I'm updating this as I've been to Amatos manyl times since I posted the first review. I've upped the stars to 3 from 4 because I've had several things that I hadn't had there before and they were all very enjoyable. One thing I definitely appreciate is that with very little exception, the food is consistant from one Amatos to the next. It's nice to know that when I'm on the road and it's too late to make something for supper, I can find an Amatos and get something and know that, if it's not where I usually get it, it will be just as good as where I bought it the first time. Thank you, Amatos. It's fast Italian food on the fly. It's definitely a step (or even two) over McD's, BK's, Wendys, etc. Italians plus other hot & cold sandwhiches, salads plus a nice selection of Italian dinners makes it a good choice for singles or familes or any group in-between.

Wonderful sandwiches that my 77 year old husband misses a LOT living in the Midwest. Atmosphere can't get a 5 star rating because you can't eat them there. It's how they've mostly done it AND I'm guessing it's so staff and give 100% focus on making the best Italian sandwich possible. Did you know, they will SHIP them to any place in the country if you can afford it? Hope to go there again multiple times when visiting in the area!!?

Blah. Might as well hear up a frozen pizza. Maybe some of the non-pizza options are good? But pass on the pizza.

I recommend "The Real Italian" sandwich. No matter what this type of sandwich is named across the US, the one Amato's makes is by far the best.

Forgot to post my yummy lobster roll! This location is the best when it comes to their lobster roll. Not that much mayo like the other locations.

I read some of the other reviews, and there were a lot of Getting orders wrong. This has happened to me in the past & I thought I had a way to not have it happen.I started having the Cashier read the order back to me, which I did today and I didn't get what I ordered.. I ordered a Chicken Salad Sandwich with no lettece which I do quite often, and that's what she read back to me.What I got was a Chicken Salad Italian with all the vegetables. She read it back to me correctly, but rang it in wrong.Charged me for an Italian. There's got to be a way to reduce the errors.
