I ordered the lobster bisque and the seafood chowder.I'm not a fan of bisque as a rule because I like heartier soups. But this bisque was very rich and creamy and because of its "in your face" flavor, I suggest this bisque would be a good compliment to a entree. I understand from the chef that he thickens the bisque with a roux in case you want to know.The chowder though is more my speed. This is a a bit of a quirky a seafood restaurant in the heart of Boothbay Harbor. It's attached to the hotel that we stayed at. We had the opportunity to dine downstairs in the converted tugboat, by the bar. We even had some musical accompaniment by a local singer at the piano. We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, service, and food (including dessert).

Service was very good and so was the food. My husband had the fish fry and I had the crab cake. I tasted the fish fry and thought the fish was a little dry but my husband ate it all. The garlic fries were excellent. My crab cake was delicious, moist and fresh! We loved the view of the bay. We will be visiting again on the way out of town this weekend.
