Excellent service and food! We took a long time to order our food in a group of 4, and never felt rushed. They offered us tastings for different wines and we loved that!

I ordered take away food for myself and my parents and everything was deliciously enjoyed. I overslept the pick up time as I'd ordered the night before for pick up next day. Thankfully everyone allowed me to pick up the meal late. Food was divine.

The roasted Brussels sprouts are absolutely divine and perfect every single time. I've tried a few of their pizzas, and they're all delicious. The margherita is my favorite but you really can't go wrong with any of them!

Although we usually order takeout from this restaurant once every month or so, today was the first time my family and I dined inside. The food was excellent, and we had quick service by the waiter who was very attentive and polite. I had the manicotti and my wife and daughter both had the pasta with vodka sauce. We will definitely be returning in the near future.

First time here. Ordered the Bruschetta as a starter and was pleasantly surprised at how fluffy and crunchy the bread was, nor was it soggy. The bread basket was delicious as well. For the main course I ordered the Seafood Risotto, which comes with Jumbo shrimp. They were huge, 5 pieces for the whole dish though. I prefer more variety like clams and scallops as well, but it did the job. It was a little too cluttered- onions, tomatoes were too big, and mushrooms. It disrupted the soft texture I love in risotto but none the less was still delicious. My partner had the Lunch Eggplant Parmesan and let me try a bite and I much preferred that over my own dish! The marinara was light and delicious, and the eggplant was soft and not too oily with that satisfying breaded crunch. Can't wait to eat the leftovers at home.

I hadn’t had pizza in a while. I drive for a living, and crave good quality Italian food every once in a while. I read Baronessa’s positive reviews and thought I would give it a shot. I ordered their brick oven Angelo’s special pizza. When the food was handed to me I first thought it was a mistake. The box was way too small for an $18 dinner sized pizza. I looked inside and this / cute little guy peeked out at me. The pizza was hot and fresh, ingredients were quality as advertised. In terms of flavor and texture easily one of the better slices of pizza I’ve ever had. I understand that times have changed and costs are going up. It just seems like they could make a slightly larger pizza at that price point. I’ll be back, maybe try some other lunch offerings.

Our server was very nice and the food was delicious. I got the ricotta gnocchi and it came with a creamy tomato sauce topped with cheese in the center. Decadent and delicious. The serving sizes were really good for the price.

We have seen good reviews on this restaurant for the past few years and decided to try it since it was near our home. Our party of four ordered three pasta/chicken dishes and one pizza. The pasta/chicken dishes were all excellent (Marsala, picatta, and penne pasta in vodka sauce). The wood fired pizza was also very good. Service was also top notch. Spouse said the chicken piccata was some of the best he has had. We all agreed that this restaurant was a good choice and we certainly would return in the future!

Doordash order They had an option for gluten free on everything, not the case. I had a feeling so we placed orders for gf lasagna, manicotti, alfredo and a pizza. They called to say they didnt have manicotti or lasagna - i asked them to cancel that and send the other two. They never cancelled the items and doordash charged for all the items and because the restaurant was closed they couldnt verify my claim. Even though there is a picture of the 2 items delivered in the doordash app. But anyway the pizza was undercooked which was fine because i could bake it at the location i was at and when heated this was good. The alfredo was good too. The experience was just a hassle, i think it would be way better in person. I am working with doordash to get the items i didnt get refunded.

Stopped in while in the Rockville area. Super low-key place. Service was nice, ambiance was casual. The complementary bread was not great. That being said, got the margherita and mushroom pizza. They were excellent. Outstanding crust and tasted authentic. I would highly recommend stopping in for the pizza if you want quick, high quality pizza in a highly casual environment.

Amazing fresh food. Ordered the beet salad and calamari for appetizers. The beet salad was perfectly balanced with a variety of flavors. I ordered the pasta verde, fresh spinach pasta tossed in charred brussell sprouts, sliced cherry tomatoes and shredded basil pesto sauce. The shrimp were perfectly cooked. I would have loved for the tails of the shrimp to be removed. I don't like to get up and wash my hands during a dinner and usually restaurants don't have the proper soap to take the smell off your fingers. I can't wait to head back to Rockville and try another dish.

We visited at about 5:15 on a wednesday. Baronessa had been recommended to me by a friend who really knew food many years ago, and though inalways liked it, i didnt go there often. The decor is very understated and no one is going to be extremely impressed about the ambiance. I have limited vision so I appreciate that it is well lit. There are plenty of comfortable seats and Baronessa does a lot of take out business. The service is prompt and courteous. The menu is large and very Italiian- the descriptions are bery useful. The prices are very good. They make their own pasta and they have several varieties including gluten-free options. They have a wood-fired pizza oven. They also have angood sized cauliflower crust pizza that even my wife liked. I tried the minestrone and it was good- with a little S&P. We had an Italian red wine (cab blend) that was outstanding. We both loved our meals and we topped it off with tiramisu - which was among the best I ever had. I highly recommend this place which many of you have probably missed over the years due to its location in a mostly industrial area. I think its one of the best italian restaurants in the county and if you factor in value it jumps the ladder a few rungs. Thanks Baronessa!

Ordered pick-up. Simply was not impressed by anything. The wait to receive the food was long. The dining room looks like they have made absolutely no adjustments for the pandemic. The food was only OK-tasting; the pizza dough was stiff and tasted unremarkable.I really wanted to say better things about the experience. Can't.

Great food! Their brunch prices are just hard to beat and their portions are dececent. They offer keto friendly options like culiflower crust pizza and zuccini noodles. I met the owner before, he showed me how they make their pasta from scratch daily. Their pizzas are pretty good if you are into thin gourmet pizza. I highly recommend it.

Ordered the pasta verde and a ceasar salad. The homemade pasta was delicious and the dressing on the salad was amazing...has a hint of horseradish (I think). The others at the table had seafood with wine and garlic sauce and manicotti and both enjoyed. A note..they must make great pizza as lots of folks were picking up carryout and leaving with multiple boxes.
