“Small cozy spot with delicious food. We had the pork belly ramen, highly recommend. Pork was very flavorful, and definitely get the side of spicy sauce if you like spicy. A pretty large portion too for a reasonable price. We'll be going back to try the poke bowls, which are all customizable with a pretty good selection of veggies and toppings.Only downside is if you're allergic/not a fan of seafood there was not a lot of options, tofu or pork only.”
“Small, friendly brewery with a decent selection of beers. I had only one beer, the sour, which I enjoyed thoroughly. Located in a neighborhood with several other breweries but certainly worth a stop.”
“They should rename this place "Cheers of the North". I've never been to such a welcoming and hospitable spot. The Thai pizza is outstanding. The tacos are even better. Beers are all great and you can tell that Jeff, the brewmaster, puts a ton of effort and attention into the beers. The space is super cozy and inviting. Like hanging out at a close friend's house. Every time I'm up here I try to make it my first and last stop. I found out this time they have an AirBnB on site called "The Brewhouse" cannot wait to stay there next time I'm up.”
“All I will say is absolutely amazing place. Great people amazing food. I’m from Maine and grew up with a fisherman/Women family lots of sea food growing up but, the clam chowder at the shop is hands down the best !!! Sorry mom ;)..We Will absolutely be back.”

“Loved it! Looking for a sandwich place. I saw how highly they were rated- now I know why. I had the badda bing. My wife had the Turks and chaos plus avocado. We loved them. Also had the honey lemonade- delicious!”
“Cute little restaurant, with a wonderful mishmash of cultural influences. The interesting name brought us in, but the quality brought us back. The prices are good, and the food is even better. We had a lovely waiter named Natasha who made our night with her hospitality.”

“Dinner at ISA was a great experience in. The service was great and the menu was filled with creative dishes. And everything our party ordered was prepared perfectly and delicious. We really loved the lobster tostado appetizer and the beet and avocado salad and the eggplant, lasagna, and shrimp entrées.(all of which we shared) the real was complemented by great wine pairings. Dessert was coconut custard pie, Also delicious. We can't wait to return and try the rest of the menu.”

“Allagash White has been one of my go-to's when it comes to beer. Visiting Maine I knew that I had to visit their brewery and wow, what a great moment. A great selection of beer, food and merch!”
“Loved our after dinner dessert at Gelato Fiasco several delicious gelato flavors. The toasted coconut and peanut butter chocolate chip flavors were amazing! Great customer service:)”

“My favorite lunch spot! The food is so fresh and clean. I always feel like I could bath in the hummus. They make it and it is the best you'll find on the East coast. It is a small business so everyone is very friendly and local so you'll likely see them out too. It's a place I take everyone!!”

“We had an awesome experience at Marcy’s Diner. From the moment you walk in the door you know this is the spot. Everyone was super friendly, the setting is very casual and the classic rock music playing was very nostalgic for us. Our server was friendly and attentive. The vast menu and prices are amazing, and the food is soooooo good. This was a top 3 all time break fast experience for both of us, can’t wait to come back.”
“The folks who run this place are always working hard & taking phone orders, but service is still fast and food is excellent and reasonably priced. I think if this place as a to go spot- although there are a couple places you can sit inside. The only negative I can even think of is that if you order a drink without ice, you get half a drink- but other than this- this place is perfect!Dietary restrictions: I believe they offer vegan mayo- they were able to answer questions I had about allergy safety and accommodate for my allergy. I come here often and trust the folks who work here!”
“It's your local Burundi shop.I went back for the rice and extra side dishes that came along with the savory banana stew and they had taken it off the menu.Still a good dish, and he offered toasted homemade bread with olive oil. But, for 16.99 without the extra sides I personally wouldn't.”

“By far my favorite bakery in Portland, the staff is lovely, and they serve incredible coffee.Their pastries are to die for. Their kouign amann is the best I've had on this side of the Atlantic. I also love the cream filled bun, I'm a sucker for really good pastry cream and this stuff is really good.A must for anyone visiting Portland.”

“I love to go for Wednesday buck a shuck and the mushroom toast is incredible! ?The bartenders are also very talented, not many people can make Mocktails the way they do!!”
“Can instant coffee be good. YES!!!!! I was gifted a box of Tandem Coffee freeze dried and it was amazing. You should just buy it. If you are traveling, maybe to visit family, and you just want one thing to be good about the morning, bring these packets with you. Sure you could find a local coffee shop, great, do that; but have these as a backup. Heck you might need it in the middle of the day. SO GOOD!!!”

“The paella is so good here and I am a self proclaimed paella connoisseur! And even better, it’s reasonable priced! The staff was slow on a Friday night because they got randomly busy and the server said “it never is” which shouldn’t be the case. This place deserves to be busy! Food is so flavorful, please keep this place busy so it stays open!!!”
“Shrimp grits were to die for! Soooo delicious and flavorful! Very homey and cozy feel. The scrambalaya was under seasoned. We got their seasonal special pierogies and they were just okay.”
“Portland has an amazing selection of restaurants, and I think that the Wayside Tavern is one of the best I've eaten at. Amazing food, excellent service and a chill relaxed atmosphere. I'll definitely be going back.”
“My wife and I were looking for new restaurants to try in Portland and anyone we asked suggested this place. It lived up to every expectation. Upon entry you’re welcomed with humble hospitality. The open kitchen is relaxing. The dining room is perfectly configured for a small venue. Our server was attentive, kind and helpful. The food was impeccable with every bite. We had the liver mousse, French onion soup, endive salad, steak tartare, cauliflower soup, flat iron steak and scallops. Every dish was the best of its kind. We were floored. This is a hidden gem and should get the recognition it deserves. Top 3 meals we’ve ever had and by far the best in Portland. We’ll be back over and over again.”
“Zara, our server, was excellent. One of the best dining experiences we've had recently in terms of quality of the food, service, ambience. A little pricey, but ok given the quality. Definitely will return soon. Thank you. EMercier”
“How nice it is to have a whole menu of options that I can actually eat rather than searching for the one or two veggie options at a regular restaurant. The food is delicious and good sized portions. Will definitely come back, would eat here all the time if I could afford to!”
“Jenn with the bar was an absolute delight and every course was so complex and delicious. Their lobster roll is probably one of the best things I’ve eaten in the last year. I love the open kitchen and how smoothly everyone seems to work and flow together. This restaurant is definitely worth the hype!!”
“Really fun place. Great views from wherever you sit and the lobster roll was fantastic. Coming from an actual Mainer. I will definitely bring visitors here again.”

“If you want a 'good ole smoker feed', go to a roadside pit, if you want a new look on BBQ, this is the place! Food was excellent (not as spicy as I would like) with beautiful presentation and great wait staff. Finding a parking spot was horrible and not accessible to any slight mobility issue.Parking: We parked up a side street, pay park was $14 an hour”
“Have been before for dinner but was fortunate to have brunch yesterday and it was amazing. The uni special, citrus salad, chorizo egg sandwich and tuna crudo were all fantastic. Service was excellent as well.”

“Staff is super friendly every time I come in or drive through. Service is fast and accurate. Food is pretty good as far as Burger King food goes, and the place is kept clean. The property itself may need a few updates, but I don’t dine in so I hardly notice that. If you like Burger King food, then I strongly recommend this place!”
“Made an order using the Burger King app. Pulled into the Drive thru 5 minutes after placing my order, and it was ready to go. Cheeseburgers made the way I requested and the fries where hot and perfect. One of the best fast food restaurants in the area.”
“Tried the breakfast sandwich and the Junkfood Burger. Ready enjoyed both. Great balance of flavors. Was skeptical of the black bean burger approach (as opposed to Impossible or something), but you know what? This was great too.”
“Zara, our server, was excellent. One of the best dining experiences we've had recently in terms of quality of the food, service, ambience. A little pricey, but ok given the quality. Definitely will return soon. Thank you. EMercier”

“Great place, great food! We were visiting town for work, and this place was right across from the hotel. We were seated quickly. Adrian was super friendly! He gave us recommendations of what to do locally, and answered all our questions patiently. Would visit again if ever back in the area.”

“Good Canelle and good quality food. Great experience with baked goods. Nice dining area offers ten to fifteen people seating if you need a place to sit down. Reasonable prices for coffee make a nice addition as well.”
“Ordered through a delivery app. Next time I'll likely go in. I like providing that context to explain that I haven't been inside the location yet. Also, I ate this like an hour ago and am already hopping to Google so think about that in terms of how positive I was about the food ?Reviews speak for themselves. Amazing food, you can tell they source from quality suppliers because of the way my food tasted. The stew had a balanced amount of beef and vegetables which is what you want, the Lemon Herb Chicken sandwich was almost overflowing with chicken but it wasn't overpowering because it had plenty of other stuff in it as well. They clearly don't skip on the serving sizes, I was stuffed after half a sandwich and my soup.Another big plus is that whoever is running the account here clearly cares, which businesses may not realize but customers like me care about quite a bit. I like supporting cool people, and the way they respond to reviews is great. Will definitely be going back and definitely recommend.”
“This gelato was in my local produce store and I was extremely surprised. I tried the Oreo flavor and was blown away by how good it was. I was nervous at first because there are no Oreo chunks, but I soon realized that they blend the product together (mind-blowing). It is the perfect blend of flavors. This is going to be my new go-to. I'm excited to try it in person.”
“I stopped here for the first time today. I had the New Speedway Banana smoothie bowl which was delicious! The portion size was large and the bowl was made perfect and was very filling with fresh ingredients. The menu consisted of smoothies, smoothie bowls and salads. The location is great especially if your driving through the Portland area since it is just off of I-295.”
“Had a great experience here. Outstanding food with great flavor and presentation. Service was great... Warm, welcoming, and attentive. Love the atmosphere. Will be back. Highly recommended!Dietary restrictions: Good selection of Gluten Free options”
“Wow! What a great meal at Butcher Burger . Our first time there and it did not disappoint. Sadie was great with explaining portion sizes . Our burgers and sea salt fries were one of the best we’ve ever had . Atmosphere was spot on with terrific music playing . I would highly recommend trying this place out .”
“I can't even think of one thing I've had here that wasn't perfection. That's huge. Everything I've ordered is full of flavor and so fresh. Staff are attentive, kind and pay attention to detail. Great cozy space as well in a perfect location.Highly recommend the empanadas (I've had all except shrimp, and all delicious!), the fried cheese w/ Pineapple Sauce (I literally close my eyes and smile when I eat this), the Cuban sandwich, arepas, tostones, and tamales. It's all perfect *chefs kiss*Order extra salsa - it's amazing not only with the empanadas but to take home to have with chips and leftovers. The limeades and smoothies are great as well. Watch for rotating desserts, some super unique deserts make their way through as well. This place radiates joy and I hope it's around for a long, long time. Something this good you hang on to and never let go! 100/10!”

“Wonderful service in a laid-back atmosphere. Best cornbread with house-made butter I've ever had!Dietary restrictions: My wife has Celiac and other allergies but Noble was knowledgeable and helpful in selecting options.”
“A must for any beer-lover who funds himself in Portland. New options, such as Baltic lager, stout, and non-alcoholic hop water, complement the original specialty of the house: IPAs.”
“Love this Dunkin !!I live near the Dunkin in the main mall and refuse to buy from there. This is go to place. Love the service and their food, drink are always good !!”
“I LOVE DUNKIN DONUTS BECAUSE THEY UNDERSTAND REALTY.SUGAR IS POISONOUS WHERE SWEETNERS ARE IT'S ANTI DRUG .Kid-friendliness: THE STAFF BELIEVES AND ENFORCES A POLICY OF PROGRESS TOMORROW STARTS TODAY.Wheelchair accessibility: ROLL IN ROLL OUT WOTH A WARM AND FUZZY FEELING ON THE TUMMY .”
“I came here to relax for a little bit. I had been walking from the spare time bowl and my feet was hurting so I came in to charge my phone. Grab a bite to eat and also figure out directions back to the bus station in Portland..The place was quite not as packed which was good. I hope to come back and visit again soon”
“This is a great location! Their menu was stocked and everything was made very well. Great consistency across all the times we've gone and makes a great stop after shopping at BJs right down the road.”
“Vegetarian options: There's no sausage in the coffee and they've got all of the milk and cream alternatives you want.Dietary restrictions: Why would you be at Dunkin' if you were on a diet in the first place ? Really now...Parking: Plenty.Kid-friendliness: Very patient service for kids who aren't stuck on tech so hard that they can't look up. If you have the iPad kid you'll be surprised how fast they come back to reality for a donut.Wheelchair accessibility: Roll in, roll out, do a donut dance and shake it all about.”
“All I got was a strawberry frosty wich was amazing. I luv me some Wendy's frosty to cool down with..Parking: The parking is very easy and free with plenty of room.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes I do believe I saw a handicap accessible.”
“Double D’Souza on Auburn st Portland is my #1 go 2 for all my morning needs before work! The morning crew are so so busy and they still have time for your wants and needs ! I go in and everything is always ready and perfect, and I always get a “Have a Great Day Larry”!”
“The bad reviews posted by other people had me worried, but I had a pretty decent breakfast (and no problems) at 8:30 AM on a Wednesday. In the mornings, they just have one employee working (I assume she's the manager) and she is both your cashier and your cook. She did a good job on my breakfast, and I enjoyed it.Later in the day, a second employee comes in to help with lunch rush time.”
“This place has chronically dropped the ball on customer service. But seeing how the manager treats people based on what I guess is social status, it's not the employees fault.”
“Cheesy, overstuffed, meaty and damn delicious. How the hell does Taco Bell have so many locations that DON'T make food like this place. Whoever was working the grill when I rolled up knows whats up. It's everything you want at taco bell and no fillers. I would have tipped the cook 10 bucks but it was closed. High five whoever you are!Parking: About 12 to 18”

“This place has really nailed their flavors. From mocktails to lunch options and their different sauces, all their flavors are so well marinated and balanced. If you like spicy food they do have a few spicier options that also slap! Their ice cream sandwich is always getting ordered by me even if I am stuffed I’ll make room! It’s so good!”

“Came here in the summer with some friends, it's a great place to sip a couple of great beers and chill out. There are other breweries very close too so you could make a whole day of it!!”
“This coffee shop was great! I had a coconut cream pie latte, which was delicious!I also had a bacon, egg, and liptao breakfast sandwich. The bacon was cooked perfectly, and the whole thing was tasty!Next time I'm in Portland, I will definitely be back!”
“Root Wild Kombucha is filling a hole in our hearts left by Urban Farm. Their kombuchas are light and complex, more refreshing than funky (for the most part). They have both 1% and 4.5% kombuchas, and a few beers on tap. The atmosphere was inviting and friendly, and the staff was knowledgeable and engaging.”
“This is one of my favorite places in Portland. The coffee is excellent, the atmosphere is so lovely, and the baristas are local treasures. Hooray for Future Swan (or at least that's what the regulars call it)!”
“Been several times since they add pizza great place great beer great pizza. pizza nice change of pace not the normal run of the mill pizza. I highly recommend you try it for your self!!!”
“I've eaten here a few times now, both take out and sit in and it's always delicious. The Mofungo is probably my favorite menu item, but don't sleep on the Empanadas either!”
“OMG dog friendly;!!!!!!!! I had the pulled pork and it was very. Tasty but needed a little more sauce and more of the onions. Don't forget the delicious Cole slaw. Don't get me wrong we will be back for more food and DARK BEER!!!!!”
“We visited hoping to go to the comedy, but it was postponed. We stayed for dinner and drinks and it was very good. The beers were excellent. The food was great... a burger and grilled cheese. French fries were excellent.”
“Great little bar! Group of nice mellow folks. I always have a good time there, not hectic & rowdy like the old port tends to get! Nice place to go for a few drinks, music & playing a few rounds of pool!”
“1 of the many places to get a beer in the area. All within walking distance. ?♀️Parking: Some parking lots within walking distance they fill up fast. Great area with many brewpubs and places to eat.”
“I was already digging in and forgot to take a picture before I started. A very delicious diner for breakfast food. I am from Texas and this reminded me of all the old time diners back home. Delicious!”
“I come here for lunch often during the summer months after teaching tennis lessons all morning. The staff is friendly. They know I’ve been running around on that grind and they make me massive and tasty sandwiches.I’m thankful for the people here.”
“Great friendly staff and excellent wraps made with love. Every ingredient shines through and the crispy Syrian pita is the perfect vehicle to carry all of the great flavors.”
“We love their products. Our go to items: Bulkie Rolls, Italian Rolls, Italian Bread, Hot Dog Buns and Hamburger Buns. We also try to buy Botto's before any other brand of these types of bread items.Great news is they also sell their products through, Hannaford in the greater Portland Area - although it sells out quickly.I hope to try their special desserts sometime around the holiday.Highly recommend.”
“Everything we tried was good! Tough not to find a beer you will like! Great service and the Vietnamese Food Truck in their kitchen is amazing! You gotta check this spot out.. oh and Happy Hour everything is $5!”
“Excellent! Favorite restaurant in Portland. Delicious, nourishing comfort food. BYOB. Everything is always fresh and tasteful-- have dined here several times and tried most of the menu. Homey atmosphere and friendly, gracious hosts. What a special place. Thank you!”
“I visited before Covid and remember it being good, but underwhelmed by the size of the dish and injera given. Came here for date night before a show the other night. The atmosphere is casual with nice cultural art. The two of us shared the vegetarian sampler, a $70 platter, that is advertised to feed 3-4 people, thinking we’d have some leftovers for later. The dishes were very tasty and the honey wine was alright. The biggest downside was that we polished off that platter in a matter of minutes. The portions were definitely not going to feed 3-4 people. Maybe 3-4 children. A bit disappointed that we paid so much money for such a small portion, it makes we wonder if they altered the portion size because there was only two of us? I don’t know, but maybe ordering a couple of entrees instead of the sampler would’ve been better, though I’m not convinced it would’ve been any better of a portion size.Again, the service was good, the food was good, it just left us wanting more.”
“Another great brewery in Portland. They don't have flights which I don't love but you can get small pours of all their beers. They have some wine options as well if you aren't into beer. They serve some snacks but typically have a food truck on site. I'm not a huge beer fan but when they have a sour I typically get it. Large inside and outside seating area, which is great for big groups. They also have corn hole. A fun brewery to stop at, with lots of parking out back as well.”
“Best Puerto Rican food I’ve ever had!!! Will come here everytime im in Portland!Everyone was so nice! Especially the chef! The atmosphere, everything was 10/10, highly recommend, trust me!”

“If you want a 'good ole smoker feed', go to a roadside pit, if you want a new look on BBQ, this is the place! “Have been before for dinner but was fortunate to have brunch yesterday and it was amazing. The uni special, citrus salad, chorizo egg sandwich and tuna crudo were all fantastic. Service was excellent as well.”
“Phenomenal brunch spot!Friendly service, cozy and charming atmosphere and delicious food. My dish specifically was just a tiny touch dry, but that was more my fault as I piled my hash on the generous size of toast (so really it was nothing that couldn’t have been resolved if I accepted their offer for ketchup or jam), but it was still so delicious that it didn’t even matter.Mimosa selection is fantastic and very generous in size.We came as tourists but will be recommending this place to any of our friends if we know that they’re heading to Portland.”
“Been coming here weekly for the last year. Great food and drinks. Micah is a wonderful server as well. Only complaint is our fav dish is the poke bowl and the recipe changed recently which we were not fans of. Bring it back please ?.”
“My wife and I had a wonderful dining experience! We had a dozen raw assorted oysters, Oysters Rockefeller, Caviar, Tuna Tare Tare, Lobster Rolls, and the Fish Chowder. ALL were excellent. Service was spectacular. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed!”

Olive Cafe
“Olive Cafe is excellent! They offer fantastic food, an extensive menu of Mediterranean inspired Lebanese cuisine, great service and a friendly staff. I look forward to my next visit!”
“This place is a gem. And for 42 bucks for the omakase it's a steal. Was pleasantly surprised at the amount of courses included. I think it ended up being like 9 if you count the edamame.”
“The best Chinese restaurant in Maine, NH, or VT. Detail in every dish, this is Sichuan food from the owners hometown in Sichuan, not the more popularized Sichuan cuisine found in most of China.Note: there are only a handful of places in Maine, NH, or VT to get Chinese food, the rest is American Chinese, it's not the same. Portland Maine has most of them.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and vegan dishes that are supposed to be that way. Totally traditional, no modification needed.Dietary restrictions: Nearly all restrictions can be met by ordering the correct items.Parking: No parking for restaurant. You must fight for parking in downtown Portland. The restaurant is in the center of Portland. There is a lot of street parking, but always very hard to find a spot, especially in summer, weekends, and dinnertime.Kid-friendliness: Very friendly towards children, but no children's menu. Order fried rice for kids is my recommendation, then offer small bits of other food.”

“I wish you could give half stars because this place was probably a 3.5 and not 4. We had some buns and the chicken sandwich. Decent but nothing extraordinary. There are lots of things on the menu that sounded good that we did not get but the selections were fairly limited. With so many other great places left to try in Portland and so many places we love I can't see uss going back - but don't let that stop you from trying it, we all have different tastes and I feel like I'm in the minority here given their really solid rating.”
“Arguably the best lobster roll in Portland, so delicious! They also have a huge selection of wine and beer. Check out the giftshop for merch along with home made Whoopie Pies.”
“Came here on New Year’s Eve, for lunch. With small children and a vegetarian, bar food seldom makes everyone happy, but this place was a great surprise!Firstly, the bartender was awesome! He offered me beer samples so I can decide on drinks and answered questions about the food.We had the pork cheese sandwich; the tacos; vegetarian fried green beans; a cezar salad; fries and grilled shrimp. For being a bar with a grill, the food was great! The atmosphere was relaxed and we felt good and welcomed here. I would surely come back.”
“I got a blackberry vodka and some garlic fries, and they were both so good! There was only 1 lady working the whole place alone. Props to her for doing great with all the larger groups that came in (a group of 10 came in when we were eating) . Everyone's food and drinks were great. Good little spot”
“5 star experience all the way around. Cozy pub that is tucked away off the beaten-path. So many drink options and a solid food menu to please anyone who comes in. I recommend the salads and wings!”

“We got the Grapow Gai Kai Dow and Piyathida's dumplings and both were amazing! Everything tasted very fresh. Got some Shrimp Crackers as well for a little snack later. Very tasty!”
“This is a hidden gem in Portland. If you like thin crust pizza this place is the best. It is unique, not like anything else in the city, but that is the point. It is excellent. You may not like the style of crust, but the ingredients are all top notch. The staff all seem personally invested in the success of the restaurant, which is great. The atmosphere is incredibly comfortable and laid back. Also, there is parking - a rare thing in downtown Portland. Try the Dean Martin pizza and the dessert Nutella Pizza. You will not be disappointed. My new favorite restaurant in Portland, now that Emalitsa has closed. Yes, I am putting Coals on the same playing field as one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at.Parking: There is plenty of free parking in the lot behind the building.”
“I have been meaning to try Tomasos for some time - what a mistake to not come sooner. Who doesn’t love hot sausage and cold beer? We found a small table and thought we’d just have drinks, but went for food after seeing the menu. We were blown away by how awesome it was for such “simple” bar food. Service was amazing, everyone was exceptionally kind. Drink selection incredible, lots of really nice liquors on the shelf even though I stuck to beer. Tomasos rocks.”

“I can't foods that contain gluten, soy, or dairy. Meat choices have to be no nitrates or nitrites.I can eat almost everything on the menu. The food is fresh. The gluten free toast is Amazing! And today I discovered their cashew cheese. So good. My new favorite place.Great lattes too. I love that I can add collagen or other things they offer to my drink.”
“I highly recommend visiting at least once. The seafood is incredibly fresh, which makes it taste deliciously sweet. The flavor and service are top-notch. If you live nearby, it's the kind of taste you'd want to enjoy every day.”

“Food is amazingly good. I had the house special biryani. The portion was ridiculous! It was moist and very flavorful and the raita was perfect to tone down the extra spiciness I asked for. The aloo nan was giant and delicious. Looking forward to trying other dishes in the future. Just what I needed. Very nice flavor!”
“Came here after a first tattoo at a nearby shop and WHAT a great way to mend the anxiety of a fresh tattoo. I got the Lobster Ramen and was very impressed by how good it was and what a perfect Maine blend into a classic soup :)”

“Amazing food here. Party of 7 with no res on Saturday night and we were seated immediately. Kids and parents alike were blown away. They have a very small menu but everything on it was just delicious. I guess this is one of Portland's many hidden gems. Usually you can't find food this unique and amazing with no wait at all. One last thing: try the fried chicken sandwich, I've never had anything quite like it.”
“Favorite Coffee place in Portland!!!! Support local, don't let this gem go without the attention it deserves! Low key not pumped for when it inevitably blows up for the tourists - but for now its mostly locals and its a DREAM! GREAT staff, GREAT food, GREAT coffee... what more could you want?!!? thankful to live just up the road so I can go often”
“I've eaten here a couple times. I'm never left. Disappointed or hungry. The food is amazing and the portions are great. The people that are running the place are also very nice and lovely hosts of their restaurant.Parking can be a challenge in this area. We found public parking across the street and down the road a bit. If it's not too cold out this is perfectly fine.”

“After being recommended this spot multiple times, I took date night as the opportunity to try it out. Let me just say, I haven’t stopped thinking about this meal. We started out with the Moo Ping which was okay, and then enjoyed the Blossom Dumplings which was impossible not to devour in one bite. The star of this entire review is the Mee Ka Te which had a spicy curry broth that was unlike any other flavor I have had before. The service was fast and the Thai Tea was perfect. For sure, will be back.”
“Love grabbing a late lunch here before work. I'd recommend the tortellini in red sauce, a slice while you wait, and cannoli for later. Authentic Italian in a convenient location and not a bad price.”

“Amazing staff and service complimented by delicious drinks! The atmosphere is relaxing and changes depending on the season to spice things up! Great diversity of people and friendly for all age groups! Furthermore, I believe it is the best spot in Portland to enjoy some time off! On the staff topic, I have never been treated more like family at any establishment!”
“This place is in a converted garage. Parking is very limited. Seating is "family style" so you'll be sitting with new friends. The bulk of the menu is deep fried. On weekends they offer deep fried lobster! Yummy. All of the food is very tasty, hands down. A few times we tried to go but parking was impossible. Be persistent, however, it'll be worth it.Parking: Hit or miss.”
“We went to Tipo last night for Valentine's Day dinner and it did not disappoint! I apologize that I do not remember our server's name, but she was funny, attentive, and warm. The food was delicious and we topped it off with the best tiramisu I've ever had. Such a great spot-we look forward to coming back soon!”
“We had our welcome party here the day before our wedding and it was wonderful! Rebecca was so easy to work with and made the whole process a breeze. Everyone had such a great time and the staff did an awesome job serving over 100 guests.”
“Wonderful service in a laid-back atmosphere. Best cornbread with house-made butter I've ever had!Dietary restrictions: My wife has Celiac and other allergies but Noble was knowledgeable and helpful in selecting options.”

Street & Co
“Street & Co has amazing dishes. Everything I’ve ever ordered at Street is delicious. I recommend the linguini and clams - although the menu changes often depending on what’s fresh in Portland. It is pricey, but worth the ”
“Maine restaurant week visit. I think the menu for the event is different from the regular menu. It WAS very tasty even so. Waitress attentive even with multiple tables and one very large group.”

“Great food, great service, reasonable prices, and open late. It's a pretty nice bar and restaurant. I found the music to be too loud and it was difficult to have a conversation with the person at my own table.”

“Visiting from out of town, we stopped here for dinner as it was conveniently located near our airbnb and this place did not disappoint! We had the Kanom Jeeb Gai (chicken dumplings), woon-sen pad Thai and kra-prao chicken! Everything was extremely flavorful and fresh, highly recommend!”
“This was a takeout order, first time trying this restaurant and we were thrilled to find a place we are eager to try again. We has a Saigon egg roll, steamed dumplings, Vietnamese noodles with pork, sweet n sour chicken and curry chicken. Everything was fresh and flavorful and veggies were the right crispness even after traveling home with our order, yay. We were especially impressed with the curry chicken—the sauce was perfect in taste and texture. Looking forward to trying more of what’s on the menu.”
“Lovely!! Jim at the bar is great at making drinks and so friendly. I was there by myself and heade me feel very welcome! Also gave me a sample of the chocolate/salted caramel and it was delicious.I got an espresso martini and adored it!”

Tandoor
“Tandoor is the bomb! Seriously, their food is bursting with flavor and authenticity. From the juicy tandoori dishes to the fragrant biryanis, every bite is a treat. The vibe is chill, and the service is top-notch. If you love Indian food, you gotta check out Tandoor!”
“This place is great for room service or eating in the restaurant. Friendly staff, friendly guests, and multiple comfortable places to sit and chill. I stay at the adjacent hotel 3+ times a year because of the food options, bar and location.”
“The service was average the food was tasty, but it felt like the entrees where ingredients put together rather a cohesive dish. The apps were great though! I will return to see if I just happened to pick the wrong entrees or go at a very busy time.”
“It was my first time here. It's an actual restaurant boat on the water! It doesn't sway with the waves, so I'm fairly certain it's stuck there.I was under dressed as this entire trip was a pleasant surprise with a friend. From the moment I stepped in side the door, I felt myself welcome. The staff and patrons are so incredibly kind humans. The food was delicious. I witnessed the manager walking around and introducing himself to guests and shaking hands. Even leaving, I was sad to go. I hope one day we can go again.”
“Always very interesting (but delicious) wines by the glass to offer, and the service is outstanding. The little market has some lovely essentials. The space is very cool and the concept is perfect. Tempted stop in any time I walk by.”
“Docked one star just because under construction and parking was tough. Amazing oysters with lots of local options... Ican now confidently say East coast oysters beat West Coast!”

“One of the best sushi restaurants in Portland Maine! Decided to check this place out with my husband during our visit and thoroughly enjoyed their sushi amongst all other food :) server was also very generous and made our date night special. We were also sitting by the sushi counter, which was entertaining to watch the chefs in action!Overall, would definitely come back here again and try some of their other menu items during our next visit in town.”
“The food was good. I definitely plan to go back.We made the mistake of not having a reservation and so had to wait almost an hour on Saturday night. It's a busy spot. Our food also took a while, so it may be better to go at a less busy time if you are a more hurried diner. We had a vegetarian with us who liked the food they got.”

“I've been to Thailand and I've tried many Thai restaurants in and around New England. The food coming out of this kitchen is excellent! My personal favorite is their Pad Se Ewe, but the Pad Thai is also very good. If you're in downtown Portland and looking for a Thai restaurant, look no further than this place. You won't be disappointed.”
“Great atmosphere, friendly and attentive service, and delicious food the potion doesn’t reflect the premium, however. If food portion was 30% more, it would be 5-star.The lobster toast is a must have but 3 small bites is $17 or $22 with governments tax , restaurant appreciation tax and tip”

“Stopped in to try this place after seeing the menu online. The atmosphere is very quaint and fresh. The staff is warm, friendly, and more than willing to have a good chat if they're not too busy. The evening bartender is especially fantastic! Our server recommended a wonderful white wine to accompany my dinner and was extremely careful to make sure the chef was aware of my specific allergy. We had the papaya salad, green beans, lumpia, the duck steamed bun special (easily the best thing I had to eat, so so good), and finished with the coconut tres leches. Food was delicious and tasted fresh, I especially enjoyed that I could see the chef working in the kitchen through the service window. 5/5 I will definitely be returning for another date night in the future!Dietary restrictions: I have a deathly allergy to shrimp exclusively, my server was very careful to take the time to understand the extent of my allergy and relay that information to the chef so that I was able to enjoy my meal without worrying about finding an epipen.Parking: Large multi-level 24/7 paid parking garage about 1000-ft from the business. Cost at time of visit was $7/hr.”

“Great atmosphere, very inviting, toddler chairs are available. Beer and wine at the moment. Good is very flavorful.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free itemsKid-friendliness: Comfortable booth seating and high chairs for small kids”
“Solid spot. Bit of a dive, bit of a sports bar, bit of a pub. Good wings, tenders, and burgers, and a nice beer list to match. Little parking lot out front is convenient, and there's usually a seat inside even when it's crowded. Fries can be a little soggy and wish their cheap beers were a bit cheaper, but otherwise a great neighborhood spot.Definitely try the sweet spicy chili sauce if you go for the wings!”

“Vegetarian options: Of the 7 main pasta dishes on the menu tonight, 3 were vegetarian. I had the sheep's milk ricotta gnudi, and it was SPECTACULAR!Dietary restrictions: They offer gluten free pasta options, however, be aware that it is made on shared equipment with the gluten-containing pasta.”

“In February, we journeyed from New York to Portland. Despite the chilly weather hindering our enjoyment, the highlight of our trip was undoubtedly the dinner experience here! Finding a restaurant that meets the standards set by New York's great culinary scene is a challenge, but this place exceeded expectations. If you're in Portland or nearby, it's a must-try! You can truly taste the passion chef puts into his cooking.”

“Very nice market. Fairly small in the winter months, but definitely worth the visit. There was a good variety of vendors. We especially liked the honey and jam. There were also plenty of vegetables and meats to choose from. No parking fee. Definitely recommend.”

“Excellent food. We had the pasta w fennel sausage, the short rib , the smoked scallops, and the lobster popover. Serving sizes are small ( typical for tapas), the prices are however closer to a main course. Quality is great, service exceptional. If you can afford it, this place is awesome.”
“Wow!What a cool place. It’s like a high end European restaurant made a baby with a homey/comfort food restaurant- and what you get is this place. The prices were super affordable for the quality of the ingredients. Every dish we tried left my friend and I staring at each other after the first bite with big sparkly “omggg “ eyes. Our server was really lovely and attentive. The kitchen is open. The dining set up is very spacious but still quite a lot of seating. Very clean. Can’t wait to go back asap.”
“Portland, Maine’s Best sandwich/wrap shop of 2023 Po' Boys & Pickles is the real deal! The authentic Creole New Orleans' flavors are on point. Counter service was fast and friendly. The Blackened fish sandwich($15) is not to be missed! The sandwich is dressed with Cajun Cole slaw, sliced tomato and red pepper mayo. This is a huge sandwich, easily shareable and absolutely delicious!! The bread is from Leidenheimer Bakery, New Orleans. Founded in 1896, Leidenheimer's is the last of the old-school Po' boy bakeries. Po' Boys & Pickles has made the commitment to using the best bread and most authentic ingredients in all of their Po' boys and sandwiches. Truly an homage to New Orleans!! You can taste the goodness in every bite. The perfect accompaniment was a basket of sweet potato fries($6).The fries were perfectly crisp, not greasy, plentiful and delicious. Great quality, inexpensive dining experience!! I love this place and you will too! Highly recommend.”
“I work downtown and visit here when I can for the burritos, Mac and Cheese…oh right and the best of all-the cookies! Always friendly and they know how to keep it moving. Give them a try if you can!”

Mr. Tuna
“First time at Mr. Tuna stopped in for lunch. Customer service was excellent the variety of entrees were plentiful. The food was fresh and delicious. The Miso Soup was good not too salty. The sushi was a little on the small side compared to other sushi places in town but delicious.Regarding the ambiance the restaurant is simple and shares space with another restaurant. If you’re wanting good food in a simple dining space Mr. Tuna is definitely a great choice!!”

Clam Bar
“We were in the area and decided to stop by even though it was raining - thankfully they let us sit inside a little shack to stay dry while we enjoyed our food. Clam basket was eh but the crap queso was SO good - would highly recommend. Pretty location overlooking the water and the guys working were very kind and had great recommendations!”
“We've had two lovely brunches at 1895 and would definitely go back again. Next time we'll try them for dinner. The room itself is elegant, more so than a typical brunch place but the prices aren't any higher. We didn't do it, but their website indicates they have valet parking and we did see some people using it when we were leaving. When you look at the menu you'll see a number of brunch-type items on the regular menu but they also had additional ones on a special brunch menu. We both had benedicts and liked them.”
“Super cute, went to see a local artists art up! Had a lovely little drink, and enjoyed the vibes a lot.The space is a little small, and i imagine could feel quite cramped on a really busy day.Doesnt seem to be wheelchair accessible unfortunately.Wheelchair accessibility: There are a couple steps into the main door which is also at an angle.Unless they have a back door i do not believe they are wheelchair accessible”

“A fantastic meal with an even better experience!! I decided to make reservations here to celebrate my birthday ( this was my gift to myself beside the trip lol ) because I saw the chef's tasting menu and wanted to do something special. The restaurant called to confirm about 5-6 hours before my reservation and informed me that I would have a counter/bar seat. You don't get that often but it was a nice heads up and reminder. I arrived a little earlier than my time but I was seated as soon as I arrived but it wasn't super crowded in there either. The restaurant is tiny and has a very intimate vibe going on with an open , it's like the perfect date night location if you can afford to splurge a little.”

“First-timer at this local staple. Got a Roast beef and Swiss sub. Perfect proportion of meat and veg. And the bread!! Oh I feel so excited to find bread that made me feel like I’m coming home. Kind and fast service. I’ll be back.”
“Not sure where Melanie got her food but it certainly wasn’t from this establishment. The owners are a husband and wife team that work 24 seven and put out amazing food and the customer service is excellent. I am not looking forward to the day they retire. My children grew up with them and they knew them by name and still do 20+ years later. Mrs Winslow?”
“Never been here before, so I didn't know what to expect. It was pretty busy for a Tuesday and the vibe was positive. The service was fast, the food was decent and when there was problem with one of the meals, the meal was refund upon checkout. I will return again for another meal, drink, whatever. Another review will also be on the Menu. I liked Bruno's.”
“This place should have a solid 5 stars! Amaaaaazingly fresh fish (even in the winter), great prices, fabulous diversity in sake and Japanese whisky, knowledgeable servers, and brilliant outdoor patio. Shout out to Gabby, server extraordinaire, who goes the extra mile for customer service while being unpretentious and informative. She's been here through two owners and 10 years - this place treats their folks well, it seems! And - ummmm - can we talk about the heated bidet situation in the bathroom?! Love this place for quality, class, and convenience! Highly recommend reservations in peak season, but you won't regret the extra step to cut to the front of the verrrry long line! Keep up the good work, crew!”

“Stopped by here for the first time on New Years Eve..the bartender said they're closing down to revamp the restaurant, and after trying their food I was kind of bummed to hear that! The ribs were tender and flavorful with a nice smokey spicy flavor. The staff was great. Cold beers and good food, what more could you ask for?”
“The food was great. The service... Great once we got it. We stood around for 5 or 6 minutes, during the lunch hour, at the register. No other customers were in the store, and the staff (3 of them) were sitting around at a table talking. Finally, one of them asked if we needed to order.Once we were finally helped, the food was great.”

“Food presentation and tastes were excellent. We enjoyed the wide selection of small dishes as we tend to share while dining out as a preference. Interesting twists to traditional Italian fare.Excellent service.Recommended with enthusiasm.”
“First, I would say the name is a bit deceiving calling it a bar and grill, we expected a burger bar and did not expect the prices. Not did a lot of people we saw sit then scoot. The prices are steep but the food and service was amazing. We got drinks and a couple appetizers, bang bang shrimp and calamari. They were amazing and surprisingly huge portions. The bartenders were very knowledgeable on food and drinks. I'd go back here for sure.”

“Went here with friends for dinner. A traditional Italian restaurant operated by people who care. I think we all took a "doggy bag" home because the portions were so large. My friend (who likes to complain) kept saying in a kvetching tone "there's too much for me to eat" like that was a bad thing. Was definitely worth the drive into Portland even though we are surrounded with good restaurants near us.”
“Absolutely loved this place. Very unique flavors, perfect to walk through the old port with an ice cream in hand. Prices a little higher but for what it was it was worth it.”
“I was already digging in and forgot to take a picture before I started. A very delicious diner for breakfast food. I am from Texas and this reminded me of all the old time diners back home. Delicious!”
“This was our first time to this restaurant and the experience was wonderful . The service was superb. Our waitress advised us to put our full order in so we could make our 630 show and we weren't rushed. The food was awesome ...we had the Gemelli and Cioppino, the bruschetta with tomatoes and mozzarella and the baked Crespelle. Outstanding 5/5 will definitely return”
“Edna was a great server . Food was great . Don’t know why people are dissing this place the portion sizes are decent . It was a bit more than what I would have spent at Burger King and it was most likely healthier than Burger King . It was incredibly filling . I spent like 20$ for a full meal .”

“My favorite lunch spot! The food is so fresh and clean. I always feel like I could bath in the hummus. They make it and it is the best you'll find on the East coast. It is a small business so everyone is very friendly and local so you'll likely see them out too. It's a place I take everyone!!”
“On a day trip to Portland Maine, I had to try a Wild Maine Blueberry pie. Yelp led me to Two Cats Bakery a charming bakery in downtown Portland. I had a mini blueberry pie and it was delicious with incredible blueberry flavor and a flaky buttery crust. There were pies for sale as well as merchandise and housemade products.
