We went on a day when they had no power all day and it had just come back. Amazing and polite people. I was surprised to find authentic Indian food in Maine !! Good portion size. The restaurant was clean with homely and calm ambience.

Went in for a late-ish dinner. The food was good and fairly priced. Plenty of parking at this time of the night on a Monday - Maine Street can get busy. I had chicken tikka and my friend had chicken tikka masala. While the chicken was a bit dry, it tasted good. We shared garlic naan. Always delicious. At one point, part of another customers order was delivered to our table. Not a huge deal. Mistakes happen and two different people apologized to us. My issue with it is merely that the food was picked up from our table - we did not eat it - and taken to the other customer. I don't know. It seems like maybe it should have been redone and then delivered to the correct customer.

We got the biryani and tikka masala for takeout, along with an order of naan. Excellent food and extremely friendly staff while we waited. We’ll be back soon!

Had lunch at Bombay Mahal yesterday. The fish curry was good. The menu did not list lunch, but I asked the waiter if the price was different for lunch, and he confirmed that it was. I also saw online here that the fish curry was $10.50 at lunch. I was surprised that my bill was $25. The waiter said he never told me it would be less for lunch. And they said the online menu was old. I won’t be going back.

I have been coming here for many years now and have seen the restaurant go through renovations and many faces come and go but the food has always been excellent. This is a small family owned business and the staff are all very friendly. If you are looking for an authentic Indian experience and meal, you don’t have to look any further than Bombay Mahal!

GREAT SERVICE!!! holy cow the food is amazing like, it's worth the price but that price is quite pricy.. go here if you want to like, have a romantic or nice night/lunch with someone (the place itself looks so cool, its awesomeeee) also, shout out to the service! everyone is super polite and knowledgable, and it just made the whole experience great (SHOUT OUT TO SAL!!!! Friendly service but extremely slow. This may be due to staffing issues and I understand it's hard for all restaurants during this era. The food was good, but very small portions for overly high prices. Nice atmosphere, though.

Have eaten here in the past and food is good however got take out tonight and the food was awful. Chicken tikka leaked everywhere in the bag and was completely overcooked. To the point we threw it out.

Their food is on point and I like the butter chicken. The portions are unfortunately very small for the price. Butter chicken is almost $20 but there are about 6 small pieces of chicken breast and a small portion of rice. No addons like I am used to. I do go here when I am craving Indian but it's EXPENSIVE, for the portion. They also get my order incorrect many times. They also don't pickup the phone often and so it's hard to order food with them. Customer service has always been pleasant. Ambiance is very traditional Indian.
