While visiting Portland Maine we took the Lighthouse Lovers Tour. It was a one hour very informative, narrated cruise around the inner islands, and lighthouses in Casco Bay. The boat has a upper and lower deck, and we decided to sit at the back of the boat on the upper deck. But there is great viewing from any seat, and you can also walk around to grab a photo. The boat has a restroom, snacks, and beverages on board. We really enjoyed this cruise, and would recommend adding it to your list of things to do in Portland.

This was fun to be on the water. Our tour guide, Josh, was informative and interesting. Places to sit inside and out. The smell of diesel outside was overpowering most of the time, so if u r sensitive to vapors sit inside. There is a bar with snacks and bathrooms aboard. Good value, boat seats about 125 people. Get there early for a choice of seating.

So pleased with their customer service and tour experience! I accidentally missed my tour because of changing time zones and they were so kind and accommodating. The trolley driver Wendy Lee was funny and knowledgeable and kept us on schedule! It moved quickly but didn't feel rushed. Would highly recommend!

My friend and I took a tour of Portland and the lighthouse with Wendy Lee today. She was very knowledgeable, entertaining, and enjoyable. We learned so much about the city and its history. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Portland, Maine

On a recent visit to Maine, we took a Harbor LIghts and Sights Cruise with Portland Discovery, and we had a blast. Our boat was air conditioned and comfortable, with open air seating on the top deck and indoor seating on the bottom deck by the bar. We sat on the bottom deck to escape the sun, and we were able to hear and enjoy everything on the tour. The windows were super clean for capturing pictures as well. We booked our tour online a few days before visiting, and our tickets were ready and easy to pick up from the stand outside. It was easy to find our boat as well. The tour was informative, and we learned about lighthouses, forts, and Maine's history. We visited Fort Williams Park and Portland Head Light the next day. Our tour was at 3:30 PM, but I would recommend doing a morning tour or either a sunset tour, as many shops in Downtown Portland were closing when we got back from the tour. Overall, it was worth the $40 per person and I would recommend it to other tourists in Portland.

I have booked and enjoyed two Portland: Best of Maine Lighthouse Scenic Cruises, each a month apart. This boat tour is informative and fun for individuals of all ages. The first cruise we went on was in June 2023. It was a smaller boat than the one we went on this past weekend in July 2023. On the first tour we had some issues hearing the tour guide on the boats speakers. What we did hear was very interesting and informative. On our second boat tour we were on a bigger boat. We had no problem hearing and seeing, but the guide on the second boat wasn't as informative. What I'm saying is, as enjoyable as this boat tour is the tour guides are not equally helpful.

Came in from Tampa, FL yesterday, late, and set out early today for a Portland Sight Seeing experience. Wendy, our lead "sight see-er" was really knowledgeable about Portlands history and gave us a snap shot of Portland's on & off tourist seasons. Good pace and good amount of information by not getting into the weeds. Nice opportunity mid way through to get off the bus & walk around the Portland Headlight. Hop on & enjoy!

We took the trolley tour around Portland by Steve. He knew everything about Portland, facts jokes and people. Very interesting tour well worth the $$.
We signed up for the Portland city and lighthouse. It was a great tour. We had plenty of time to get off the cruise ship. The walk to the pick up was 1/4 mile. Guide was very interesting and had lots of trivia

I had three friends from out of state visiting me in Portland and we went on the lighthouse cruise. Our tour guide was excellent and extremely informative. I really enjoyed the experience. The boat was comfortable and there were indoor bathrooms which was a bonus! Everything was clean and nice. There was fully stocked bar but we did not imbibe because it was morning!

We booked a last minute sunset cruise with Portland Discovery after reading all of the positive reviews. We were able to book directly through their vendor stand at the dock/harbor. All of the staff we encountered were super friendly and we absolutely LOVED our tour guide on board. We learned so much about Portland, had a lovely drink on board and saw a gorgeous sunset. We saw a lot of animals and birds as well. The boat left on time and it wasn't too expensive at all. We would highly recommend this company to see Portland from the water.

Took the lighthouse sunset cruise and it was fantastic! Captain Todd and the host/tour guide Emma were both A+. Both were fun and super informative about Portland itself as well as ships, seals, lobsters and the history. We even saw two bald eagles and learned their story. Saw many lighthouses and learned the history of each. Emma made the cruise fantastic! Lovely night! Highly recommend.

We went on a Lighthouse Lovers Boat Tour yesterday and it was hands down the best guided tour I've been on to date. It was a beautiful day, nice and comfortable boat but the big point was the tour guide and really cool facts that they share through out. Nicole was our guide and she was fabulous. She did a wonderful job engaging the crowd (yet still letting us take in the sights), was extremely knowledgeable and was really comical - making the tour interesting and light during the 60 minutes. Would highly recommend this tour!
