Rooms are mediocre, beds are terribly uncomfortable, and the walls are paper thin. I honestly had the worst night sleep here, I woke up around 3 by noises in the hall and couldn't go back to sleep. I was then woken up by a loud vacuum right outside the door at 9 o clock that continued until around 11. We got this hotel upon chance (hotwire) and were trying to make the most it on a Wednesday night. The casino itself was very bland and the customer service there was terrible. The hotel doesnt have many amenities either. If you absolutely have to stay here, it's a room but it's not worth the money they are asking whatsoever. There are several hotels next door with comparable prices and way better service/amenities.

Stayed here when attending a concert at the pavilion. Rooms were fine and clean enough, most staff was super helpful and friendly, and I enjoyed my clam chowder and hubs enjoyed his prime rib. Got back from the concert thinking that the restaurant would be open until 2 as was told by staff. It was closed at 11:30. Which was a bummer, as food at darlings is abysmal. Anyway, got a bottle of wine to enjoying our room, went to the front desk to inquire about using a wine key to open said bottle, front desk lady would not provide one and made me pay for one. It was only $5 but for the love of everything, I didn't even need to take it to my room, just wanted to open the bottle and go back to my room. I own plenty of wine keys I get for free. It might be petty, but definitely left a sour taste. Besides that the casino is super small, not very exciting. Between darlings being a complete joke of a venue and this "casino/hotel" being an absolute joke with simple customer service requests, I will not be returning to the Bangor area. I would rather drive out of state a few hours to see the same shows for way more bang for my buck. Ohhh. We paid almost $400 for our room. I've stayed at economy hotels that provide more for their customers.

When entering the casino you will see an admiralty flag otherwise known as a military flag of war. This negates human rights. The casino violates the UCC 1-103.6. They refused to cash chips on 3 occasions for a person who is not a US resident and did not have a TIN number. They refused to cash my chips as an American National. To beat craps you need to bet the middle board and utilize insurance. To beat roulette or flip the odds slightly in the players favor you need to bet on 19 of the numbers each time with no splits. The prime rib gives you a 4 day hangover unless that was from the drink options. The origins of the admiralty flag is slavery dating back to 1304 when Roman Pontiff Law tainted jurisdiction of sea removing human rights from people, by issuance of a papal bull known as Unam Sanctam which declared the world its slave. Congress reinstated this in HJR-192, June 6 of 1933. The little casino sent a sheriff to my residence after refusing refund to try and enslave me and take away my rights. Complete scum bags. If you need to fill out a W9 under duress, which they require for amounts under 10,000, sign V.C. then your signature. If the do not accept this sign "..." before your signature. After note UCC 1-207. These people are scum, player beware they care nothing for you or your rights. Thanks for reading. - Harmony World Wide www.gorillagrow.org. I revised binary and all computers and this entity will never have my permission to use my research until they take down that admiralty flag and fly a civil flag of peace instead.

This review is two parts- part one is the hotel - beds uncomfortable and thin walls led to being woken up after midnight for hours as the group next door hysterically laughed. Part two is for the casino ! DO NIT order mixed drink at bar in casino. Bartender will turn their back to make the pour. I am a bartender and should have spoken up. Ordered a cosmo and received a red drink lots of cranberry and lime no vodka. Shame shame shame I wish I could take my tip back.

So, we came up for a fantasy football draft weekend with some friends and we decided to make a night before of it by hitting the casino and get a room at the hotel. I will tell you that if you are expecting amazing, then you may be disappointed. But it is Bangor, ME so you cant expect Atlantic City or Mohegan or Vegas. The hotel: the room was clean but I wanted more for the price that we dished out for 200 clams. I would have thought there were so many more amenities and the customer service was much better but the woman working at the front desk of the hotel was "bothered" by the fact that I didn't know where I was going and where anything was. The casino is light with lots of slots and not many tables. The tables seem to have been placed in the middle of the slots as a last minute adjustment and were always crowded and people weren't moving. The good thing was the food at the grill in the morning for breakfast and their hospitality and caring that you were taken care of kind of helped an otherwise pretty bland stay .. it is a clean and ok hotel, a clean and ok casino and parking was plentiful. But I wanted more from my stay here ;)

I stayed at this hotel with some friends and the overall experience was alright. The rooms were clean and were pretty nice. We stayed on the 7th floor and went to a concert at the waterfront that night. My only complaints are that the room did not have a refrigerator and the buffet that was supposed to be open until 1am, was closed at 11 when we got back... Service was pretty good and the wifi was alright. 4 stars, would stay again.

We rented two rooms for a bachelorette party. We attended a concert across the street and came back to our rooms. Around 11:30 we went down to the casino to play. One of the girls in our party was denied access for "intoxication." Of all the people in our party, she drank the smallest amount tonight, two drinks at a concert across the street from 7:30-11. We went to the front desk and asked to speak to someone about this, since we spent $600 on two rooms. She immediately became rude and defensive saying "I can't do anything or give you a refund," which we said is fine, we would like to speak to a manager. Big surprise, the same man who denied our friend access showed up. He said "we don't disclose our intoxication policy's." That was that. No answers. No explanation. Absolutely ridiculous. After spending $600 on rooms we will not be back and will be sure to share our experience with others. Ridiculous. Between the denial and the crappy customer service, a completely rip off.

Ordered a simple country scramble and asked for no cheese. Wait staff gave off the impression I was interrupting their day by asking them to cook me the meal. After the cook got done talking to someone for 8-10 minutes, he then started the meal. The scramble was about to be delivered when I heard the chef say "oh shoot I forgot you didn't want cheese. He then said he could make another, but being at this point, we were already running late, we took it. No real sign of customer service and the food was not anything to write home about.

Room was nice, I wish there was a mini fridge tho and no hair dyer, glad I brought mine just Incase. Staff was great. On the casino side, drinks were expensive and very weak. Not really worth it. But the black jack dealers were awesome a lot of fun. Mike and Sam were hilarious!!

Hotel is now charging a $10 per night "amenity fee" that was not disclosed when making the reservation over the phone nor on the confirmation email. Front desk staff stated this fee is listed on the website but I didn't see it. Website is not user friendly when making a reservation as it asks for payment information yet is not entirely clear whether your card will be charged immediately or if it is just to hold the room. Amenity fee covers bottled water, WiFi and who knows what else. These things used to be free. Suggestion would be to increase the room rate $10 per night rather than surprise guests with a hidden fee. I understand casinos customarily charge a resort fee but Hollywood Casino is closer to Motel 6 than Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun. Rooms are adequate and the hotel is close to events at the Cross Center or waterfront but that's all this place has going for it.

Waitress problem on casino floor. Always has. Always will. Complained to Mgr many times. They don't want to fix.

Save yourself the trouble. No fun. ME isn't the place to gamble. Can't get a drink in the 99 Hops House. Apparently we were having too much fun. Only stayed here to go to Rib Fest. Stay away. Casino is a downer.
