Umm, yeah, ice cream, heck yeah it was good! And a sweet treat to go along with that delicious ice cream! Perfect spot to top off our evening!

We love Captain Sam's ice cream! It'll be busy during the summer, but it's always worth the wait!

I can't tell you if this ice cream is good or not because we were standing in line for 15 minutes and when we got to the door we waited outside a bit to not cross the space inside with COVID happening. Then, an employee comes up to and closes the door in our face and puts a sign that says that they are taking a break and will be back in 30 minutes... literally does this in front of our faces when there's still a line out the door and we've been waiting for a long time... that is NOT the way to handle this situation. If they are going to take a break, they should tell the lady person in line that they are the last person and tell new people that come that they will be taking a break after that person... they should not be closing the door on someone's face. This was outrageous, unprofessional, and disrespectful.

Captain Sams saved the day after a very disappointing meal at Gilbert's down the way. There's not a lot to say here -- the ice cream is above average, dare I say good. Location, location, location I guess but also the captain and crew are scooping up fine ice cream near the water.Only criticisms are that it was crazy hot in that store and being crowded only made it worse. The heat and combination of leaving the ice cream freezer doors open made some of the ice cream more melty than it should have been. I like my ice cream frozen hard only to warm up as I see fit. Also it became a big mess for a toddler but who doesn't love cleaning hands and faces on the street?7/10, Would return.

Big servings for the price. Really enjoyed the sea biscuit, enough to come back two days in a row! No samples allowed

There are a surprising amount of ice cream choices in Portland.... This was a decent choice. We waited in line a bit to get the goods, but they had a good variety of flavors and my mini sundae was tasty. It's worth the wait!

We stopped in one night after a subpar dinner experience -- and were very happy with the ice cream cones we got. My teen son enjoyed it so much - he wanted to go back again another night we were in town. Reasonable prices (which is unusual in Portland) for good ice cream. Recommended.

Really horrible experience. Do not go here. The staff was rude and unwelcoming. They yawned in our faces and looked miserable. They have some unusual flavors and when we asked to try one they said "no, we don't do that" ....weirdest ice cream place ever. It smelled like sour milk and looked unclean. Find somewhere else to spend your money.

Waffle cone with sea biscuit and blueberry! Great shop with plenty of flavors

Best ice cream in town, hands down. I wish the overall flavor assortment was better but what I tried was very good both times.

BIG scoops. They have a flavor called "Sea Biscuit"...it doesn't taste like a horse (Dad Joke)

Ice cream was creamy and not too sweet. I got the Sea Biscuit, which was vanilla ice cream with Biscoff cookies (cinnamon coffee cookies often served on American Airlines). It was great! Others in our group got floats- root beer, vanilla cream, and strawberry. Everyone loved it!

No pictures sorry Icecream is very tastee and reasonably priced. Accommodating to people with allergies. Only down thing, when they are busy the employees seem to not have a lot of patience with the customers. Can't wait to go back!

This ice cream is so thick and rich. I have never had to chew ice cream before. I had salty caramel, others in my party had coconut chip and black raspberry. All were great. Wonderful way to end the evening.
