The employees were very kind and helpful. I came with friends and they had so much patience handing out samples and answering out questions about the vegan flavors and which cones were vegan friendly. I got the nondairy Whirled Piece and the nondairy chocolate chip cookie dough on a sugar cone. The ice creams were great! You would never know it was vegan: the cone tasted a bit stale. Next time I visit this location I will either get a cake cone or just a cup so I do not have the disappointing taste in my mouth of an old sugar cone.“
“I couldn’t wait to rate this after I ate here for the first time! It’s difficult to find pizza places around my area that sell by the slice and that are great quality. This place has everything!! Great quality, service, ambience! The pizza tastes amazing!! Loved my margarita one! Would recommend!“
“Great service and atmosphere! The staff are welcoming and insightful when it comes to picking the perfect flavor/combinations and toppings. Be prepared the line can get LONG especially in the Spring/Summer but it’s totally worth the wait!Vegetarian options: There are typically at least 2 vegan sorbet options here and they’ve also recently introduced a non-dairy banana based soft serve.Parking: Large paid parking lot with two entrances attached to the mall. $1 for the first 3 hours.“
“Our family has tried the chocolate stracciatella, mint stracciatella and strawberry. All so creamy and delicious! More importantly, the customer service is amazing. There have been delays with mail delivery in our area so Gemma personally drove to our home to deliver our gelato to us. AMAZING! We will definitely be ordering more.“
“Finally tried the famous Pupatella. I was so excited about trying the pizza that I had already scarfed down half of the pizza after realizing I didn't get a picture. I ordered online on a Friday around 6:30. Order took about 40 minutes. They were extremely busy and they keep a great flow of people. It was very lively inside. The pizza was great. I got the Caivano. The char was perfect. The crust wasn't extremely thin, which I like. This pizza came with tons of meat! No skimping. I will say that my pizza wasn't exactly saucy or super cheesy. Overall, great flavor and I will definitely be back to try more menu items.“
“This matcha soft serve was delicious and plentiful! I asked for added red bean to it. I gave the 4 stars, instead of 5, because after being charged for red bean separately- it was a very stingy amount- as a red bean lover, I would've appreciated more and happily paid accordingly- very disappointing. The girl who served it didn't say much or offer much customer service. Otherwise, quite delicious.“

“Loved my second visit here with my hubby this time. I ordered the same thing again with different toppings-- the Strawberry Lady consisting of strawberry ice cream, whipped cream, marshmallows, and fresh strawberries. My husband got the Reese's Blast that had lots of chocolate and peanut flavors to it. Both items weren't overly sweet which I really appreciated. The order can be placed by using the touchscreen or by letting the cashier know. The price can be a bit extra except it's worth it. Our two ice cream orders came out shy of $16 but it comes with at least 3 free toppings of our choosing. The only gripe I have is parking. The lot in front of the store is perpetually full. It's best to park across the street if able.“
“I definitely recommend, it is always very clean there. The customer service is also very good they’re very kind employees. Everything there taste really good for the toppings the strawberries are so good and are fresh. I love it there and I will definitely be going there more often specifically in the summer time. ??“
“This was my first time trying this flavor and i would say it was really good. Service was great, staff was nice. If was a cute little ice cream joint. I always loved the inside of Jeni's. Back to the ice cream: I don't remember the full name but it was rainbow yogurt. The texture wasn't like your normal ice cream but it was more on the yogurt side with tons of flavor. The waffle wasn't the greatest, not sure why. Maybe it was an off night or something. Overall, jeni's ice cream is always on point! Thanks!“
“La Moo Creamery is out of this world AWESOME! We found this location on a Google search for “ice cream near me” and we’re SO glad that we did. It was a crappy rainy night, which immediately calls for good food. La Moo Creamery didn’t disappoint. I ordered the Apple Pie A-La-Mod and my wife ordered the “Reese With A Spoon” total play on Reese Weatherspoon name (which we ❤️ her as an actress), and our boys had cookies and cream. The service was great, and the food was amazing. The store was clean, and the restroom was spotless. There decor in the restroom was sweet with signage and hand drawn signs. Parking can be a little tricky, but we waited about 2-3 minutes and a spot came available. Rate a 10 out of 10, highly recommended. Enjoy!Parking: Due to the location, adjacent to a busy Harris Teeter grocery store, the parking lot is packed. We were able to find a spot within no time.“
“This dessert is amazing!I came by the other night and tried a Cup 1Mango.This is just an amazing combination.Unlike anything I have ever had.Try it!You will absolutely be hooked! It makes your tongue tingle!I have more visits! This cup one is just amazing!I highly recommend this place! It is amazing stuff! The Cup one is shown and my favorite so far!“
“This Baskin Robbins was a nice surprise! My daughter loves their ice cream cake so I go there at least twice a year for cakes.i have had terrible issues with the one in Sterling. Last year the manager from Reston helped me solve a usual wrong order issue and assured me the reston store is different. He sure was right. I picked two cakes yesterday. They were correct and the 2 men working were fantastic. Francisco immediately saw it would be hard for me to carry all to my car so insisted on carrying everything to my car. He safely secured everything like a pro. What a gentlemen. THANK YOU!!!“
“This is a stall in the middle of the food court on the top level of the mall (where AMC) is. It's in the middle of the seating area, not along the back wall. I had a Croffle from here, although I cannot remember which one exactly but it was delicious. They only had one person working there at the time so I had to wait but not a very long time. Service to order was quick and easy.“
“We've been going to The Scoop for about a year. We found it on a hot night and Googling for ice cream. We love The Scoop! The ice cream is delicious, and we know we will always have a fresh scoop of ice cream. Prices aren't bad, particularly for small batch ice cream, but the quality makes it worth it.Excited for it to warm up some more, and we will absolutely be going regularly!“
