“I had dinner at this restaurant while visiting Wiscasset over the weekend on a recommendation from family who lives locally, we actually went twice!! So safe to say we were fans! The decor and surroundings themselves were so homey and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious, I am dreaming about the Haddock sandwich still! Truly the only complaint was the size of the salads which a few members of our party ordered was slightly disappointing. But they said that the flavor was fantastic and the shrimp they added was big and delicious! We also had the crème brûlée for dessert which I am also still dreaming of and probably will be for a while!! The service was fantastic, we absolutely loved our waitress! The whole atmosphere was wonderful; and I am sure we will be back next time we are in town visiting!!“

“I've heard mixed reviews of the Taste Of Orient, so I can only speak of my experiences. The atmosphere is nice, comforting, and quiet, very much the classic American Chinese Restaurant atmosphere. They sometimes have a buffet, but I haven't been there when they had it open. I have had amazing service every time I've been there, very kind and welcoming staff.For this visit I had the Filipino Egg Rolls, Peking Duck, and hot tea. I love the Filipino Egg Rolls, they aren't as heavy feeling as traditional Chinese Egg Rolls that most of us are used to, they are crispy and flavourful. The Peking Duck has a beautiful flavourful spiced sauce, and is tender and moist (there are bones so be aware of that when you bite into a piece). The vegetables help to bring a nice balance to the dish.I have been told that the owners are Filipino, which is why you will find traditional Filipino dishes on the menu,as well as all of your favourite classic Chinese American comfort foods. The food was great, the owner, Brandi was so very kind, accommodating and attentive in caring for us. So was sooo understanding during this difficult time.
