Enjoyed a lovely birthday evening at the Blue Mermaid last Thursday. Beautiful and classy decor, enjoyed the soft background piano music. The food was delicious although the oysters Rockefeller were prepared differently than I have had in our hometown province of Nova Scotia. The lamb and shrimp dinner and the King Crab dinner were superb! We also requested a taste of Pickerel, which was the special of the evening. Our waiter brought us a full filet and I have to say, the Pickerel was the star of the evening! Delicious! Thank you for making my birthday dinner so memorable!

Recently got takeout from Blue Mermaid, and it was great! Thank you for the sauce recommendation - the ghost pepper flavor this month is wonderfully spicy yet balanced.Thank you for always being a good choice for us on the nights we don't want to cook.

Besides having a large beautiful open space with nice bathrooms and a big bar things didn’t go well. We arrived and were greeted warmly but the waitress didn’t communicate well about anything leading to my friend and I leaving disappointed after she didn’t ask about salt or no to the margarita. Then forgetting to put in our appetizer order. When the entrees arrived they were lukewarm and the salad didn’t have dressing and the Rasta pasta was bland even though it was supposed to be spicy ?️. I think they need to do some training for both kitchen and waitstaff before I would go back or recommend anyone to try this place.

Had a great time tonight which included amazing cocktails(Spicy Margherita), dinner(Nam Jam Haddock) and dessert(chocolate flourless cake)!!I need to eat gluten free and there were many options. Service was great, they didn’t rush us and we enjoyed a three hour dinner, where we could relax in an open atmosphere.
Everything was excellent! We tried to go to a different restaurant, but couldn't get in . After not going to the Blue mermaid for many years we decide to give it a try. We're very happy we did. We'll definitely be back soon.

Four of us had lunch. Parking is easy. We were seated immediately. Menus selection came across as more limited than I was expecting. Service was ok. Portions are modest. They are trying to be fresh and hip but not yet there. Live music during our visit was poor and too loud. A better menu and improving food quality would make this better.

Blue Mermaid is a local favorite! All of their food is delicious- the hardest choice is deciding what to order. Their drink menu is also fantastic. In addition to beer and wine, their mocktails are great! The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly.We can’t recommend Blue Mermaid enough!
