“Creative and modern. Small dishes so you can try lots of dishes. And you’ll want to. Every dish finished before delivery by chef. Every plate was awesome. Wish the crust for bread under tuna was thinner. Tough.”
“Great atmosphere, friendly and attentive service, and delicious food the potion doesn’t reflect the premium, however. If food portion was 30% more, it would be 5-star.The lobster toast is a must have but 3 small bites is $17 or $22 with governments tax , restaurant appreciation tax and tip”
“No frills and some of the best oysters I've ever had. Snow Island was a perfect balance of briny and sweet. Clam chowder is solid it's a little bit more like a bisque but they cooked the potatoes perfectly for a soup.”
“The food looks delicious and that’s why we came here. However, when we arrived around 1:05 pm, the lady at the entrance was very rudy and told us we couldn’t dine in without being in the waiting list. It’s not what she said, it’s the way she said it.-Restaurant reached out to me in the nicest way and apologized for the situation about the host. I will be giving them a try soon as the food looks fantastic. Looking forward to it.”
“We had a wonderful dinner at Isa Bistro. The food was simply delicious & reasonably priced. Portions were good. Nice selection of Wines, Cocktails and beer. The ambiance is cozy yet refined. Excellent customer service!! This will be one of our new go to restaurants.”

“This restaurant was amazing! From the service to the oysters to the brussel sprouts (yum!) to the gluten free, dairy free brownie. We went here on a recommendation from a local and we were incredibly impressed.”
“This is a really nice place with really great food, and the staff is so welcoming it just creates an astonishingly enjoyable atmosphere. Would give ten stars per category if I could. Drove up all the way from Texas just for lobster and this place did not dissappoint! Definitely worth the visit.”
“One word : Amazing Beautiful warm vibe Excellent food Excellent staff Free parking out back : ) Cannot say enough about how you have to experience Fore Street ( if you can score a Rez)”

“Where do I start?? I completely enjoyed my experience at Scales from start to finish. They came recommended by two completely different people (a resident and someone who frequents the area) so after the second time hearing the name, it was settled. I had to try it. We had a short wait in the lounge area for the dining room to open and had a drink. The Lavender Haze with the pea flower infused gin was fantastic; Woke my taste buds right up! Our waitress was incredibly helpful and graciously answered all of my 784 questions to help us settle on what to order (everything sounded so amazing, I couldn’t decide). We settled on the grilled octopus for the appetizer and while in Maine, I HAD to get lobster. I have no regrets!! Everything we tried was phenomenal. After seeing other tables order the scallops, I would’ve loved to try them too but had absolutely no room left. I can say this was the best meal I’ve had in a very long time. When in Portland, Maine EAT AT SCALES!!”
“I tried many ice cream shops in this town but the best scoop goes to this shop with Maine blueberry cobbler. The other flavors I tried were not as good as this single flavor so if you go, just get the cobbler, it's delicious. Across the street there is another fabulous place which has real Italian gelato which actually have decided is higher quality since all of their flavors are superb, but this blueberry cobbler one took my heart as the top contender flavor in Portland.”
“Of all the bakeries and coffee shops my husband and I tried on our trip to Portland, Tamdem was our favorite! The Americano was delicious and the salted coconut maple scone was one of the best I've ever had with the perfect crunchy texture on the outside and soft inside. I also tried the blood orange scone, which tasted a bit pithy to me. There was a line at 11:00 on a Saturday, but it moved quickly and there was plenty of seating outside.”

“We sat at the chef's bar to watch the kitchen action and opted to pick out 4 vegetarian options from the menu. The portions were generous for 2 people. If you are a big eater and like to take home leftovers, you can choose the Chef's tasting menu, because it is difficult to choose from all the menu options. Each dish was so tasty, with layers of robust flavor & texture. The food is very rich and while we couldn't eat like this every day, we thoroughly enjoyed every option we chose. Simple but creative dishes. We also savored an absolutely decadent chocolate dessert, craft beer & an alcohol free cocktail. The music was a great addition to the overall vibe, and the restaurant set up is unique and bar-style downstairs. I'm glad we close to sit on the ground floor and watch the action. There is also an option to sit at a table upstairs in the mezzanine. We plan to return to try other menu options. A unique dining experience. Very nice, attentive staff.”
“This place is an absolute must go to restaurant in Portland. The atmosphere is very cozy, at least in the space and the lighting, but super hip. They play lots of dancey, fun music, which wasn’t deafening or obnoxious but just added to the great vibe. They have lots of great options, all smaller plates which makes it so much fun to share with whoever you’re with. We got the garlic edamame, bacon mochi, the cabbage pancake (I forget the official name, forgive me), and the udon. Every bite was perfect, and the service was awesome. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was super attentive despite being busy. The cocktail menu is also fantastic! Definitely worth trying at *least* one.”
“The food at Hunt and Alpine is always amazing and the cocktails are consistently the best I have had. Nothing on the drink menu jumping out at you? Tell them what you like and they will surprise you. We go there multiple times per trip and never get tired of it.”

“Really super delicious! My husband is from the middle east and this meal was homey and amazing to celebrate his birthday. We are definitely hard critics when it comes to middle eastern food and this exceeded our expectations. Perfect balance of flavors not too overpowering spices but not bland by any means. Probably our new favorite spot for pita pockets and will definitely be back often. Also a great price point and a good amount of food. Cant say enough good things! Happy to have found them on instagram to give a try. Thank you for helping me give my man a great birthday lunch! ?”
“Definitely should have looked at the menu before entering. However, felt obligated to stay once we realized how many employees were standing and staring at us as soon as we walked in. No shortage of attention. The bartender was friendly and attentive, but no cocktails struck our fancy. Other than chartreuse.Oysters and cod cheek were tasty.Atmosphere wasn’t as expected for a tavern, but I could see this being an amazing stop.”

“This is a great up and coming restaurant in Portland. They have a few minor details to work on, but overall a very good experience. The wait staff is clearly working on Michelin style service techniques including uniform plate setting at tables, napkin etiquette, and plate presentation. Our waiter was overall good, but a bit cold and stand-offish. The menu has some great local ingredients, but it seems like they are trying too hard to get the buzz words in the menu. For example I enjoyed the Cauliflower Gratin and the menu description included local uni and lobster. The flavors of the cauliflower and the sauce were strong and really overwhelmed the delicate flavor of local uni to the point that the uni just took a back seat. The dry aged duck was wonderful and the aging process truly brought a unique texture and moistness to the duck. I also sampled the Atlantic cod dish which had a delicious broth, but was served with charred union which just did not match the delicate flavors of the broth. Overall a very good experience and worth a visit. I expect they will only get better with time.”

“Quick update: I highly recommend Miyake as a place to stop in for lunch, too! It's a quieter vibe than dinner, so perfect for grabbing a seat at the sushi bar. There are bento box lunch specials and chef's choice sushi and sashimi, or you can order rolls from the lunch menu; I had a wonderful red snapper ceviche roll and of course, their wonderful miso soup!”

“My Fiance and I came here for my birthday dinner and we were very impressed. We started off with the Meatballs and the Sourdough bread didnt lack in flavor and got us more excited for our entrees. Our server Rich was very knowledgeable about the menu and wines. We ordered the gnocchi and bolognese both were amazing the flavor combinations meshed and had our taste buds bouncing. We ordered the panna cotta, tiramisu, and another dessert with waffle cones and espresso and all 3 were spectacular!”

“We had our welcome party here the day before our wedding and it was wonderful! Rebecca was so easy to work with and made the whole process a breeze. Everyone had such a great time and the staff did an awesome job serving over 100 guests.”
“Amazing experience. We called to make reservations the day of and they were fully booked but told us we could try as a walk-in so we did. We were very lucky they had three seats available at the bar when we showed up at 7:30pm. The bartender was very friendly and really made sure we had everything we needed. We started with a special for our appetizer, a cod fish mashed potato spread and it was DELICIOUS! My daughter has the seared tuna and she loved it. My husband had the linguini and clams and it was very flavorful. The portions were also pretty generous. My swordfish was also cooked to perfection. We would definitely return. The bar is in a big open lounge area so it was a nice setup. And everyone was very friendly.”
“Great coffee, great food, beautiful building, awesome atmosphere. I did the morning special woth coffee with they insured was always filled, a bloody Mary with was delicious, and a choice of an entrepreneur which was also scrumptious.”
“Imagine a cold, damp April night in Portland Me. Not to difficult right? Solo is a warm, cozy spot that always makes you feel like you are a welcomed friend. The Pizza bruschetta is amazing and the lamb chops are amazing. We go to Solo a lot. All they need is a fireplace. Fantastic in so many ways!”

“Phenomenal!!! A must visit. Cocktails and food far exceeded expectations. Atmosphere amazing and service staff in speak easy portion outstanding. Will be back next time we are in Portland.Parking: Parked in garage near back entrance, very convenient. 7$ per hour.”
“They should rename this place "Cheers of the North". I've never been to such a welcoming and hospitable spot. The Thai pizza is outstanding. The tacos are even better. Beers are all great and you can tell that Jeff, the brewmaster, puts a ton of effort and attention into the beers. The space is super cozy and inviting. Like hanging out at a close friend's house. Every time I'm up here I try to make it my first and last stop. I found out this time they have an AirBnB on site called "The Brewhouse" cannot wait to stay there next time I'm up.”

“Staff is super friendly every time I come in or drive through. Service is fast and accurate. Food is pretty good as far as Burger King food goes, and the place is kept clean. The property itself may need a few updates, but I don’t dine in so I hardly notice that. If you like Burger King food, then I strongly recommend this place!”
“Made an order using the Burger King app. Pulled into the Drive thru 5 minutes after placing my order, and it was ready to go. Cheeseburgers made the way I requested and the fries where hot and perfect. One of the best fast food restaurants in the area.”

“Been several times since they add pizza great place great beer great pizza. pizza nice change of pace not the normal run of the mill pizza. I highly recommend you try it for your self!!!”
“Today is the first day of my new life, I now love lobster. I feel like a criminal having never liked lobster, but I will blame that on my peeps who have never taken me to High Rollers before today. I braced myself as everyone said this would change my life….. they were right! Lobster roll, lobster roll, lobster roll… wait a minute they have a lobster taco? Whatever you decide to get, make sure to order that pineapple sauce, it will give you an orgasm in your mouth. If you are not local, stuff as many of those fresh hoagie rolls in as you can.”
“Delicious every time. Their menu changes often and everything is always great. Our favorites are the pork belly buns, gyoza, fried chicken and Brussels sprouts. There are lots of options for vegetarians, too. We love it here.”
“Lone Pine is one of the best breweries in Portland! Shane is amazing! He had made me feel so welcome to the area! Rachael is also amazing! They know how to give great customer service! As a supervisor of a local hospital, the customer service is top notch! I would recommend this brewery to anyone! So amazing thanks to great staff like Shane and Rachael!”

“Walked in about a minute after they opened. Very friendly. Ordered two bahn mi: one lemongrass beef and one lemongrass chicken. Both were delicious. Bread was perfect. Meat was very flavorful. Condiments were excellent. Need to try more when we're in Portland again.”
“Love this place! Favorite neighborhood spot for lunch or dinner or just to take a walk and get a snack. The “puerco” and the “tomato” empanadas are great and the churros are amazing! The space is nice but also a great takeout option.”
“It's your local Burundi shop.I went back for the rice and extra side dishes that came along with the savory banana stew and they had taken it off the menu.Still a good dish, and he offered toasted homemade bread with olive oil. But, for 16.99 without the extra sides I personally wouldn't.”
“My brother claims their pizzas to be one of the best and he has eaten a lot of pizzas. I totally agree with him. Even though we only ordered takeout, we relished every bite that we plan to come back, dine and enjoy the view.Vegetarian options: Salads and pizzas with vegan options.”

“This is a great location! Their menu was stocked and everything was made very well. Great consistency across all the times we've gone and makes a great stop after shopping at BJs right down the road.”
“A must for any beer-lover who funds himself in Portland. New options, such as Baltic lager, stout, and non-alcoholic hop water, complement the original specialty of the house: IPAs.”
“I LOVE DUNKIN DONUTS BECAUSE THEY UNDERSTAND REALTY.SUGAR IS POISONOUS WHERE SWEETNERS ARE IT'S ANTI DRUG .Kid-friendliness: THE STAFF BELIEVES AND ENFORCES A POLICY OF PROGRESS TOMORROW STARTS TODAY.Wheelchair accessibility: ROLL IN ROLL OUT WOTH A WARM AND FUZZY FEELING ON THE TUMMY .”
“Love this Dunkin !!I live near the Dunkin in the main mall and refuse to buy from there. This is go to place. Love the service and their food, drink are always good !!”
“Double D’Souza on Auburn st Portland is my #1 go 2 for all my morning needs before work! The morning crew are so so busy and they still have time for your wants and needs ! I go in and everything is always ready and perfect, and I always get a “Have a Great Day Larry”!”
“I came here to relax for a little bit. I had been walking from the spare time bowl and my feet was hurting so I came in to charge my phone. Grab a bite to eat and also figure out directions back to the bus station in Portland..The place was quite not as packed which was good. I hope to come back and visit again soon”

“Vegetarian options: There's no sausage in the coffee and they've got all of the milk and cream alternatives you want.Dietary restrictions: Why would you be at Dunkin' if you were on a diet in the first place ? If you have the iPad kid you'll be surprised how fast they come back to reality for a donut.Wheelchair accessibility: Roll in, roll out, do a donut dance and shake it all about.”
“The bad reviews posted by other people had me worried, but I had a pretty decent breakfast (and no problems) at 8:30 AM on a Wednesday. In the mornings, they just have one employee working (I assume she's the manager) and she is both your cashier and your cook. She did a good job on my breakfast, and I enjoyed it.Later in the day, a second employee comes in to help with lunch rush time.”
“This place has chronically dropped the ball on customer service. But seeing how the manager treats people based on what I guess is social status, it's not the employees fault.”
“Cheesy, overstuffed, meaty and damn delicious. How the hell does Taco Bell have so many locations that DON'T make food like this place. Whoever was working the grill when I rolled up knows whats up. It's everything you want at taco bell and no fillers. I would have tipped the cook 10 bucks but it was closed. High five whoever you are!Parking: About 12 to 18”

“This is one of my favorite places in Portland. The coffee is excellent, the atmosphere is so lovely, and the baristas are local treasures. Hooray for Future Swan (or at least that's what the regulars call it)!”
“Breath of fresh air coffee shop and medical dispensary! Moving to Portland I didn’t dream I’d find a welcoming kind environment for my two loves. Each staff member was patient to the time to explain and made me feel seen. Some of the best flower in Portland! Along with the fact you can get a cbd iced tea or coffee. This spot is a diamond in the rough of wharf st”
“Spectacular breakfast. The crispy chicken with sausage gravy was savory and delicious. The Portland breakfast plate was perfect, my lady asked for crispy bacon and they absolutely delivered!!”
“I went the morning after power across the city went out because nothing in south Portland was open (not even the traffic lights worked!) It was extremely crowded and they were out of some of the food. There are probably about 18 stools and 2 tables and every one was taken. My drip coffee was tasty, but almost $4. They have a lot of charging ports and coat/purse hangers under the counter which rocks! Employees were friendly, it was clean, there's a little shop in the back but I didn't explore. Cute place”
“I had a great experience here. Service was friendly and timely and the atmosphere was picturesque "coffee shop" and environmentally aware and progressive.”
“After several false starts, I finally got to try the Miss Portland Diner, and it was worth the wait. I had a basic staple - the bacon cheeseburger with fries. It was cooked to perfection and I devoured it fast. I also learned that a downeast Reuben sandwich is an open faced sandwich, which was much to the chagrin of my dining partner. Service was decent and vibe had a cool old skool diner feel to it. I will be going back and trying more food. I will adjust this review accordingly.”
“This place is the best fried fish sandwich you can sync your teeth into. They have a great special on Mondays and Tuesdays just for nobody even comes close to stellar fried fish sandwiches with lettuce and tartar for three bucks Drop the Mic.”
“First time visiting, I got the mango smoothie bowl. My wife got the peanut butter smoothie bowl. They were delicious and substantial. The coconut cream on the mango is an excellent touch. The rest of the menu looked very interesting. Healthy, fresh and creative.”
“vegan blood orange and chocolate!!! After recovering from an ER stay, this was the first thing I ate to help me get my appetite back. So delicious and light. This is the best ice cream in all of Portland. Super quality.”
“Very cozy coffee shop with many fun flavor options! I love the special bagel each week - my favorite has been salt rosemary! I love to stop in here on my way to work. Sometimes my fiance likes to work here before we go out to lunch. They have great free wifi as well.Dietary restrictions: Lots of milk alternatives.”
“For a dive bar , an awesome place, regulars are friendly , drinks are cold and delicious, get area to walk to and from, definitely a place to visit and have a few drinks with family and friends. Recommend 5 stars.”
“Love this place! Very cozy and combucha tastes great! I like Cranberry and orange flavor and also Pineapple and jalapeño is really flavorful. I strongly recommend ?”
“Howies is a great neighborhood bar. You feel at home and everyone is nice and welcoming there. There are no cliques or gangs or people that would look you up and down, it's just a great place to hangout for a couple drinks and catch up with friends. The plus side is Salvatore's hoagies has a home there Thursday - Sunday and we try to get a hoagie on a weekly visit! You have to get everything! We haven't had a bad meal or a disappointment!”
“I just got back from Cera and tried the Turks & Chaos turkey and smoked bacon sandwich. It was so well made and delicious. I've been looking for a quick sandwich place where I can grab something while I'm out and this place is it! I''ll be going back very soon!”
“I just want to go here everyday until I’ve tried every pastry. This spot is super cute, in the best neighborhood in Portland (don’t fight me). The staff were all incredibly kind and welcoming. The pastries all looked so amazing it was hard to choose! I ended up getting the pistachio croissant, was was topped with a hard shell of dark chocolate and chopped pistachios, and filled with a great pistachio paste (similar to an almond croissant). It was incredibly decedent but so delicious. I worked at a very prestigious French bakery, and I prefer Belleville’s croissant to any that I had while working there.I appreciate their traditional coffee menu, too, which works so great any of the pastries.I’ll absolutely be back!!”
“I love this place! The food is delicious and the family who owns it is very kind. When I asked my server for gluten-free soy sauce, she alerted me to the fact that I had accidentally ordered a dish with wheat in it, remaking it for me immediately. I really appreciated her help with my dietary restrictions. It’s sometimes hard to find asian food that’s gluten-free, but this place has a lot of options and it’s very good! I had the pad Thai and tuna sushiDietary restrictions: Gluten free and vegetarian options”
“Small, friendly brewery with a decent selection of beers. I had only one beer, the sour, which I enjoyed thoroughly. Located in a neighborhood with several other breweries but certainly worth a stop.”

Hi-Fidelity
“Great spot. The owners are such great people. They sling great drinks and awesome food. The breakfast sandwich is one of the best around Portland. You should go and enjoy this spot.”

Leeward
“Outstanding experience at Leeward for my husband’s birthday. Burrata, focaccia, pasta dishes, and gelato were all superb. We sat at the chef’s counter which was fun. Service was also exceptional. Our new favorite restaurant in Portland!”
“Tandem serves some of the best coffee I've tasted. We were visiting Portland and stopped by the 122 Anderson location. We were greeted by the baristas who were extremely friendly and provided great recommendations for the area. We tried a classic latte, maple latte, and their pour over coffee, which was smooth and bold. Highly recommend a pit stop here, either to enjoy the ambience of the little shop or just grab a coffee to go!”
“Had a great experience here. Outstanding food with great flavor and presentation. Service was great... Warm, welcoming, and attentive. Love the atmosphere. Will be back. Highly recommended!Dietary restrictions: Good selection of Gluten Free options”
“Tried the breakfast sandwich and the Junkfood Burger. Ready enjoyed both. Great balance of flavors. Was skeptical of the black bean burger approach (as opposed to Impossible or something), but you know what? This was great too.”

Miyake
“Quick update: I highly recommend Miyake as a place to stop in for lunch, too! It's a quieter vibe than dinner, so perfect for grabbing a seat at the sushi bar. There are bento box lunch specials and chef's choice sushi and sashimi, or you can order rolls from the lunch menu; I had a wonderful red snapper ceviche roll and of course, their wonderful miso soup!”
“On our way back home in NY from Houlton, Maine we decided to stop and walk around town down Portland, an across from where we parked we saw Butcher Burger and decided to go in and hands down the best decision we made lol the atmosphere, the music playlist top tier, amazing staff and A1 service!!!My family loved Sierra One of the staff at Butcher, She had all the answers to our questions when it came to certain drinks and recommended a drink from our description that hit the spot to what my sister is used to drinking back home on Long Island….I decided to go with THE SURE & TURF BURGER which came with house patty • hand-picked Maine lobster • lettuce • tomato • bacon • mayo which was delicious to the very last bit!!Followed by The CRISPY LOBSTER ROLL which consisted of crispy Maine lobster • shredded lettuce • bacon jam • spicy mayo • brioche roll and let me tell that bacon Jam was the pièce de résistance to that amazing Lobster Roll!!Boy oh boy let’s talk about these BUTCHER FRIES they used Maine potatoes and talk about crunchy they triple cooked them bad boys and Served them with their amazingly delicious block sauce that we couldn’t get enough of!!!10 out of 10 for me and I will definitely be back again soon!!!!!”
“Green Elephant. Much Elegant! Our sweet sweet boy wanted to go here! And we got into the BEAUTIFUL seaside city of Portland Maine! A friendly town elder welcomed us to the city! We went into Green Elegant and ordered soda. Less ice next time please! The man who I drive with ate some tofu and noodles and had his shirt tucked in because this is a NICE place to eat. Our Sweet boy ate something he liked. Vegan options for those animal lovers who don’t want to kill god’s creatures but also don’t want to eat mud and grass. And for me…Green Curry at the extravagant Green Elephant. The kind waitress said, you want this spicy? I said lemme get a 2 spice. Spice scale goes to 5! 2 is good. I DID NOT want to cause a scene cause Spicey gets me riled up. Can’t embarrass our sweet boy he’s shy! Shyness isn’t bad this world needs all kinds of people. Be understanding and live life with love. So I sipped soda which was blueberries flavor. And not to belabor the point but next time I’ll sip from the bottle…too much ice in the glass. Like the North Sea. Him had gift card! 50 bucks. I loved the curry and caused a small scene!”
“Excellent! Favorite restaurant in Portland. Delicious, nourishing comfort food. BYOB. Everything is always fresh and tasteful-- have dined here several times and tried most of the menu. Homey atmosphere and friendly, gracious hosts. What a special place. Thank you!”
“We got the lobster stew, clam chowder and the crab sandwich.Everything was good, lobster stew has a very buttery and creamy taste. Crab sandwich was delicious and would recommend it over lobster roll. They have half sandwich options with sides of chowder so it’s great if you want to try out several items.”
“Delicious!!! Super cute place for drinks after dinner and very cozy vibe. We were seated as a group of 7 within 10 minutes which was convenient for a Friday night! The sweet martinis were really yummy. I'm glad I got to visit!!”

Crispy Gai
“Fantastic lunch spot! All of the food we got was delicious, and the portions are generous. Super flavorful, plenty of NA drink options (loved the lemongrass Rickey, and the guava limeade we ordered).”
“We had our welcome party here the day before our wedding and it was wonderful! Rebecca was so easy to work with and made the whole process a breeze. Everyone had such a great time and the staff did an awesome job serving over 100 guests.”
“My hubby and I love this spot! It has a cozy and comfortable vibe and the staff are always friendly and happy to take care of you. We typically get blueberry pancakes (which are HUGE) and a build-your-own omelet which comes with a side of their amazing sweet potato home fries. But we’ve had several of the eggs benedict dishes, French toast, and tried options off of their rotating specials menu. The food never disappoints and always fills you (often times I have to take leftovers home with me).”
“Delicious every time. Their menu changes often and everything is always great. Our favorites are the pork belly buns, gyoza, fried chicken and Brussels sprouts. There are lots of options for vegetarians, too. We love it here.”

Paper Tiger
“We love Paper Tiger! We are locals to Portland and enjoy the food scene here quite a bit. Paper Tiger is always a stop we incorporate when friends come to visit Maine, and it’s always a hit! From really tasty, unique cocktails, to very flavorful dishes, it’s a great spot!”
“We visited Maine Oyster Co. while staying in the area for a short visit in Portland. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy with many different seating options available. Sean & John were very warm, and personable. We were more than happy to hear about their experience as oyster farmers, and the oysters they produced, which were incredibly delicious. Maine Oyster Co. was not only a great spot for oysters, but a good way to get a taste of what Maine is all about- friendly people, and great seafood.”

Broken Arrow
“Stopped in for some cocktails and an appetizer. The whipped feta toast was delicious. Cool and unique atmosphere. Our bartender/server, Tony, was super nice and fun. Say hi to Boris the ”
“Great cocktails, impeccable atmosphere. Definitely one of my favorite bars in Portland. Mind eraser shots are one of my favorites. And don’t skip on the hot dogs!”
“Zara, our server, was excellent. One of the best dining experiences we've had recently in terms of quality of the food, service, ambience. A little pricey, but ok given the quality. Definitely will return soon. Thank you. EMercier”
“Driving from Northern Maine to South East Connecticut and decided to stop here for food with my husband. I'm so happy we did! The food was delicious, and the staff were kind and welcoming. It is absolutely worth stopping in, and we plan to stop in again when passing through the area.”
“My partner and I love this spot (it’s probably our most visited restaurant in Portland.) They have an extensive vegan menu and we particularly love the tofu skins and cloud mushrooms. The staff here is so nice and the atmosphere is great. We will continue to come back again and again.”
“Excellent, chill pub that is very friendly and neighborhood feeling. We walked in and everyone seemed to welcome us in as we sat around the huge bar top. Great drinks, very attentive and fun bartenders, and the food menu is delicious. I was pleasantly surprised by the food quality. The King’s Head will be my go to on future business visits to Portland.”

Hi Bombay
“This place is by far the best Indian restaurant in the area. The service was great, The food was spicy and delicious. The Atmosphere was relaxing. I will definitely be coming back to this place.”
52
Tandoor
“My partner and I love this spot — they have so many good vegan dishes and they’re all amazing. They even have 2 vegan bread options. I love chana masala and this is some of the best in Portland. We also love their aloo gobi and dal soup. The staff is super attentive and friendly, we find ourselves coming back again and again. Would definitely recommend!”
“I've been to the Continental twice and had an excellent experience both times. First was lunch and I had delicious French onion soup, salad, and the best pour of Guinness I've ever been served! We returned today for brunch and I had a grilled chicken sandwich and of course another perfect pint of Guinness. I typically don't go for grilled chicken because it's boring, but the buttery grilled bread, tarragon mayo, and pickles really brought the sandwich together. The fries were also cooked perfectly. The best part of the Continental is the amazing service! The owner/bartender really makes it a great experience. The Press Herald review was BS! The Continental rules and I hope it's successful in its first year!”

Yosaku
“Had a delicious dinner here. Our server Cody was friendly and gave us some great recommendations. We had a great time sitting at the sushi bar. If you’re looking for high quality sushi, this is the place!”

Dok Mali
“After being recommended this spot multiple times, I took date night as the opportunity to try it out. Let me just say, I haven’t stopped thinking about this meal. We started out with the Moo Ping which was okay, and then enjoyed the Blossom Dumplings which was impossible not to devour in one bite. The star of this entire review is the Mee Ka Te which had a spicy curry broth that was unlike any other flavor I have had before. The service was fast and the Thai Tea was perfect. For sure, will be back.”

Thai ESAAN
“Great atmosphere, very inviting, toddler chairs are available. Beer and wine at the moment. Good is very flavorful.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free itemsKid-friendliness: Comfortable booth seating and high chairs for small kids”

Après
“If the establishment is reading this, please change the location of your water station. As a #thicc man, having it in the tiny hallway next to the bathroom was a bad experience for all involved. I will adjust to 5 stars when that is fixed”
“Excellent! We had the house salad … like no house salad I’ve ever had! Lots of goodies, super tasty and the large was plenty for two! My hubby had rigatoni carbonara. I had the crab raviolini. We also ordered bread service ($7 was a bit high).Rigatoni carbonara was very tasty but extremely rich. He wished it would have been cut with an acid for balance. My ravolini was perfect in flavor and size.We sat at the bar (not our fave but we didn’t have a reso). Stools were NOT comfortable. Bar/waitress (Lora/Lori I’m pretty sure that’s her name) was friendly and solicitous to us.It was great to be in a neighborhood (and not in the Old Port). We’ve driven by the restaurant and never been inside … glad we did this time. We’ll be back!”

Mami
“This place is so good. Slaps with flavor and I always leave recommending this place more and more! The chicken katsu sandwich is so delicious and the shishito pepper appetizer has to be one of my favorite snacks! The owners, Hana and Austin are amazing people and the food is always top notch quality!”
60
Boda
“Boda has always been one of my favorite places to go for a special night out. I say special because the ambiance is really warm... Candles that every table, the food is warm and delicious and presented beautifully. The prices are reasonable and competitive for Portland. The staff is also always friendly. They also have a cute bar room and a late night menu which is slightly different from their regular menu. Don't forget to try the quail eggs for a starter.Vegetarian options: They have curry and noodle dishes that you can get with tofu instead of chicken or fish or beef. They also have appetizers that are vegetarian.Parking: If it's during the day you will most likely have to pay for street parking, but if it's after 5 or 6:00 street parking is free but plan ahead because it takes a little while to find street parking in Portland.”
“We had a lovely stay at the Canopy. Per recommendations we had brunch at the Salt Yard. Our food was delicious and customer service was outstanding. Ellie made our delicious lattes and was super friendly. Will definitely come here again. Overall experience was great.”

Chaval
“In February, we journeyed from New York to Portland. Despite the chilly weather hindering our enjoyment, the highlight of our trip was undoubtedly the dinner experience here! Finding a restaurant that meets the standards set by New York's great culinary scene is a challenge, but this place exceeded expectations. If you're in Portland or nearby, it's a must-try! You can truly taste the passion chef puts into his cooking.”
“Another great brewery in Portland. They don't have flights which I don't love but you can get small pours of all their beers. They have some wine options as well if you aren't into beer. They serve some snacks but typically have a food truck on site. I'm not a huge beer fan but when they have a sour I typically get it. Large inside and outside seating area, which is great for big groups. They also have corn hole. A fun brewery to stop at, with lots of parking out back as well.”

Rigby Yard
“Food was delicious and so were the drinks. Our server didn’t inform us that the Caesar salad (instead of fries) for my sandwich was an extra $5 - which I wish was mentioned. But it was delicious.”
“Great coffee, great food, beautiful building, awesome atmosphere. I did the morning special woth coffee with they insured was always filled, a bloody Mary with was delicious, and a choice of an entrepreneur which was also scrumptious.”
“Fantastic service, food and drinks. My husband got the steamed Maine lobster and it was a lot easier to get out of its shell than expected. I would not recommend the lazy lobster, it is easier than getting the lobster out of its shell but it's served in a lot of butter.”
“My friends took me here to do karaoke for my bday and we had THE very best time ✨great drinks and immaculate vibes ? Will definitely be back for more singing and to try the food!!”

Bird & Co.
“Bird and Co recently catered a private event for us and they absolutely crushed it. They were so helpful, kind, patient, communicative, timely and prepared. Everyone loved the food and it was both high quality and affordable. We can’t thank them enough and we would highly recommend them to cater any event.Dietary restrictions: They accommodated us with gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options.”
“Wandered here for lunch and was greeted by a cozy, dimly lit dining room with only a few people in it, but with a buzzing, friendly energy. Our server was lovely and happily shared the dishes she enjoyed with us. My friend ordered a lobster roll and I ordered a big bowl of clam chowder, along with a root beer and a bright red mocktail. As much as it was hyped, the food felt a bit under-seasoned, and I struggled to taste much fishiness from my soup or my friend’s roll. The chips and pickle served with the roll were really good, as were the drinks.I would come here again during a warmer month & take advantage of the patio outside. I’d also come mentally prepared for the $75 bill at the end- not unjustified on their part, just a bit on the pricey end.Overall, would recommend!”
“Always very interesting (but delicious) wines by the glass to offer, and the service is outstanding. The little market has some lovely essentials. The space is very cool and the concept is perfect. Tempted stop in any time I walk by.”

Quanto Basta
“Incredible pizza napoletana. After living in Italy we were worried we wouldn’t find somewhere of quality in New England. This is it. Highly recommend!!! Recommend the Buffala!!”
“I didn’t get her name but they had a very soft voice, what an amazing bartender! Would recommend going earlier for a very relaxed atmosphere, after a couple drinks people love to hear themselves talk and it gets louder.”
“We dined at the Old Port Sea Grill & Bar on our last visit to the Portland area. The seafood was very fresh, and the service was great. They served up one of the best lobster rolls that we've ever had!”
“This place is great for room service or eating in the restaurant. Friendly staff, friendly guests, and multiple comfortable places to sit and chill. I stay at the adjacent hotel 3+ times a year because of the food options, bar and location.”
“I highly recommend visiting at least once. The seafood is incredibly fresh, which makes it taste deliciously sweet. The flavor and service are top-notch. If you live nearby, it's the kind of taste you'd want to enjoy every day.”
“We had lunch here and the food was delicious. The woman who both waited on us and prepared our meals was very friendly and kind. We all look forward to trying Asmara again soon.”
“We've had two lovely brunches at 1895 and would definitely go back again. Next time we'll try them for dinner. The room itself is elegant, more so than a typical brunch place but the prices aren't any higher. We didn't do it, but their website indicates they have valet parking and we did see some people using it when we were leaving. When you look at the menu you'll see a number of brunch-type items on the regular menu but they also had additional ones on a special brunch menu. We both had benedicts and liked them.”
“This is a hidden gem in Portland. If you like thin crust pizza this place is the best. It is unique, not like anything else in the city, but that is the point. It is excellent. You may not like the style of crust, but the ingredients are all top notch. The staff all seem personally invested in the success of the restaurant, which is great. The atmosphere is incredibly comfortable and laid back. Also, there is parking - a rare thing in downtown Portland. Try the Dean Martin pizza and the dessert Nutella Pizza. You will not be disappointed. My new favorite restaurant in Portland, now that Emalitsa has closed. Yes, I am putting Coals on the same playing field as one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at.Parking: There is plenty of free parking in the lot behind the building.”

India Palace
“This is by far my favorite restaurant in Portland!! The staff is so friendly and the food is amazing! So much flavor and they aren’t afraid to make food spicy when asked! Absolutely love this ”
“The service was average the food was tasty, but it felt like the entrees where ingredients put together rather a cohesive dish. The apps were great though! I will return to see if I just happened to pick the wrong entrees or go at a very busy time.”

Clam Bar
“I was only able to photograph the lemonade that was prepared with a unique cocktail style by the manager, when the food was delivered to us, the appearance and aroma did not make us forget to photograph it. We ordered: the fish sandwich which was a bestseller. A delicious melted crab cheese, my daughter a Clam Chowder that was surprising and my wife the Loaded Snappy red hot dog that managed to surprise us. The manager's attention is unbeatable! Totally recommend this place.”
“This is a fantastic restaurant in Portland. My wife and I recently celebrated her birthday. The food was excellent and the service was top notch. Be sure to order the garlic knots.”
“Go when it's not so crowded. Food is okay. It's a bit pricey. The waitress we had was awesome and very nice. It's a great place for a meet-up with friends.”

REGARDS
“Check out this great restaurant. Four of us ate dinner at Regards Saturday night & totally enjoyed our meals. We are adventurous eaters who love to try new foods. We cook gourmet meals for ourselves & friends & we want quality options. Our motto is that we don't mind spending a little more money, if the food is better than we would make for ourselves and or something we wouldn't generally take the time to prepare at home. Because, the food is influenced by Japanese & Mexican roots, we had to "ask Siri" to define many of the menu items, but that was fun too. I am gluten/dairy intolerant & often restaurants will only have a few options that I can choose from, but at Regards, I had endless options & didn't feel like I was missing out on the "good choices". Regards offers great ambiance, a nice assortment of menu choices, helpful friendly staff & wonderful food. Check it out-”
“Perfect spot near the Holiday Inn in Portland. Service, food and draft beer selection were all great. It was busy so I think the good word is out. Would definitely recommend!”
“We had dinner reservations before a show at the Merrill. Traffic suggested we would be late. I called to let them know and the woman on the phone, perhaps a recent immigrant, couldn’t have been kinder or more reassuring! We arrived to find the dining room was being refurbished and the lobby had been transformed into the dining area. An additional distance from the kitchen, the wait staff was HUSTLING! It was wonderful to observe their camaraderie and assisting each other during the pre-show rush. Our server, Hannah, could not have been kinder or more accommodating! The food was wonderful in its presentation and even better in its taste. My husband had the seafood (Cod) special and I enjoyed the scallops! Everything about the experience was perfect!”

N TO TAIL
“This was our first visit. We chose the BBQ date night option. Which included ribeye and pork belly. Who can resist that! There were plenty of sides, too. It was fun cooking your own meal. The waitress was friendly and attentive. She offered advice, as it was our first time.”
“Second time here and the food was as amazing as it was the first time. 4 stars for service bc you have to wait on yourself. Once you order (from the pretty rude) dude behind the counter, you pick up your food and drink, bus and clean your table. Definitely not a fan of this concept especially when paying over $20 for entree. Food and atmosphere spectacular so I'll come back. Note to rudedude: Hey, in the hospitality business, you need to be respectful and smile at the very least.”

Bramhall
“Portland has a lot of bars but this one definitely my favorite! The atmosphere and vibe is on point. Food and drinks are excellent. This is the kind of place you’d wanna hit up at least once a week”

Blue Spoon
“What a great new restaurant for Midcoast Maine. The food was amazing and the service impeccable. They need more street signage so you can see it from Route 1 but you'll definitely be glad you went.”
91
Mr. Tuna
“First time at Mr. Tuna stopped in for lunch. Customer service was excellent the variety of entrees were plentiful. The food was fresh and delicious. The Miso Soup was good not too salty. The sushi was a little on the small side compared to other sushi places in town but delicious.Regarding the ambiance the restaurant is simple and shares space with another restaurant. If you’re wanting good food in a simple dining space Mr. Tuna is definitely a great choice!!”

Ribollita
“Small restaurant but really good food. Wait staff were excellent. Reservations needed most nights, I suspect. Some reviews suggested some dishes weren't good, but we enjoyed everything. Food was hot, flavorful, cooked properly, and a good value.”
“I’m from Lynn, MA home of the roast beef sandwich. I like mine MURDERED. This place brings back memories of growing up in Lynn and Kelly’s Roast Beef at Revere Beach! Thanks for the memories but PLEASE BRING THE FOOD TRUCK BACK TO EAST END BEACH!”
“This was a small tasting room compared to most other breweries I’ve visited in the past. However, this is where size really doesn’t matter as it boils down to the potency and flavor of their brews. I have never heard of them previously (also did not even know they were the first NE craft brewery) but noticed patrons walking in and out from the other side of the street. I asked a local friend that I was with and he simply told me to go get a flight in, which I did not hesitate in the least to do.Definitely was worth checking out when in the area. There were a bunch of locals hanging out in there with various brews in their hands. They were obviously proud of the place and welcomed me in as I ordered two flights to taste most of what they had to offer. $20 to taste 8 brews with lovely locals to chat with? Absolutely worth it.Good stuff. Definitely stop by if you’re traveling through.”
“Nice, friendly staff, outdoor seating with views and a lovely spot to watch the boats in walking distance to ferry. We didn't eat only grabbed a drink, but will be back as the haddock looked good!”
“Amazing! The food was so delicious and do keep in mind that the menu constantly changes due to popular demand or availability of the products. I will definitely bring my family back and the atmosphere is something that you should not miss! I was not aware that I was on the water until I got off. The best perk is that you don’t have to look for a parking because they have one on their lot!”

Liquid Riot
“A great spot to pop in for beer and apps with friends! Fun atmosphere with a large variety of beers to enjoy. The service is also very good - The servers are knowledgeable about their beer variety”

Sur Lie
“As always, Sur Lie certainly was an excellent choice! We went for dinner during restaurant week, and we are actually holding our wedding reception here during the summer. I love how they use different flavors, and every dish I have is always well balanced and delicious. Fabulous cocktails too!”
“We were really excited to try this spot in Portland after perusing the must-try spots for dinner. Glad we stumbled upon this restaurant while we were researching, because it did NOT disappoint.Ambiance is trendy and fun, with decorative wood details, lots of plants, and mood lighting. The servers were very attentive to our needs, made suggestions, and were super friendly. And the best part, the food: we ordered the soup dumplings, pork pan fried dumplings, orange beef, duck lo mein, honey walnut shrimp, garlic green beans and lobster Rangoon. We ordered QUITE a lot for two people but it was all eaten. The soup dumplings had great flavor, great broth, and strong dumpling skin. However, I’m under the impression they weren’t handmade (no hole on top). Not a huge deal, but it was still super good. The honey walnut shrimp was CHUNKY! They were ginormous pieces—perfect for 2. The orange beef was so crispy, perfectly sauced and tender. But the superstar of the night was THE GREEN BEANS. You can taste the breath of the wok on the beans. They’re perfectly seasoned, charred, and had perfect crunchy bits of garlic. Can’t wait to come back during the summer months!”

“Authentic environment with reasonably priced food and general items. Also the best sub sandwich I’ve ever had. Recommend the loaded steak sub. Breakfast was also wonderful - got the breakfast wrap. Staff goes above and beyond in service. I forgot a small bag with souvenirs at the table and they held it for me until the next day, not even knowing if I’d be back. Great place! Glad I found it.”
“Not sure where Melanie got her food but it certainly wasn’t from this establishment. The owners are a husband and wife team that work 24 seven and put out amazing food and the customer service is excellent. I am not looking forward to the day they retire. My children grew up with them and they knew them by name and still do 20+ years later. Mrs Winslow?”
“Never been here before, so I didn't know what to expect. It was pretty busy for a Tuesday and the vibe was positive. Another review will also be on the Menu. I liked Bruno's.”

“Really good brisket. It compares to Franklins, Snows, and Goldee's. Id pass on all the sauces but good brisket doesn't need a sauce. You can get point or flat depending on your preference. As a Southern who has moved up to NE, this is the best I've had so far. Hopefully the menu doesn't change too much with the refresh.”

“Ours was a perfect seat for our party of 6, right by the window it was excellent. The best seat in the house.I only didn’t give 5 stars all around because of the crazy loud volume in the room, a loud atmosphere that made it uncomfortable for conversation, but it was still very nice early in the evening.”
“Fantastic place for brunch! Reasonable price, friendly service, clean environment and great food! Really liked the retro diner decor.Tried their lobster rolls, it’s scrumptious and fresh, the side fries are fresh from the fryer, hot and crispy! “First time back to roma in about 15 years. Is it possible that this place got better. Food was fantastic. We had halibut, duck, chicken parm and rigatoni. Top notch. Dessert is a must have with the cannolis. Service was fantastic and did not let us down. Can't beat the atmosphere.”
“The best breakfast we've ever had in the entire country - it's that good! Get the French toast. Or the crab and lobster omelette. Off the charts delicious! The service is exceptional and so is the dog friendly deck with beautiful views. We will be back!!”
“Great location! Our waiter was attentive. The spinach artichoke dip is delicious! The burger was good but a bit over-cooked. Their drinks are decent. It’s a little pricey but I enjoy the atmosphere so much and being right down town!”
“vegan blood orange and chocolate!!! After recovering from an ER stay, this was the first thing I ate to help me get my appetite back. So delicious and light. This is the best ice cream in all of Portland. Super quality.”
“I wish you could ship to where I live ...everything was so delicious...I had the a lemon tart an this roll with an almost toffee consistency on top and nuts...I wasn't even hungry!? That's what's crazy...I thought id save for later....lol didn't even make it to Salem....so good!!!”
“Packed on a Tuesday evening during eclipse extended weekend 2024. Got a ton of food in about 5 minutes. Best fish (pescado) Taco I've ever had by a country mile. Best churro I've ever had too. Steak tacos great. Good drinks. Enchanting atmosphere. Great service.”
“Good Canelle and good quality food. Great experience with baked goods. Nice dining area offers ten to fifteen people seating if you need a place to sit down. Reasonable prices for coffee make a nice addition as well.”
“Popped in for a quick lunch, loved the guacamole and rice and beans. My partner had the chicken tinga, it was wonderful! I had the El Paso, spicy abut a lively bite. The drink was a Rosita, it was ok but too sweet for me! Overall great spot! We will be back!”
New Restaurants
“Wow, I actually left his restaurant in awe. Some of the best food in the whole state and some exceptional cocktails. Great service too, our sever josh was super nice funny and helpful. Please go here if you havnt. REBEL ROCKS!”
“The staff here is always so friendly and efficient. We always get a pizza and wings and there’s usually a good deal for carry out on their app. We really like their pizza.”
