They only had one lady working so it took quite a long while to get the ice cream and because she was alone she didn’t have time to update the available flavors. The ice cream tastes good but the spoons are very bendy and I can’t lift my ice cream out of the cup.Hi replying to the reply; I went to beals on veranda st. There was only one girl working and she even apologized as she was the only one who was working. She was nice but definitely the only person working around 5:30 when I went.

Mean portions and ice shards! We have been to quite a few ice cream places over the spring and summer and this place had by far the least generous portions. Also, my wife found shards of ice in hers. I mean I know it’s ice cream but I don’t think you’re supposed to have actual ice in it! We obviously won’t be back to this way below average place.

...well... Sunday summer evening - out of vanilla and French vanilla... last week out of strawberry.. it's a neighborhood walk-up that we like and have gone to forever but has become a running joke as to what flavors will be available...

Portland Veranda Street. Worst customer service and extremely over priced sub par ice cream. Employees acted like we were putting them out by ordering and then we were charged $10 for a small sundae with stale waffle cone pieces.

This was the most unpleasant experience I’ve ever had at an ice cream place. My family interacted with all 3 ladies working this afternoon and each of them was rude. They were out of vanilla soft serve and almost annoyed I even ordered it, then the cashier rolled her eyes and laughed out loud at my grandmother when she asked what was in the whoopie pie ice cream (we just moved here and have no idea). Her response after the laugh was “vanilla ice cream with whoopie pie”. We ordered something else. The total was then $18.50 for 3 single scoops of ice cream (insane) to which all 3 ladies made fun of us for questioning if they had charged us the correct amount. We then sat at a dirty table while the employees sat down on stools inside the service window. The owners either know their employees have zero customer service skills and don’t care or they haven’t bothered to train them. There is no reason to treat customers this poorly.

Very good ice-cream but to pricey a kid cone with one scoop was $5 plus tax
My daughter and I both ordered 2 scoops. They gave me only 1 scoop in my dish. It was the exact size and shape of the scoop on the bottom of my daughter's dish and then she had a whole second scoop the same size on top. There was no question that I was missing a scoop. No big deal, mistakes happen. I nicely told the girl that mine was missing a scoop. She said "I'm not the one that got it" and walked off. Another girl eventually came near the window so I told her. She stared at me for 10 full seconds with the dumbest look on her face. Then, she looked around like she had no idea where she was. Then, she went back to what she was doing before. I stayed at the window and didn't say anything. The first girl finally put a scoop in another dish and THREW it on the counter and walked away with so much attitude. They messed up and simply needed to fix it, yet they couldn't comprehend the simple situation and then had a hissy fit about it.

Don't waste your time going to this location, go to the one in town Portland instead. Customer service here is pretty terrible. We were given the wrong ice cream, cashier was very unenthusiastic and kind of rude, and the staff barely acknowledged us. We also got the wrong ice cream flavors than what we asked for. Overall poor experience. The ice cream is generally pretty tasty, and the service at the location in town is much better.

Would love to see their beautiful hair pulled back away from the ice cream as they scoop.

Some of the most delicious ice cream I’ve had! Was super expensive ($15 for two cones!) but worth it.

The place was well located and they have wide varieties of homemade Icecream. Blueberry was my favorite!
