“It's not easy to stand out in a place as rich in top-notch eateries as the greater Portland area - I thought I had seen it all, and then Trudy Bird came to town. I would have given them points just for being original, but then I tasted what they had to offer... suffice it to say, I have a new understanding of what the intersection of fine dining and comfort food looks like (hint: it's called Æbelskivers). I wouldn't be surprised to see the brothers Hines someday credited with personally making Scandanavian fare a mainstay of international cuisine in the US. Five stars - keep up the great work.“
