Cool spot, got a vintage feel to the place. Beer selection is good but they didn’t have the one beer I wanted from the menu unfortunately. Didn’t try the food but it looked good. Bathroom is crazy tiny.

Super cozy booth/benches. Food came out quickly. Smash burger and fried chicken sammi rocked. Our server/bartender Anthony was super attentive and nice.

I started with the cease and desist tequila cocktail, it was a well balanced and delicious. We had the mussels, cob salad and the French dip. The mussels were huge and the sauce was incredible. The bacon on the cob salad was amazing and the hand cut fries are a must have. Our bartender, Tonya, was friendly, efficient and made beautiful cocktails.

It's a little disappointing. I've been to a lot of Public House establishments. My favorite ones are in Old Town Murietta, California, and Temecula, California. These establishments serve up good food, usually local, good drinks, and the items are generally house created, and the menu changes every few months. I gave this place a shot. I ordered oysters on the half and fish chowder. I'm in Portland, Maine, so my expectations were high. The oysters were very disappointing. They were delicious, but if there were a legal size limit on oysters, I'd see a violation of too small. They were tiny. I guess they carry different types, I just had the little ones. The haddock chowder was another disappointment. Don't put grilled bits of potato in haddock chowder. Obrien potatoes belong with bacon and eggs. Not New England chowder. The service was good. I'll definitely give it another go. Because the burgers look really good, and there's live music every night.

Great food and drink. They need to work out their late night scene though. I've seen the bouncers there get violent to someone who didn't pose a threat. Last time I checked, that's called assault and battery.

From the website, it looks to be a cozy whiskey bar great for conversation with friends. In fact, on a recent Sunday night visit, the place turned out to be a crowded noisy bar with loud music causing patrons to yell to companions. At our table, fish & chips was ordered which turned out to be a good choice. Another person ordered Caesar salad and that was a huge disappointment. It wasn't so much a salad as quarter-wedges of Romaine lined up on a platter with a kind of mayonnaise slathered across the top of each wedge, then sprinkled with grated cheese and bread crumbs, with a whole anchovy adorning the top of one wedge. Might've made an unusual presentation, but it was dry and definitely required a knife to eat. Their whiskey selection may be large but they did not have a brand requested by one our number. The cocktail list was limited. In all, a disappointing experience that left our ears ringing. Doubt that a return visit is in the cards.

When I entered the door, the bouncer grabbed my jogger pants for a while and then said "I guess that's fine, but normally we don't allow ski pants". Whole place filled with frat bros. Bad drinks. Rude staff. Owned by Josh Miranda who seems to be buying up whatever he can and turning it into Instagram hangouts for kids from Connecticut

Really sad about Henry's! When they first opened, I could confidently say it was some of the best pug food around. My husband loved the steak and as a big steak eater he thought it was the best in town! The salad dressing was also really lovely! I can appreciate the rotating menu, but you have taken some great things off the menu. Fast forward to now.... We have gone 3 times in the past month, and it has taken a huge turn! rumor has it they have a new chef? Well, it really shows! Big bummer! Drinks are great but man the food is suffering. Service is usually really great!

For Portlanders who've lived in this city for a while: Henry's Public House feels like Bull Feeney's grew up and got a makeover. And there's nothing wrong with that! But you should set your expectations accordingly. When we visited on an early Saturday afternoon, there was a constant stream of twenty-somethings coming in and immediately running up the stairs while the staff shouted, "We're not open upstairs yet! Please wait to be seated!" It felt like they never got the memo that this venue has changed. The cocktails are good, but that's to be expected from this proprietor. My partner had the Cherry Coke Negroni and it was okay - more mezcal forward than bourbon; I had the Green Snapper (gin, snap pea, tarragon, grapefruit, and soda) and it was very good! Refreshing, light, and a solid choice for when it's hot out/you're hot from wearing too many layers when it's cold out (side note: is it just me, or does there seem to be a lack of hooks here? I haven't been to a place in a while where I had nowhere to put my jacket or bag)! There's not much on the menu that's vegan, but the enormous side of house cut green thumb french fries are. And they were also very good! Salty on the outside, soft on the inside, and a much bigger potion at the same price than I've had at other places (looking at you, Woodford F&B). Cheers to the staff who also willingly double-checked that our cocktails AND fries were vegan (omitting the dijonnaise without us even needing to ask).

We had a reservation for 7 people on a Saturday night. We found street parking (which is free after 6pm). They had our seats ready and got us right in on time. When we asked about separate checks we were told that the check could only be split a maximum of 6 ways. Not a huge deal, two of us paired up but that's good info for a big party to know. There was a great drink menu to choose from. I settled for a cosmo and a few others ordered the Cease and Desist. No complaints about the taste but I do think at $14 a pop, both should have been filled closer to the top. My friend and I shared the mussels as an app. The sauce didn't really set into the mussels at all so they tasted rather basic. The best part of the dish was the toasted pieces of bread that came with it. They sopped up the juices and had a nice buttery crunch to them. I tried a bite of a friend's stuffed dates and wish I had gotten my own. They were awesome! For my meal I had the French onion soup and a side of broccolini. The veggies were nicely charred and seasoned. My soup was nice and hot with plenty of cheesy goodness melted atop a layer of crouton. All in all, we had some yummy food and timely service. I'd be happy to return and try more dishes.

A very cozy environment in this pub-style restaurant. Great service and some nice choices on the menu. We loved the stuffed dates as an appetizer. Our only complaint was that the lovely tables by the windows were freezing. Hopefully heat will be added to this area in the future.

Cozy place but it wasn’t as hip as we expected. DJ was ok but no one was dancing. Drinks are expensive.
