I always go to Amato's in Saco, but I decided to give a Biddeford location a try even though I've heard they are awful. I called in my order ahead of time because I was picking it up on the way to work. The person I placed my order with said that it would be 15 to 20 minutes. I showed up after 30 minutes, they had given my order to somebody else and said they were remaking my order. I did not have time to wait that's why I called it in ahead. The manager was unprofessional. She was complaining behind the line to the staff telling them not to stress her out. She had absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever, even YELLED at me as I was leaving saying to "give them more time with the orders." As a person who has worked in the food industry for years, I find this to be absolutely unacceptable. They need to just close this location down at this point there's not many positive reviews.

I stopped at Amato's with an appetite after spending the day at a training workshop for work. The store was clean and the staff were very friendly. I decided to get a personal plain cheese pizza.The pizza featured a thin, crispy crust and a delicious sauce. The cheese was perfectly toasted to light brown perfection and had a pleasant, buttery taste. The personal pie was just what I needed before making the trip home. I would happily stop at Amato's again.Vegetarian options: Their menu features a few vegetarian options.

Went to Amato's for the first time for a simple quick lunch and was glad we did. I had the sausage parmigiana hot sub and it was delicious. The sausage had a fresh snap when you bit into it and a great flavor with just the right amount a fennel - a true old school Italian sweet sausage! My wife had the eggplant parmigiana hot sub and it was amazing! The flavor was the best that we've had in a long time. We'll be back and I'm getting an eggplant parmigiana dinner!

We went at dinner time in a hot night, so they were slammed. It was incredible to wait over 20 minutes for two cold subs. The trash was overflowing and there wasn't a clean table. Not how Amato's usually is! Anyway, the subs were very good!Vegetarian options: Veggie Italian sub

One of the worst places I've gotten food in a long time I go to the chicken parm dinner got home and literally was ziti with cheese on it no sauce no chicken I called manager told me to come back and mentioned what had happened I go back in and was told I could not get a credit unless I got a chicken Parm dinner which I did not manager was rude will never go back there

Go somewhere else.... The staff, especially the lady was RUDE. Yelling at a customer who went to the wrong checkout side about how that's not how they do things here. Holy moly!! The wait for 2 subs was LOOOOONG. And then we get in the car and drove off, open my sandwich and it's all wrong. Ordered a vege sub no Pickels. This had meat and pickles all over it. Ugh!!
