“True to description, it's a cafeteria in a church basement served by nice ladies. The portions are beyond generous for the price. I got a ribs meal for 15 bucks that's a good two BIG meals for me.Ribs were so good, meat just falling off the bone. Enjoyed the yams and the greens too. Didn't have a line when I went there at 11:30 on a weekday.Recommend for soul food on the area.“
“This is my go-to choice when having lunch with friends since we gather for conversation as well as food. The back dining room is pretty quiet even when full. The bacon cheeseburger and the turkey panini were exceptional, and our server was fantastic. We lingered for 2+ hours and never felt rushed. Parking is easy and the setting is attractive. The lunch crowd skews older together with groups of all kinds. Large roomy bar area where I noticed several people working on their computers so this may be a place to have lunch when you need to get out of the office but still do some work.“
“We got two steak and cheeses and a turkey club after a mediocre experience in Philly trying to get a good steak and cheese. We got two can cokes and 3 sandwiches coming up to around $38 total. Let me tell you they have an extensive menu and the service is super fast and super kind ! Sadly they close pretty early but they cater to the working crowd so they are up pretty early. When we walked in we knew the food was going to be good just based off the amount of customers , the cleanliness of the restaurant, the recommendations from the owner , and how sweet everyone in there was I wish I could've showed you all pictures of the food but once we unwrapped our steak and cheeses they were gone with in seconds. Oh my gosh this is what you call redemption from traveling 2.5 hours to get one of the "best" cheesesteaks and you only needed to drive 5 min for one of the best steak and cheeses ever ! The fries were nice and pipping hot and I'm not a turkey club girl but this was soooo good. We will be back next week for another round of sandwiches.“
“The Bison chili served with a cornbread muffin and a flour tortilla was very good. Unfortunately the Mexican wedding cookie had an overpowering taste like plastic or some manufacturing chemical had leached into the cookie, to the point it was inedible. I love Mexican wedding cookies, so it was really unexpected.“
“The food isn't as good as Yahentamitsi nor is there as much selection.BUT it's much less crowded and it has real ice cream and milkshakesBeing less crowded makes the experience of eating there much more pleasant than Yahentamitsi.“
“This is one of the places to be if you want food near the museums/Mall and want to avoid the overpriced junk food from the food trucks. The buffet (priced per pound) has various mains/sides, salads, soups, and fruits. It's similar to a grocery store hot foods bar/buffet. There are also stations for Korean food, sushi, sandwiches, and more if you want something different. The food was alright, but the selection definitely doesn't live up to the "international" in its name. I wouldn't mind coming back if I'm visiting the area again and not feeling like trekking to other places.“
“I am staff at UMD and eat here at least once a week. It is a college cafeteria...but has great options for all tastes and health tendencies. I like it better than the bigger newer one on campus for its coziness and efficiency in finding what you want.“
“I admire this place! They serve sensational dishes, their menu is varied, The chef in that spot is an expert, I like very much tasting all their dishes. The food is consistently tasty, the attitude towards the customers is helpful. I often go to this place and I not even once was unhappy. I recommend it to all.“
