“We always make it to Joseph's by the Sea without fail yearly during our OOB vacation. Bonus that's it close to the house we rent. Great atmosphere inside and outside, delicious food and drinks, great service, and the best live music. Always a fun time!”
“Elevate Cafe is the beacon of greatness in a sea of sub-par tourist/vacation food.I try to find the best spots to eat whenever I visit a town that is new to me. There are just too many food businesses where quality has taken a backseat, as the business has found it's market and the owner has emotionally clocked out. When entering Elevate Cafe, I noticed the owner was there working the grill and instructing the staff. The quality of the food clearly meant something to this person. That was my hint that this could be a good spot.I ordered the bacon egg and cheese on a rosemary bagel. I can only say that it was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever eaten, and I was surprised to taste something so great in a tourist town. I ate there the following morning as well, because I was convinced that there couldn't be another place that was worth my time.I cannot wait to return to this place when I visit the area again.”
“This was a great place to eat and drink in Old Orchard. The ambience was clean and relaxed. The bartender was friendly. Coming from California, we picked this place as our first lobster roll to try in Maine and it did not disappoint! The beer was pretty good and went well with the food.”
“The pho was fabulous! It wasn't greasy/fatty. Tasted very fresh. It even smelled incredible!! They will be open year round. You have to go!! The owner was also very nice and concerned that everything was okay.”
“My new favorite place. The food is amazing. Clean, prepared well, taste great. Creative menu. Great customer service. I can't wait to try so many more dishes. Definitely worth eating here. I'm going to as often as I can!”
“They were so nice and the food was great! I got a lobster roll and the buttery roll was soo good! Prices were more than fair and even came back for breakfast, highly recommend!Vegetarian options: My brother is vegetarian and was able to find a few dishes that he enjoyed, it’s not an overwhelming amount of options but it’s enough that you can find something you can enjoyParking: Parking probably depends on the season but there were plenty of spots in the lot”
“I'm new to the area and Red Door is close to work, so I'm going often! Delicious sandwiches prepared by the nicest folks! I'm loving everything I eat here! The Reuben and the Berlin are my go to's but the soups and sides should not be skipped! Keep them on speed dial!”
“Can't say enough about what Don and Tami Lynn have done with this place! Super nice people who define themselves with professionalism, great service, and amazing food!!!”
“Excellent Pha Naeng (Panang) Curry. I get it without bell peppers with shrimp and brown rice. It is my favorite and the best in town. Crab Rangoon is superb. Vegetable dumplings taste good steamed. I don't care for the black sauce but that is personal preference. Shrimp dumplings could use improvement. I didn't care for the Pad Thai. Their 5 star scale is a true scale not Maine's 5 star bland scale.Vegetarian options: Plenty of shrimp and vegetable options.”
“Great food in a small gem on old orchard street. Authentically prepared; tasty and deliciously seasoned.Highly recommend. Margarita was excellent; not a large bowl of sour mix. Check it out.”
“Awesome spot for lobster rolls. Little expensive but they are everywhere. Not sure I'd get the quinoa bowl again but also not sure the person making mine really understand what a quinoa bowl is haha so we'll give that a pass. Spoon fulls of quinoa on lettuce isn't it. Otherwise was very good. Would absolutely go back.”
“This is one of my favorite places. Definately favorite Hispanic oriented food in Maine. I love how the food isn't drenched in salt!! I order cheese quesadillas and chips with queso plus extra pico. The pico is always fresh. I wish they carried Shrimp quesadillas. Love me some shrimp.”
“?The owner is such a sweetie!. He takes pride in his restaurant, food and clients! My husband and I were visiting from Canada and craved to try our first Philly steak and cheese, we followed our noses to this amazing restaurant! The owner greeted us with a smile, we felt so welcome by him. He let us try some grilled chicken he had for free, was it ever amazing (I’ll order this my next trip down ? ?)We ended up ordering his Special Philly Steak & Cheese, he grilled us up the tastiest lunch we’ve ever had. Loaded with AAAA quality beef and cheese / tons of bell peppers and onions. ???The price was perfect too, we were full and happy afterwards! Really wonderful experience . ☺️I 100% recommend anyone who wants a taste of heavenly food to not give this a second thought, just go! I promise you will not be disappointed. ? I can’t wait to return and bring my friends here!Kid-friendliness: It’s a safe area and it’s perfect for adults with childrenParking: Parking near by.Wheelchair accessibility: Yea there isDietary restrictions: They have options for vegetarians / salads”
“Every time I come up to Old Orchard Beach, my family and I stop here! It's no frills, but a solid, straightforward meal. Everything is reasonably priced with portions that will leave you full. Once you walk in, you feel like you've been transported back in time. Old school decor, your classic American restaurant. On the menu, they have an option for a 3-course meal. They have various options to choose from for a fixed price! It's great . My only complaint about it is that they used to have steamers as an option for an appetizer in the fixed 3 course meal, and it is no longer included. I decided on clam chowder, Caesar salad, and stuffed shrimp. I enjoyed the salad, and the stuffing for the shrimp was buttery and rich, but the clam chowder was terrible. No flavor at all and extremely watery broth. Would never get that again. Overall, enjoyable sit down, family restaurant, and will be back next year!”
“Got the “OOB” omelette (Western). Huge breakfast and great coffee—they even offered a coffee to go. Super friendly staff. Next time we’re back at Old Orchard Beach we’ll be sure to be back.”
