The poutine was very mediocre—a watery gravy with little flavor and undercooked fries. The desserts were terrible—we took a bite and threw them away. I don’t know how this place has so many good reviews. We drove from VA to eat here and were incredibly disappointed.

I ordered with the name Jonathan, a walk-in. The jerk chicken was disappointing

Do y'all know what poutine is? Get your mind out the gutter, it's fries with cheese curds, & gravy pored on top!! A Canadian dish!! I've had it before, AND I found a spot that specializes in it! Let's GO!! . Where I am: @popup_poutine . Location Reviewed: 12712 Rock Creek Mill Rd., Suite 16 AA Rockville M.D. . Menu Includes: *See Website* . Items Reviewed: Their Poutine (with hand cut fries, housemade gravy, & cheese curds $14). STAMP!! Classic, a MUST TRY!! Their D.C. Mumbo Fries (with house made mumbo sauce drizzled over fried chicken breast on top of house cut fries, & shredded cheddar $16). STAMP!! Juicy well fried chicken, tasty mumbo...eat quickly!! Their Peruvian Poutine (With stir fry Lomo Saltado-sirloin, onions, tomatoes, fries, cheese curds, & Poutine gravy $17). DELICIOUS. Their Fried Cheese Curds (Just what it says with sriracha mayo $8). STAMP!! Fried to perfection, & cheesy!! Their Fried Chicken Sandwich (with l.t.o, pickles, special sauce, & twice fried chicken $13). LIKE THAT!! Crispy, buttery, juicy!! Their Tex Mex Bowl (with chicken, avocado, queso blanco, pico de gallo, mixed greens, crema, & rice $13.50). DELICIOUS. Everything is here, but i needed some flavor!! Their Misir Wot (Vegan, with Red lentils, niter kibbeh spicy sauce, a clarified butter infused with herbs and spices, and berbere a fiery red chili blend $10.95) DECENT. A tad bit bland, I needed some kick to this. Their Korean Bulgolgi Beef (with a pan fried marinated beef, Bulgolgi sauce, & rice $14.95). LIKE THAT!! Surprisingly tasty!! Well marinated beef made the rice good!! . Online Navigation: Easy . Customer Service: On Point!! . Parking: DECENT!! . Recommendations: Get the curds, & classic Poutine!! . The meat used in the Jerk chicken is one the fattiest chickens i've ever tasted. They also don't honor the bogo offers they put up on uber

We found this miracle on french fries tucked away like any treasure should be. I CAN NOT express how amazing this truly is. This is a 40-minute drive for us, and I would happily make the trip on a big wheel if it meant I got to go here. It's a must try.

Crispy fresh fries + squeaky homemade cheese curds + smoky house sauce + imported tender Canadian meat = poutine heaven. This place is also run by a kind, passionate, and hardworking small-business owner. Thank you for the wonderful food and hospitality! You have the best poutine in the area no doubt - we will be back. ?

That Montreal Smoked meat sandwich & the mustard was perfectly done.It tasted like a 'Shopsy' from Toronto & it was corned beef brisket. A good amount of lean meat with perfect amounts of fat for flavor The French fries were good too!I want to order more.

This place was everything I hoped for and more. The owner had such a warm and inviting personality. The food-DELICOUS!!! Everything is made to order. However, we only had to wait about 10 to 15 minutes for a large order poutine, one chicken rice bowl and a bulgolgi rice bowl. Everything was so so good. The fries for the poutine were hot and crispy, they gave us the sauce on the side so the fries wouldn't be soggy when we unpacked them at home. The rice bowls had the perfect amount of sauce to go with each spoonful of rice and chicken. Also, my chicken rice bowl was only 8$ and it was huge and came with a drink. The leftovers make for another amazing meal:). They gave us the most delicious dessert on the house. If the pictures don't speak for themselves, then I say with confidence this is my new favorite place for some great poutine and bowls. Thank you so so much for a great meal!!! ?

Of the few local places that sell poutine, this is the best. It does not get 5 stars for a couple of reasons, but for poutine, THIS is it.I've also tried their other entity, the rice bowls. I had their Butter Chicken before but unfortunately, its mediocre at best. Things that drop the rating down slightly. Hours. They're operating hours at their store are short. They're only open Monday to Friday until 3 pm. Pricing. While their poutine is amazing, it is still fries, cheese and gravy. At $14.00, its a little high. Their location is not really convenient. Its back behind an office complex. And 3rd, its nothing but a kitchen. There is like a small table inside and one outside if you want to eat there, but its not conducive to eatingThe pro again, is the best poutine in the local area.

I lived in Canada for 3 years and fell in love with poutine and the double doubles from Tim Horton’s..This place is the real deal authentic Canadian poutine I’ve missed for years, one could say I was getting close to killing for a good poutine and thankfully after discovering this place in Rockville. I don’t have to.The easiest way to explain how amazing it was is to say… after my visit, I’ve rediscovered religion

The food truck guy at Sugar Loaf Mountain Winery is super rude. He had me begging for ketchup and mustard on my hotdogs!

This place is now called "Taste of Montreal" AND "Rice Around the World"! This was fairly close to work so I wanted to try it. It's a little mom & pop shop style - a small lobby area just for ordering and open kitchen style. The service was easy with self ordering on the iPad. I love poutine (I only had it in Canada). But however I did not get the poutine and got their Montreal Smoked Meat sandwich. The Montreal Smoked Meat is a combination of corned beef and pastrami. It went well with the mustard! The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because of the pricing. It was $15 for just a sandwich (two slices of bread, not a French bread or anything. I wasn't even full - I should've gotten the poutine! If I come back, I will try their poutine. They have traditional poutine and some specialty ones.
