“Always a good meal here. Wait staff very friendly and attentive. Wait time for meals to arrive better than when they first opened and similar to other restaurants.

Parking: At times parking can be a challenge, especially on Congress St. Be sure to try parking on Rive Street and use the back door .”

“The Gatches Burger was to die for. Perfect bread, and the meat Supream....There is no smoking in the Beer Garden...I observed a bit of a tiff war about that with several patrons. (some wanting to start a ruckus - to smoke in the wide open air, and others wanting a tobacco free Maine. Here's the rub. Its a bar. Vices are a devilish desire. (no blood sweat or tears about Those Things. Karaoke Night is fantastic. With a song book with Every song one could invite. Besides the smoking issue... Recommend.”

“We had free Sunday cards from Halloween for the kiddos, so we used them before the deadline. Took a while to get them ready along with 3 slushies.

“It is a coffee shop. Folks were nice, lots of seating, and the type of coffee you would expect out of a fast food joint.

While this place is handicap accessible, don't go into the building during the busy times. The line for the drive through will block you in.”

“I’ve ordered the Reuben at almost every place here between Rumford/Mexico. This is my go to place for it and has been for a while. It’s the best in town and service is exceptional! 10/10 recommend this place and when anyone new in town comes asking for a place to eat, I always tell them Dick’s.”

“I never leave reviews, but I have been thinking about the chipper sandwich I had on Saturday nite since then so I figured I needed to do so. It was one of the most well crafted sandwiches I have ever had! That’s a sloppy sandwich but that thing stayed together perfectly, was cooked perfectly, and had the perfect ratio of everything! I’ve been going to Ellis’ for 30+ years and was up visiting my folks and I was so pleasantly surprised. Whoever made that thing deserves a raise!”

“We recently ate at Far East and had a wonderful meal. The portions were a good size, the meals contained many fresh vegetables and the meats were nicely trimmed with no gristle. We were very happy with our meals and would definitely go again. The restaurant could use some updating, but I’d rather they put the money in good food instead of decor.

Parking: Nice size parking lot on the side of the building.”
