I ordered a California super burrito and asked if i could get chicken instead of steak. They said yes. Asked for extra sour cream as well. After picking up order it was steak with no extra sour cream so there's that.

Went here with my son's and was excited after seeing the menu. The waitress was super nice. I ordered the bistec mexicano, my son's ordered tacos el carbon and an order of carnitas. One ate an entire taco and got sick later that evening. The other took a few bites and didn't even want to take it home. My bistec was miserable. Ordered something for my wife to go and I overheard the waitress telling people the cook was real "backed up" in the kitchen. People started leaving and one had left after waiting an hour and a half for food. The waitress then began turning people away and the dining room wasn't even half full. The best thing I had here was the Pacifico beer.

I've always loved this place. A favorite of a good friend and mine, but this last time I ordered and had my food delivered. It was not the quality that I remembered. Fish tacos weren't cooked right and we're barely filled. Refried beans were salty. Very much a disappointment.

Nastiest experience at a restaurant. Dirty, smelled bad, and the food was disgusting. Bathroom was worse than any gas station one I have been in. If I could give zero stars I would. Should have known by it being a Saturday evening and only two other tables had people.

Idk if it’s just me but this “food” is horrible... maybe my standards are high due to the fact I’m from New York and thought I could find some authentic Mexican food being that it’s my favorite choice for take out In the city... BOY WAS I WRONG

I have eaten here for years and loved it- tonight I ordered a Taco Salad w/chicken ... it arrived and I did not see any chicken on top - just iceberg lettuce and melted cheese. I did take a few bites and was horrified to find stringy canned chicken on the bottom, obviously not even drained (as the canned juice seeped into the taco shell causing it to collapse into the salad). I am a adult and can’t remember ever complaining while eating out. I did complain and was told I has to pay for this disaster since I ate some.... we moved back to Maine in 2013 and loved this spot. I will NEVER return.

We were a little leery of trying this place due to some of the reviews. But were willing to give them a try because we wanted a Mexican restaurant closer by. We are glad we did because their food is delicious. The people who complained about their guacamole clearly don't know what they are talking about. It's is made different, creamy instead of raw like most restaurants and it pretty good. We have family from Texas in town and even they thought Los Tapatios' food was yummy!
