This place is legit. This is how Pho should be done. Fresh, authentic ingredients, many protein options, large, hearty portions. The service was fast and very professional even during a busy dinner rush. Nice beer and wine options as well. We rolled out, full and content, with plans to return.

In a word: Outstanding! I took my sweetheart here for her birthday and I'm so glad I did and she is too! It was a quiet Tuesday night and we had our choice of seats. She likes the window seats so, that is where we headed. We had been here before but it had been a couple of years. I forgot how big the servings are, especially the soup! She had a seafood soup with lots of seafood and I had a seafood combo stir fry also with lots of seafood. Attentive wait staff without being over the top made this a wonderful experience. Highly recommend

Service was quick. The food was also very good and reasonably priced. They put a lot of meat in my pho which was great. It got quiet busy in the evening and they need an extra helper. The lady was running around like crazy. Bathroom was clean but it was weird that they put the big mop and bucket in there.

The egg rolls were good and pipping hot just like I like them. The shrimp spring roll were gigantic and fresh but mostly filled with lettuce. Nevertheless a good appetizer. The pho here is something I would not eat here again. The broth was flavorless and so watered down . Their siracha was watered down . Not sure why but it is. First time I didn't finish my bowl of pho. The steak was over cooked so it was tough to chew. Overall I may come back to try other stuff on the menu but not the beef soup.

Ordered two raw beef pho soups to be delivered...got here and all it included was broth, sprouts and noodles absolutely no beef. I hate complaining but for the amount of money I spent I expect the right food. And when I called, twice, no one answered the phone

We love Vietnamese cuisine - which is hard to find in Maine. Our favorite place still is Long Grain in Camden - but Veranda gives it a run for the money! Fresh spring rolls are a real test for this cuisine. Veranda delivers! Another test is the quality of the pho (soup). Here again, Veranda hits the mark - the wonton chicken and pork pho is as good as we have had anywhere - including Long Grain and other favorite spots in New York and Vancouver. The value cannot be beat - we were pleasantly shocked at how reasonable our tab was. Add prompt, professional service and you really have a must-go restaurant!

This is a restaurant you want to like. The staff are pleasant, the dining room is clean and inviting and there is ample parking. Portions are generous. The problem: the food just is not that good. I was struck by how fresh the ingredients are. There is too much lettuce in everything.\ Spring rolls were bland, well below the flavor quality of other Vietnamese restaurants. The peanut sauce was oddly thick and bland. There is no option for a shrimp and pork combination. The larger plates, as mentioned above, were ample. My lunch friend ate his without comment. I had the noodle salad with duck, and found it bland. The duck was pretty good though a bit dried out. Something seemed to be missing in the salad, though, because it seemed just to be duck, noodles and lettuce, and the lettuce overshadowed the other ingredients, whatever they were. I get the sense that the restaurant has simplified traditional Vietnamese taste profile in an effort to make them appealing to Americans. Perhaps they are on target, since the restaurant was fairly busy (including a lot of takeout). I have no objection to their doing that, but have eaten Vietnamese food for a long time and Veranda Noodle would fall low in my ranking of the p[laces where I have had it.

Picked up an Uber Eats delivery here and it smelled so good inside I returned with my girlfriend to dine in. i’ve lived here for four years and didn’t even know the place existed. Not sure how long its been here? Outside appearance is nothing special, but inside its a cute little casual place with nice ambiance. Wait staff were fast and friendly. Most entrees $13-18. full bar.

Disappointing lunch at noodle house near waterfront in Portland. Classic soup dishes with tasty broth but the mystery meat was grizzle and inedible. Organ meat (gizzards) substituted for chicken and nothing else going on in the soup beyond rice noodles. Glassware had dried food from Previous customer. Waitress preoccupied.

I eat Pho whenever possible. I try to keep up with openings, closings, and kitchen changes, etc. I have always enjoyed the food at Veranda and I am so happy to report that after not being here in over a year due to Covid, this place still rocks a supreme bowl.

We eat here twice a week. We went tonight, there were three other tables, after waiting 1.5 hours I finally went up and asked how much longer for my fried rice. I was told she had no idea and had been fighting with the kitchen to make it. Finally, they brought Out my friends meal, but nobody else's. Everybody around is had been there for twenty minutes and were Eating apps and meals. We finally went up to the register and asked to pay for what we had and the server was so rude saying "what exactly are you taking home and paying for". We said only our drinks - mind you we each got a beer and simple vodka soda. Nothing was comped. We go here twice a week and will not be returning. We ordered sumple items off the menu, we were told it was packed although there was nobody There and we never got our emails after 1.5 hours.

We ordered the PHO and it was outstanding! Full of flavors, tender meat and veggies. The beef teriyaki is great and comes with a peanut dipping sauce. Delicious!

Oh where to start!!! My husband and I went for lunch/dinner. He ordered fried rice with seafood and I ordered jalapeno peppers with beef. Dave's shrimp were so overcooked, they were nearly sawdust (he let me try one). My dish had absolutely NO flavor; had to add soy sauce and sriracha for any taste and the beef!!! Impossible to chew; like it was made of rubber. There was one young lady waiting tables; she forgot our appetizer and tea and actually looked like she'd been hypnotized. I don't think we will ever return!
