For lunch, I wanted to get away from "Business" food at steakhouses and the likes. Drove down to this Korean restaurant 10 miles away and enjoyed it a lot. My favorite was the marinated short ribs and (Soon Doo Boo) spicy tofu beef soup. One sip instantly clears my sinuses. After two spoonfuls my head begins to tingle. It comes bubbling to the table. You can crack an egg into it and let it cook a bit. I like to let the whites cook and then break the yolk into the broth which elevates the creaminess. Usually, whenever I'm in the mood for Soondubu (Korean soft tofu soup) I pick a spot in Annandale! Now, I have a place in Rockville. Both similar to Soondubu I had at in Korea. Besides typical dishes from tofu, the restaurant also serves other traditional Korean dishes such as bulgogi, bibimbap, hotpot, ramen and stewed fish. I took a star away for the cold restaurants, the waitress had to turn on a heating fan for me. Also, I did not receive two out of the 5 sides that comes with the $22 plus lunch special.

Eggs were burnt. Soondooboo was extremely salty. Small water bottles are $1 each. This place has gone downhill so far from what it used to be.

This place is my favorite. I visit many restaurants but here I keep coming back again and again. The stuff is very friendly and the cuisine they cook is so delicious. I would always prefer to have a decent meal here. I recommend this place with pleasure.

Lighthouse Tofu is definitely a gem. The food is delicious. Currently during COVID, there's limited seating to 25% capacity and they have the option for take out. Today we ordered the beef short ribs, Japche, and the beef seafood tofu soup and wow! Everything was very tasty and fresh and we loved everything we ordered. I've read this place is closing but I hope it doesn't because it's such a gem of a place and the food is delicious. Even the kimchi sides were good. There was a radish, some bean spouts, traditional cabbage kimchi and another radish type. It was not spicy at all but very tasty. We definitely would come here again and would recommend people to give this place a try.

Love their tofu soup, and galbi combo. A little pricey, but food is good. I will come back often.

We heard this place was closing (not sure if it is?), so we raced to order. We were incredibly pleased with our orders. We got seafood pancake, steamed egg, bulgolgi with noodles, mushroom tofu soup, and beef tofu stew. It was all super delicious. The side dishes were generous. The bulgolgi with noodles weren't too oily and were super tasty, as was the stew. But what impressed us the most was how savory and fantastic the mushroom tofu soup was. It was super flavorful, which is hard for a vegetarian soup. All in all, we were very impressed. This is probably our go to Korean restaurant from now on if it's not closed!

(January 2020)I have no idea why this is called Light House Tofu and BBQ. There is nothing to do with a lighthouse and I didn't see any bbq, but tofu is on the menu. Regardless, this is an excellent place.Due to covid, Montgomery County has shut down dining inside restaurants. So, we got our orders to go and ate in the car, in the parking lot. We selected a beef bibimap and pork bibimap dish.Although I had been to this place once before, I thought it a good idea to bring my partner. And even though we ate in the car, we both agreed the food is excellent! We are certainly looking forward to visiting in person, when we can experience the full menu and experience. This was about $15 per person-- well worth it. Lots of parking.

Lighthouse tofu has both the best bimbap (beef rice bowl) and sodobu (awesome tofu soup) I've had in the area. They have a generous spread of different free kimchi appetizers. They are also super nice. Please support them during covid with a takeout order. They did a great job packaging mine.

This is my absolute favorite Korean restaurant. Everytime I go there I always get the beef soon dubu and it is always amazing! I have many good memories eating there with family and friends over the years. The staff is also insanly nice :) The staff and owner always welcome me as though we are old friends. It really is a special place :)

Reasonably priced, the tofu soup always hits the spot. I recommend the pork/beef combo in spicy.

Food was good. We ordered their pork kimchi tofu soup pot and the seafood pancake. The soup was good but it tasted more like regular kimchi soup and I wish that they would give out more meat since it costs more than $35. We got like 7 pieces of meat. And the pancake was more floury then meat too. I understand that it might be hard for businesses during the pandemic but the food is expensive!! Food already taste good and I just hope that they can work on the meat portion

Yesterday was our first time in this magnificent restaurant. But It is absolutely not the last time. We had great time with the excellent service, with the first-rate meal and fine drinks and with the comfortable cost. We will surely come back soon.
