The food was so good! We had the potato pancakes with salmon, the spatzle, and the fish goulash. All were excellent. We also took advantage of the byob policy. Great food, great service. I will definitely go back the next time I am in Portland.
Like eating in the home of a German couple...small hole in the wall...generous portions...amazing bread. Every food item a slam dunk. I believe it to be one of the best restaurants in Portland.

Excellent! Favorite restaurant in Portland. Delicious, nourishing comfort food. BYOB. Everything is always fresh and tasteful-- have dined here several times and tried most of the menu. Homey atmosphere and friendly, gracious hosts. What a special place. Thank you!
