“Stopped here for first time with my wife and aunt. We got fish and chips, cheese steak, wings, and cream of crab soup. We enjoyed every item and had to carry stuff home. Our waitress was both friendly and helpful. We will stop here again. Only bad thing, Ravens lost.”
“Three of us stopped here after a show. Two got the fish and chips and the other the crab dip bowl. The fish here is outstanding and the crab dip was delicious. Our server was both knowledgeable and friendly.”
“I've been here before months ago and got a regular pepperoni pizza that was pretty average and forgotten about but came back again today for the second time and tried their shrimp pasta with cajun sauce and wings and was honestly pretty blown away at how damn good it is especially the pasta.”
“My go-to place for Maryland steamed crabs. All through the summer and early fall I'll get crabs once or twice per month from Crabs Out Back. I have been to many local places to get steamed crabs but Crabs Out Back has consistently been the most reasonably priced for steamed (or live) crabs. The staff is very friendly and most of the time the crabs are steaming hot, sitting on the counter at the exact time I said I'd be there to pick them up. Most importantly, the crabs are always perfectly steamed, perfectly seasoned and delicious! If you are lucky you may be able to find their crab pretzel which I highly recommend too. However they seem to quickly sell out of their pretzels so make sure to pick one up if you see it in the display. You'll be happy that you did!”
“I never leave without my growler full of beer! They all taste great! Sparkles in the "bog juice" are a favorite too! Food never disappoints, specials are creative and always delicious! Atmosphere is always inviting from accessibility to open mic night. Owners and all staff are always willing to share some time for an even better experience!Kid-friendliness: Crayons and games to keep kids busy. Open lines of sight so parents can keep a watchful eye too.Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessible, with 2 grandchildren in wheelchairs we never had any issues!”
“What a place for a wine and beer festival! I came with a friend on this rainy day, but that didn't stop the party. There was plenty of parking and directions just don't miss the turn in my the small black sign. They have an air b&b on the property and a lot of wine pairing classes. The wine slushys are are strong in my opinion and super tasty. The sunset wine has to be my favorite out of all the tastings I did. The food trucks on sight had a good bit of variety to choose from. Looking forward to coming back and enjoying the annual events that this winery has to offer soon”
“I've lived in the area for almost 10 years but am originally from NJ. Sometimes I miss a good Jersey pizza. This is one of the only places I've found in Cecil County that tastes just as good as a Jersey pizza. I would recommend trying their pepperoni rolls if you are in the area. Every time I order from here I have to get one... they're that good!”
“Nice to have this local deli in my town. My husband came home with two different desserts and they were amazing! One was a chocolate cake with caramel, the other was peanut butter cookie crumble. Will definitely be going back for more and to try the sandwiches.”
“The customer service Miss. Phyllis has is amazing! Very professional and very attentive. Just went the other day and got the Hot Meatloaf and was very impressed, seasoned and cooked to perfection. Why I love little diners. Food Is always good and fills you up. I will definitely be back to get that meatloaf again! Definitely should be the winner again for the best diner in Cecil Whig! Thank you Spready Oak! Keep supporting local businesses!”
“One of the only ma and pa shops left. They make the best sandwiches for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The soups, pasta salads and desserts are all homemade. You can always expect a hot cup of coffee in the morning and swing by for a great milkshake in the afternoon. Always amazing oysters and crabs!”
“The food was delicious and a lot of it. You could tell that it was just made, when I ordered it. The service was excellent. She talked to my wife and I just the right amount. It is a small place but clean and orderly.”
“First time here and I was totally impressed with the atmosphere, service and food. The place is bright and festive. The wait staff were very friendly and helpful. The chips and salsa were homemade and FREE. Some Mexican restaurants charge for them. The shrimp Chimichangas were delicious ! Lots of shrimp and very tasty. The beans and rice were also very good. The prices were very reasonable too. We'll be coming back !!!!”
“Big Foot is hands down is one of my favorite places to eat. Service is excellent and also the food. Consistency is what I look for and they definitely knock it out the park every time. Don’t hesitate to shop with them. I absolutely love them.”
“We have tried Pizza Tower II twice so far, leaving us wanting to go again. We dined in both times, ordered at the counter when we walked in, sat down and within no time at all our meals were being served. First time I had a burger and fries, burger was hefty and tasty. Little one had chicken fingers, hubby had the steak salad. The steak salad was fresh and was a large portion, it left him satisfied. Second time I had the Philly Chessesteak, it was great, had great flavors and the small was more than enough for me. Hubby tried out the Pizza Tower Chicken salad, he enjoyed that one too. Having two great experiences has left this a spot we will definitely go back to.”
“Options we have chosen have all been tasty.. the Chicken lo mein and Pepper steak with onion are my top two favorites. I had to go back again just for the pepper steak and onion it was so good. Hubby thought the BBQ spare rib combo was great. We dined in for the first time and I had the bourbon chicken special which was also good, to me, its on the sweet side. They were extremely crowded with take out orders, given that, it wasn't too long of a wait. Plenty of seating available.”
“I love this place. This is my absolute favorite Starbucks. The people are so friendly. They all remember my drink. And for some reason they make it better than anyone else. I love the staffKid-friendliness: They are always so sweet to my kids. They almost feel like family.”
“I used to like McDonald's when I was little. But now it's just not that good. I found out that the double cheeseburgers are better than just the normal cheeseburgers. The fries are top tier. Sometimes, their ice cream machine is broken. The customer service is fine, but sometimes they mess up your order. Overall, it's not ”
“An excellent little eat-in dinner with spectacular food and a calm, relaxed atmosphere. As an added bonus, they cater well to people with food allergies. Definitely worth the trip.”
“Place has a lot of good food. Highly suggest buffalo chicken cheese steak with extra meat and have the cheese chopped up in the meat. I get the blue cheese replaced with ranch. Solid choice. The fries are super crispy but also thicc so theyre still mushy on the inside. Honestly some of the best fries ive ever had.”
“Great food. Great staff. Comfortable atmosphere. Great place to hang out with friends.Wheelchair accessibility: The only complaint I have is that it is not handicap accessible so I could not bring my father there for a meal. He would love this place!”
“You think your pizza making skills are pretty good or you got some good local joints and you’re completely happy with your pizza life. Then you get a pie from Ercole’s and you remember what real NY pizza tastes like. You feel bliss but then overwhelming sadness that there is no Ercole’s by you. If you’re in a 20 minute radius, I have no idea why you’re eating anywhere else.”
“This place is great! I found it on Yelp because the food options at Great Wolf lodge are so so. This was an easy 7 min drive and we showed up on rib night. A whole rack of ribs and a side for $12.99. (I hope that price stays the same). Since we stay at GWL a lot, we will be coming here more often. (It seems this place gets a lot of traffic from them )”
“Great place to come and hang out for whatever occasion. They have a nice selection of beer and the staff was awesome. I was there near Halloween time, so they had a bunch of folks dressed up in costumes; which reminds me, I got a bone to pick with the grandpa guy who kept blocking my walking path, lol. This is a definitely a place I will visit next time I am in town.”
“Cool casual spot with good beer selection, good burgers, and an excellent fried chicken/waffle sandwich. Service has always been really very accommodating, especially with our larger groups.”
“Glad to finally visit this cozy yet spacious coffee shop. The owners are doing a great job of providing a comfortable environment for eating and visiting with friends and family. Highly recommend!”
“Place was packed they get right too you. And I've gotten chicken meals there twice. And both times the most juiciest chicken I every gotten out. ? amazing great job ”
“We recently used 5th company brewing for my sister’s surprise 30th. I was beyond satisfied. On a budget, chef Brandon put together some wonderful trays of finger foods. Lexi who helped us reserve the venue, was an absolute sweetheart, she was very on top of things and was very responsive during the planning. Bartenders were very attentive, no long wait. We ordered food from the kitchen, it came out quick and everything was delicious. If you are looking for a good venue or just a place to go hang out/eat, 5th company is your place! Thank you all so so much for your hospitality. We will be back & hopefully for some more events!”
“This may be the weirdest review ever but here goes. I have never actually eaten here but was stationed at Aberdeen PG in 1970-71. Really enjoyed Maryland for the most part and growing up in Mississippi I was exposed to several dishes that we had never heard of at the time in the Deep South. Submarine sandwiches believe it or not were one. We had Po Boys which were similar but not exactly the same thing. Also grew to love fried clams which no one here at the time ever ate. Of course we had oysters from the gulf and plenty of blue crab but the steamed crab Maryland style was superior to our boiled crab. By the way Marylanders, many of the crabs y'all are now eating come from the gulf not Chesapeake Bay. A friend of mine who is a crabber on Lake Pontchartrain sells all of his #1 crabs for export to Maryland as he makes twice as much than selling the locally . Anyway, I do wish I could make another trip to the area and see what is new the last 50 years. From the looks on yelp, a lot. I am a foodie though and have learned to read between the lines on Yelp reviews and based on that, I would definitely give this place a try. It looks great and I feel sure it is. Bon appetite!”
“Unfortunately, my party of seven arrived too late in the evening for the crabs--the room was completely booked. Everyone seemed to enjoy their drinks and meals. My fried seafood platter was average, but I did enjoy the cornmeal hushpuppies. Wellwood is a little pricey, but worth the atmosphere and charm.”
“I had a few extra minutes to kill between estimates today and decided to try this place out. It's really big on the inside and had plenty of room for everyone. I didn't have any coffee but the sausage egg and cheese on a plain bagel hit the spot. From the crisp outside to the hot middle it was great. Nothing worse than getting a hard or tough bagel. Just like a good cheesesteak, the bread is key. I will definitely be back anytime I'm in Rising Sun.”
